I understand you are just doing your job, but the lack of a meaningful response by Zenimax on this topic (and others) is a major contibuting factor as to the toxicity in this thread.

Ohh, so the only actual statement we've had on the topic that doesn't support your point of view is worth nothing, but your assumptions are some kind of a "unambiguous indicator"? Gotcha.

It doesn't contradict my point of view.

Want me to teach you reading comprehension?
    DDuke wrote: »
So you didn't even report what most likely was an oversight/failed fix because you didn't want it gone? Speaks volumes of your character.

...and then you wonder why they stay silent when no one reports it *facepalm*

It wasn't. I assumed it wasn't and considering where we are now i was correct.

It does speak quite a bit of integrity about my character. You will like it when you learn what it is.

Do you know how long it took ZOS to fix Sharpened Maces, or even respond to that exploit? Around half a year.

    Teleporting into keeps? Even longer.

They didn't fix all cases of telephoning into keeps.
    DDuke wrote: »
    Silence=/=consent.

Since it's the best that we have, we have to assume that silence == consent and a fix after a year was a change of design approach.
    DDuke wrote: »
That's why margin of error exists

337 votes gets you margin of error around 5,3%, meaning 75-85% of people want the API changed.

    Ouch.

337 people out of a biased sample.

You need to make sure your sample is representative, before blindly evaluating the results.

I'm telling you, try to educate yourself before making statements.

Wait, you talk about "effectively playing bow build" and then proceed to claim how it should Xv1 & Zerg v Zerg with a hard hitting spammable that everyone and their mothers dodge 99% of time because of your addon?

They don't, you're wrong and should be ashamed.
    DDuke wrote: »
Is that your idea of "effective"?

On the contrary, this is your idea of effective and it 'speaks volumes' about your pvp skill level.
    DDuke wrote: »
Actually I pretty much pioneered that playstyle back in 2014, as you can see on my youtube channel.

I've watched a couple of vidoes from your pvp channel. Giving low-to-average level of pvp skills there i'm not even sure what point it's supposed to support.

If it was nerfed by the nerf of crit damage from stealth, what do you need your cheats for?

I'm not sure why do you project your need for cheats on me.

You benefits from simple notifications from my addon much more than me. If anything you should be thanking me in PMs by now.

Sure, by enhancing the UI (nothing wrong with that). Not by providing the equivalents of FPS wallhacks due to an oversight in the game's API.

Since the subject has nothing to do with both oversights and wallhacks this sentence of yours keeps demonstrating lack of proper knowledge on your end. And i don't find amusing when people keep embarrassing themselves in public.

Funny, all of the console people who have commented here have expressed their thankfulness that addons aren't available there - all due to your addon.

Ignorance can't be a basis for a valid opinion. Even in your case it keeps failing.

So because they dont like your add on, and are happy there is a level playing field, they are ignorant now? Me thinks you are confused.

If they spent 1 minute in cyro, any campaign, any server, and asked about the add on, it would be very clear what people think, but I guess that is asking too much. Hell, they could start an official poll, send emails to everyone on pc, and ask if they want this add on limited, and they would get a clear answer very quickly. Guess that is asking too much though.

    It is a cheat 100%.

It's ridiculously idiotic game design that the guy is/was taking advantage of because he was too lazy to l2p like the rest of us.

You can never expect from players to not go for any advantage that they can, I've seen it countless of times with many different players over the years.

From exploiting 3+ mundus stones, to running toggle skills on overload bar, to wearing the most OP gear and combos that exist (even bugged ones like savior's hide sometime ago), to exploiting VMA and making public guides on how to do it, to blatantly running cheat engine for so long without anyone knowing before the NA dudes started publicizing it, to whatever else was going on, all this time.

So this doesn't surprise me at all. Just another BS thing we need to deal with...

I, personally, will never install crap like this and can not respect any PVP'er who's using it. Things like this make me want to play on consoles sometimes.

Many people who use it don't properly understand what it does and why.

And since the addon got a quite noticeable stigma at its original state, most of the people who comment on it just follow that stigma without making their own opinion. Just like @LegendaryMage above your comment.

Wish I could say the same, but the addon provides too much of a competitive advantage not to use as it stands.

I also used Sharpened Mace, Double Mundus etc back in the days.

Reported them, posted on the forums about them, made bug videos etc but then eventually started using them just like everyone else who likes winning :(

Never, ever did I defend those things though.

Yes, he did. And he clearly takes pride in ruining ranged and stealth players enjoyability. If he did it in favor of all players, why not make activation queues for all abilities. Answer, it isn't in the best interest of all players.

It is the only public one. There are also private ones that activate auto block / roll, and auto light attack weaves. And ZoS does nothing about those either. People are slowly understanding that the api allows for really questionable things, and are exploiting it to the maximum extent. And ZoS just sits back and collects the money.

Wow, I thought one of the dev's really lurked inside and dropped a comment on an issue... Constructive and polite? Are you for real?

Hello guys, lets discuss constructively the issue, let's look at the pros and cons:

    Pros:
    - Miats users have huge advantage over those who don't use it.
    - Noobs trying to gank Miats users will always fail (they are clueless that such thing can exist and their gank detected seconds before it actually happens)
    - It's really fun to wreck that smarta$$ who thinks that he's got advantage on you hiding out there and starting the fight first. You are the first to start the fight with cc immunity after the dodge ahaha, don't forget the teabag part.
    - You don't have to look around turning like a radar. Relax. Add-on will inform you if anyone is aiming to cast at you 360 degrees around.

    Cons:
    - Add-on has to be improved to make auto roll-dodge when somebody tries to gank
    - Has to auto cast burst attack after roll-dodge.

I hope you find this constructive enough. This is my opinion, please respect it.

Btw, no addon is capable of auto-blocking, auto-sprinting, auto-attacking and generally any auto-combat action.

Heaven forbid they come in and make a statement. Honestly, at this point regardless of what they say, this is causing ZoS to get a really bad rep.

Weekend already, no more official responses until next week I think.

So because they dont like your add on, and are happy there is a level playing field, they are ignorant now? Me thinks you are confused.

Since they play on console, the vast majority of them never tried to play with it. Thus it's quite safe to assume they are ignorant on the topic.

There is this thing called the internet, which we are currently using, to research this kind of stuff. Pretty sure a lot of them have after hearing about it, and they made an informed reply. But hey, what do I know, I only think about myself. : insert sarcasm :

They did hear about it. That doesn't make their opinion informed.

Many people who use it don't properly understand what it does and why.

And since the addon got a quite noticeable stigma at its original state, most of the people who comment on it just follow that stigma without making their own opinion. Just like @LegendaryMage above your comment.

I wonder why there was such a stigma. Seriously. I...can't, just, lol.

    This is pointless.

You will say " Oh it benefits everyone and anyone that disagrees is selfish, igorant and wrong"

Most people will and do disagree.

    Repeat.

Because its original iteration was much more gamechanging than the current one. People are conservative and frankly got scared.

    This is pointless.

You will say " Oh it benefits everyone and anyone that disagrees is selfish, igorant and wrong"

Most people will and do disagree.

    Repeat.

    Again, like clockwork.

It benefits those you enjoy it benefits.

People disagree that it benefits them when they use it?

Btw, no addon is capable of auto-blocking, auto-sprinting, auto-attacking and generally any auto-combat action.

Why not ? We see bots auto attack all the time .

So that's why you're defending it so much.

I'm 'defending it' because it's awesome. I developed it, because it'd be awesome to have. I released it, so some other people would feel awesome to have it.

    I don't do and don't defend stuff that i don't find awesome.
Instead of using your coding skills to code something that can actually help (in a good way) other players, you make this crap? Seriously?

I did. Check my esoui profile. Anything there falls into your requirement.
Do I have any PVP skill? What does it matter if I have any PVP skill or not, I saw your work and know what it does. I have enough experience (and common sense) to understand how idiotic it is. What is ignorant about my opinion?

Since you call it idiotic and generally started with throwing around profanities, i can only assume you both don't understand what the addon does and you don't understand how pvp works. Thus my question.
Also tell me, why would you need this if you're any good in PVP?

Because it's awesome. I like the information to be presented in a convenient way.

I'm not sure how can you need any addon at all?

I can play pvp without UI. I don't like it, but i'm more than capable to do that. Why would i not play with something awesome instead, though?
