antoniotf5✭✭✭i'm pretty sure using just cheat engine alone won't get you anywhere, the program itself can't modify server-side variables so you technically can't cheat only with that. You can use it to modify what you see on your screen though.0 -

They should do a video demonstrating their anti cheat program. Show us how it works and how it can detect cheats. No need to tell is the name of the program etc.
Just a video of a dev or class rep using CE and show us how it alerts Zos. Simple thing to do to dispell all thoughts of CE or other cheats being used.

✭I have seen that guy from the WW CE video myself and he definitely wasn't using Shadow Image. It was the first (and only) time i would actually suspect someone of cheating (and not "just" exploiting some bugs). He was porting and flying arround all the time, not only to get into structures, but also open field (he was still easy to kill ...) and his movement was too smooth for being just "lag". It was very obvious that something fishy is going on with that player. He was active on PC/EU/Sotha a few weeks ago on 2 days, haven't seen or heared about him since then.Edited by Rianai on September 12, 2018 9:58AM4 -

What they can do is check the names in the members forums, not the official forum, of said software. after leaping on em getting em low I couldn't use any ability on my bar other than wings. could light attack though and after dodge rolling was able to use an ability before losing the ability to do so again and thus had to dodge roll again.
person just stood there being light attacked and fossilized after i'd dodge roll...couldn't get any other attacks off other than another leap. his health never went down then the group he was with came and killed me after circling around me watching me try and do any kind of damage to this guy.
Cheating does exist just like before.

That's why we need videos to get different perspectives from different players. So, we can say, "yes that is a hack or no that's just misunderstanding a mechanic or a glitch."
We can post all day of what we saw, but if we all see it then we get a better perspective of what went down.

This is the sad part of the game that we just can’t tell. The devs dropping the ball on server performance on a AAA game and causing this paranoia is just pathetic. This is almost at the level of star war galaxies fail level. If you don’t know, 200,000 people dropped their subs in a 24hr period over some stupid decisions made by their devs. Too bad we don’t have 200,000 people that play PvP anymore.Veldrn-AD Magica Sorc

There is no legit way(without cheating) to get to the third floor.

I have my doubts about many console players as it is, let alone if they had easy access to the macros / CE / add on crap pc does.
Sure many people that cry cheat are wrong, and haven't seen the spec or ability people cam achieve. But then when you see the same players always doing odd stuff or taking advantage, the doubt is there.
I've seem the same team of 4 blinking invisible on two separate nights. I'm WELL aware it could be coincidence.....but.....
This was a year ago, but still shows that cheating happens on console.
This is PS4. You can clearly see this players health cannot go to zero, he's/she's dropping banners left and right, sometimes 4 at a time (and they have a high ultimate cost), doing no healing or any defensive measure....just dropping ultimates and spamming steel tornado. Also cannot be bashed.
You can see other members of his faction enter the tower and get obliterated, there's so much damage going on. But somehow, this person cannot be killed.

Cheating happens on console too.
Edit: I agree cheating gets thrown around way too often, and isn't always the case. Because of that, I think it's far too easy to dismiss someone who's actually cheating.
There's a huge difference between getting beat by a good player, and someone like in the above video.

I run a very tanky build and when you get hit by:-
Snipe
Poison Injection
Incapacitating strike
Killer blade
and two other skills i cant remember.
All in 0.1 seconds - all from the same player there has to be something dodgy going on.
Actually first time i whispered the player to tell them that was the best gank i ever saw - was complimenting cos i thought it was a skill based kill - got blocked straight away.
It wasn't until someone explained the cool downs and that it shouldn't be possible to do that that i thought it was wrong tbh.
And they killed me the same way 5 mins later, so not likely random lag.3 -

I was once totally certain it was CE when I saw a guy totally immune to damage. He wasn't taking reduced damage or 0 damage or displaying miss or dodge. He was just not taking damage.
After I talked to him it became clear he had no idea what was going on and it was obviously a bug. Of course it didn't stop him from running multiple siege ;p0 -

✭✭✭✭Had players tonight literally disappearing. (Ps4) Right in front of everyone. I would use crit rush and as soon as I get close....gone. Pretty sure wasn't a nightblade either, but it is late and I could be mistaken.
I do have a video of it, but posting will have to wait as its midnight my time and I need sleep...
This is easily duplicated, take your console off hard line and clog your bandwidth streaming videos or music. You’ll lag slightly but that’s what causes the constant disappearing.

✭There are multiple factors that could contribute to a confusing death, but most common right now:
- if you were fighting a nightblade realize they can stack up speed and defensive stuff and still hit hard given their passives.
- sorcs can use overload in stealth and hit you 2 to 3 times before you realize it.

All I can say is that if you try to melee certain players on PC NA you will find you can't. They are meleeing you, your ability won't fire. Explain away, had an obvious one last night... totally could not melee the guy. Fortunately I'm used to the games being played and run melee abilities and ranged abilities. It's obviously a positional hack.
The one thing the OP got wrong is that there isn't an upswing in usage, it's been in use for years now. Maybe some new players picked it up and haven't realized what they can get away with and what they can't. They will be weeded out by attrition, just like the WW video guy will be. For every one of them, there is one that realizes you can't make it obvious... you need to do things that can be explained away.2 -

The worst part of it all is they have been playing like this for years...
10 DC guys take over the entire map all scrolls in no time against 100+ EP & ADs. Most important thing is they never die. Skills bars goes blank. Game lag like ***. NBs teleport even without shadow image when everyone is chasing in close range and then pop up in same location again without even a shadow there. NB is very convienent for position and invisible hacking. No NB can cloak in such very close range without even having animation and all throwing the detection and AOE skills.
When 50+ EP & 50+ AD are fighting, I never saw lag except few instances. Both AD & EP uses exploitative builds , but game doesnt lag much and your attack or CC goes through. There will be many back & forth.
When these DC guys come, entire map is theirs. Stream roll entire map beating all top players & former emperors of AD & EP at the ratio of 1:10 on open fields.Edited by Priyasekarssk on September 12, 2018 5:49PM2 -

Witar✭✭✭✭✭There's a lot of completely unkillable builds with decent to good damage lately. Doubt they all cheaters and exploiters but makes you think. Definitely something going on (either with game that allows it or otherwise) when 15-20 people can't kill 2 dks with them being able to kill most of the attackers while facetanking all of the damage. Talking about vivec pc here.It cannot be seen, cannot be felt,

It wasn't I couldn't melee him one time. It was I couldn't melee him for an extended period of time. Eventually poison injection ticking on him whittled him down to execute range and it's reapplication with double damage poison on him ended him. I was ambushing and light attack surprise attack->dodge roll and couldn't land a single attack that was melee. Sure you can chalk it up as something else, I'm sure he will sing your praises for doing so.. but, it becomes quite suspicious after a time.
You missed out on those asteriked out names and the fun that was. The best part is they used to post on these forums dropping ZOS names saying that they had perused their build and it was intelligent design and build. That was until they were gone for good... unfortunately that took over a year and they were nightly in the game and it was nearly impossible to kill them (that's with a whole group attacking them).
Just because I'm paranoid doesn't rule out the chance they are out to get me.6
