The spawn times are too long so there are so many people there. Most aren't able to loot.

This event isn't going to work very well.

Plan to focus on doing the zone quests line. Usually quest bosses also count as bosses, they are solo and does give skill points.

First days of events tend to be a bit crazy compared to later.
First day of the PvP event it was long wait time to get in even on overflow campaigns.

Well, I did 2.7% damage, the other person in my group did 3.7%. He got loot from the boss and I got nothing.

This is the fourth time I've tried to loot the boss.

new elsweyr zones do not limit loot to 12 people.

and when we had Elsweyr event - getting tickets was NOT a... chance drop. it was guaranteed drop. so not the same at all


this event is a mess TBH. what i would suggest to minimize the messiness, personaly is - kill random outdoor trash until you get tickets and gold box, and THEN kill bosses for quests or whatever.

The pretty sure OP is talking about the cap on how many players get loot. iirc it is 12 players. So if 30 players are waiting for the boss to spawn then less than half will actually get loot.

The lag is so bad. Been disconnected twice because 100 peeps keep throwing down skills on top of the boss. You can't even see him spawn. This is dumb.

Uugh I had no idea, do you mean to say there is a 12 player cap on WB's for this event or is it just tickets but you get the normal WB loot or nothing at all? And only two WB's in the zone? That's just asking for unhappy players, why try at all. I was there when the zone opened up and it was swamped(pardon the pun) with players. Any kind of cap on loot just feels like a slap in the face by ZoS to players. Can you imagine waiting for WB's to spawn and after an hour you get the bad luck to get nothing after killing five WB's? At that point I seriously and I mean dead serious would cancel my account and delete the game and give my money to some other company. This is starting to feel like that point that I quit WoW long ago, serious overhauls on class lines and less and less consideration for the player base. I quit about six months ago due to that feeling with all the class changes but just came back, might be time to rethink my decision. Sorry OP I did not know that was what you were referring to, sorry for your hurt feelings ingame and my first post.

I believe all of them do. Unless they did change something specifically for dragons in Elsweyr.

The cap is on loot in general. If you are not among top 12 damage contributors the body will not even be loot-able.

The vast majority of the game has that cap - see the complaints from people farming Molag Bal's Simulacrum during the IC events.

Boxes drop from any kill in Murkmire; if the bosses are not working for you then try some trash mobs, crocodiles or something..just make sure you have autoloot on so you don't miss anything. These drops seem to be happening fairly regularly so it oughtn't to take too long before you receive one.

Seriously, just stay clear of the world bosses and focus on the trash mobs if you just want tickets.

Maybe I just got lucky, but I just teleported the Dead-Water wayshrine and wandered out. 3 mins later I killed a voriplasm and got 3 tickets and a strongbox.

Which is good, because that's usually the amount time I can stomach these celebration events.

A lot of it is player related, 30 people spamming AOE on the boss spawn point to get the first damage in.
Boss needs a spawn in grace timer. lol

Wouldn't not capping loot to 12 people just solve the issue.

I mean, it would solve the issue for drops but not for the unbearable lag but that's a whole other story....

The reason people are camping the bosses is because they're worried they're going to miss tickets. Even with auto-loot on, it's easy to miss something and lose out on your tickets.
