Theoretically. But I also don't see bot stacks at dolmens (no limit at the chest, not the last boss) and Elsweyr dragons where there's no 12-limit. Even if the entire stack died they could just rez after the fight and pick up the loot.
Maybe it was an anti-botting measure at one point (were bots even more openly botting than they do now?) but it's no longer needed.

Possibly, but if ZOS removed it, it would not be long before it was needed. The question is whether it could be removed, or raised, for the length of an event without the bots joining in.

Hey everyone, just a quick reminder that all monsters in the zone have a chance to drop Event Tickets.

    How much of a chance?
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

Anecdotal evidence, of course, but so far I've gotten my tickets off zone mobs 3 days running. 4 mobs, 3 mobs, 8 mobs.

i am guessing that the drop rate is in the neighborhood of 25%. SWAG.

This has worked for me everyday so far.
    1. Spawn at Blackrose wayshrine.
    2. Head north about 300 yards, turn right find and kill the miregaunt "Swallows the Sun".
    3. Collect 3 tickets and strong box.
Time spent less than 5 min.

So, what worked for me today was to go into Murkmire with a Level 30 character. Had fun with the 2 WB and earned 3 event tickets. Now I'm happy. Now off to the delves!

...But... how are we supposed to get more strongboxes with Voriplasm Pet / Grave stake memento ? One per day on an event that lasts 13 days, with one day "lost" (because of game re-download) - so 12 days... and 14 fragments to get... With RNG you will get some duplicates so event tickets may be not enough.

Any way to get more than one per day ?

It's worse than that, I just collected my box and there was no fragment of either momento within it!

    Sounds like user-error. ;)

It's getting worse, 3 days 3 boxes and only one fragment (of the momento)! I need to find an online guide on how to do this event and open the strongboxes properly! Can a you-tuber please make one so that my user-erroring doesn't stop me from getting a squishy pet?

Not getting any tickets and I've killed three world bosses, ran two delves, done daily quests, regular non-repeatable quests, and gathered wood, herb, and ore nodes.

    What am I doing wrong?

Tickets only drop from monsters. Doing more quests and picking up resources won’t help. You do get double rewards from those, which give you more chances at motifs and materials, but no tickets.

Keep killing *and looting* every mob you can find. Bosses (including world and delve bosses) have a higher chance of dropping tickets, but it will probably be easier to find trash mobs. Some people on the forums have said it can take even 50 mobs. (If it takes you longer than that, I would assume you missed them as loot somewhere.)

what helped for me, is to turn in a circle 3x, jump, tbag a dead argonian (maybe it works with alive one too, need some testings) and drink a bloody mara. than open the box within the next 3 seconds.

thx for this awesome event, where bad rng stacks on top of worse rng.

the problem, or the psychological trap is the time limit behind this. there really shouldnt be that low drop rates on time limited things. we are all used to s$&% rng like msa, bsw or motifs. but at least we can return there and do it again as often as we want, can or need.
not on time limited things. they are gone, maybe not even tradeable which makes it so bad. (i bet devs doing a nightshift in changing this so tomorrow someone can say "only the first collectible is bound, all other can betraded" or "no fragment drops twice, you always get an unknown"). but i will not spend any crowns for this as it is too obviuosly.

events should be fun, not a 24/7 grind. there is enough grind in the game already, and you can extend that as well if you get the feeling the player need even more. but not on time limited events pls.

sometimes i get the feeling, the makers cant deceide if they want to offer a casual friendly mmo or a hardcore mmo.
its not working both in once. maybe a mixture of it works, but you push that ALWAYS over the top or below the line. its either we get 100 motif pages in the first day, or we get a fragment of it once a year.
but remember, the casuals with work bring the money... (not the 24/7 hardcore grinder). the ones you mainly *** off just right now...

I know ZOS's intention was to make you spend some "quality time" in dungmire, rather than going in, doing one thing, escaping to somewhere that doesn't suck and stink, but it screws over anyone who's got a limited time to get in and play, as well.

Kindly go back to "first boss you kill always drops" for events, this is just annoying.

The problem is a lot of people are doing the event wrong. I saw a player the other day just running thru a dungeon, attacking things just to get them away from him but then other people were killing the mobs he ran from. The issue with that is I almost guarantee that dude missed his tickets/box that day because the tickets and box drops from ANYTHING in the zone. Also since day one we have been spamming in zone that you shouldn't group until after you get tickets to guarantee you get them because someone in your group can kill something random you didn't know about and that dead mob will have your drops.

This event isn't that hard, I am in Murkmire for all of 2 minutes maybe and then I got some drops and I am done.

you are right about people doing wrong event so you can pretty much disregard the people saying they are not getting tickets after hours. They screwed up.

the real complaints are the stupidly low rate on extra boxes which makes it next to impossible to get all the rewards. you need 80 tickets to get all the rewards. Emote, pet and berry. The average person that is only going to get a one box a day and if, a big if they are lucky they will get 4 to 7 of the parts. So lets so you get 7. That means you still need 45 tickets and you can only get a max of 39.
so to get everything you pretty much have to give up part of your life to farm and the vast majority of the player base wont and will be bitter at Zos horrible decisions. Eventually, like many have already done in the past, people will leave because they are sick of how Zos shows time and time again how much they hate and disrespect the people that are actually responsible for them having a job.

Yeah, and it's sad because I know they really wanted those tickets but oh well.

But that second part, yeah I have always had an issue with that. It never really made sense to me to create such a huge grind. It would make more sense, even from a business stand point, to lessen the grind and make the drop rate fairly average so that gives people more of a chance to collect everything and they have fun while doing it. That will make people happy and the happiness will spread and more people will flock to the zone. That will, also, create more hype for future events and maybe even get people who are taking a break to log in and have some fun.

I am not going to get this Indrik, I think I have enough of those by now so I am aiming for the Voriplasm pet for this event. I am not going to farm, I did that in past events with the Worm motif, and just found it to be a huge waste of time. (I still only have 2 pages of that motif and simply don't care anymore) So instead of having fun and ZOS creating an environment where I get lost playing the game I usually just get my daily tickets and box, feed some horses and then log out. The only times I play more is if I need to get characters to Tier 3 in my pvp campaign, and even that doesn't take that long.

Yep, FAIL. Killed the WB (one of only two in this small zone) several times and got zero loot. And ZoS, please don’t tell us to just go somewhere else. Any and all of the events/entities you said would drop loot should, for everyone. Poorly designed as it was poorly planned and communicated. The zone is too small for an event like this. Where’s the next big event, Stros M’Kai? Remove the cap on loot!

Perhaps things will settle down after the first day but so far this is just a waste of time ...

You are confused. You kill WB to finish the daily quest. That has nothing to do with the event. The benefit from the event is when you turn in the quest.

Why is zone too small? There are plenty of trash mobs to kill for tickets. It sounds like you don't understand the event. Who cares if you get loot for WB. The event isn't about killing WBs.

Hey everyone, just a quick reminder that all monsters in the zone have a chance to drop Event Tickets. If the world bosses are too crowded, you might want to try a delve or another area of the map when killing creatures.

    Oh Arun, Arun, Arun ...

Looks like you didn’t read the Event details fully to know there are other ways to get the strong boxes and ticket rewards ...

Always. There is always one fan boy that sticks up for ZOS. Always one!

I wanted a drop from a world boss. I don't want to run around competing with other players for a chance to get a hit on a single enemy. I read it perfectly fine, thank you.

Always one fan boy. Please move along.

As an Systems, Server and Network Engineer, I can genuinely tell you this. You are the worst kind of person for feedback. I want to know what needs tweaking and fixing.

    Nope.

You’re trying to apply your experience at one world boss as a failure of the Event itself.

Be sure to brush up on your slippery slope fallacies before making another post.

Did it ever occur to you that I'm doing a quest and would like a reward.

    Slippery slope, lol.

Have at me, I won't be responding to you again.

The reward is 2x daily reward when you turn in the quest. It has nothing to do with WB drops. So turn in your daily quest and get the reward you would like.

The ironic thing is the cap on loot was introduced years ago because people were camping bosses for drops and preventing questers from being able to complete certain quests/delves that require you to kill the boss. The cap was put in place to discourage camping, but it doesn't do squat to combat camping when the same people are going to keep getting the drops because they're doing the most damage/healing (I'm fairly sure it's the top 12 dps/healers, though I've heard it's random too). It doesn't discourage anything when the people doing the most damage are still getting what they want and locking everyone else out of stuff. And in cases like this, where you have an event going on, it's even worse because though people aren't camping the bosses to get repeated drops, there's still so many people arriving for each boss spawn that there are inevitably going to be masses of people who ARE camping because they're waiting to get their own drops. The loot cap is one of the most bass-ackwards things ZOS has implemented in this game and really needs to be done away with, ESPECIALLY during events where killing bosses of any kind get you tickets/rewards.

deal more damage. only the top 12 Damagers get any loot from bosses, and they have to do at least 3% of the total damage.

I literally managed to do this on a tank (Troll King, Alessian, Orgnum), and I haven't missed a single day of tickets yet.
You just have to know what you're doing and be willing to wait now and again.
Shortly after the formation of the Ebonheart Pact, a Nord woman was given a tour of the Tribunal Temple. When later asked about the experience, she seemed upset. Suffice to say, the Dunmer were not pleased to hear this, and thus they inquired further.
"Well," the Nord frowned, "the priests were very angry and unwelcoming. They kept shouting things at me like "you can't drink that mead in here!" and "somebody stop her, she's running naked!" and "we can't catch her; she's covered in grease!""
