I got to messing around today with the Villa and was trying to figure out a way to squeeze out more space out of the building. So, I got this idea to add a second level to the undercroft. Here are some pics:

















I'm not sure what to do with the area yet or if I'll even keep it (due to the low furnishings limit), but it does open up possibilities. Believe it or not, the hardest part was the ramp. It's made from 6 Alinor Wall, Stone Long. Getting them to line up and the getting the ramp angle just right was a nightmare. Let me know what you think.

I just want to be able to get into that tower that's to the right as you zone into the villa. Unfortunately, I couldn't see any way to do so.

That is very cool! But how do you decorate that additional space? 700 slots aren't even enough for the standard room... (-.-)

Agreed. That's why I'm on the fence about keeping it. The Villa needs AT LEAST DOUBLE the current housing slots.

Interesting... may I use this as inspiration if I decide to build a 3rd floor in that room in my villa? (My 2nd floor is just a quick hop over the balcony and boom walking on a 2nd floor)

Also how many Alinor floors did you use? I have yet to find those blueprints or see them for sale at a price that isn’t a complete rip off and would like to know how big they are compared to the big wooden planks (what I’ve currently been using to build my extra floors)

Looking at the pics on the site I can still only estimate size but looks like it should be big enough for me to replace my existing flooring once I find the blueprints. And maybe build a variation of this third floor

Thanks! If I had enough housing slots available, I think this area would be great for:

• armory
• training arena
• dueling arena
• crafting area

To name just a few.

Thanks for the likes everyone. Since my original post I've widened the ramp a bit so it fits between the posts up top perfectly. My next goal is to make hand rails for the ramp, but I've yet to find any suitable housing materials that will work (and fit with the Alinor theme). Suggestions welcome.

Great idea!

You would lose the center entrance, but how about moving that to a corner, so you can place the big Alinor stairway next to a wall? Because everything you did looks so seamless, however, the ramp that leads to your new floor is odd being so flat.

I originally tried crafting stairs but it used too many housing slots so I went with a ramp instead. If I can figure out how to make hand rails for it, it will look more natural.

I also tried the Alinor stairs, but to make that work you will need two sets to get up there. Unfortunately, it leaves a weird space between the two that would need to be back-filled somehow.

You could use the EHT FX effects to create a handrail - no items needed for that! Though people can walk right through them and fall (no collision).

I used a mix of actual decors and EHT FX effects to create the handrail in the picture below.The gold railing is an item to keep people from falling off of the narrow stairs, but the black bars holding up the railing are EHT FX effects that cost no decor slots.
