Totally agree, but it seems like all sides are doing that. Qam and I log in and find a decent size group to fight, we end up beating them once and they vanish. Hell, the other night we logged on as DC were sieging the last keep they needed to crown emp, 4 of us yolo'd into roe as they were on the flags with 10ish people, we wiped them and never saw them again.


Sadly, due to a family member being in hospital I'll miss most of the excitement of the weekend overflow from Vivec.

Eeeek hope the everything works out well with the family member... (RL) is 100 time more important then any game...

Ah ok so after i logged. They probably felt ad was the only chance they had and Sage is just trying to stay on the top of the leaderboards so hes going to go to cross swords.

with that being said, we're all going in circles. I know i have stated multiple times in multiple threads that the decision to make Shor CP was a mistake. it was a mistake because at least with Almalexia, everyone there was there because they wanted to be. Making Shor CP only reinforced and encouraged de-investment as it almost definitively labelled the campaign as an absolute overflow for the "real" campaign: Vivec.

The fact that you said that, and my screen shot of DC zone telling me no one should care because this is a farming server, compounded with the fact that AD pushed DC all the way to the gates while EP crowned Emperor, and now AD is taking their turn at the inner ring as we speak paints a pretty clear picture as to what this server was destined to be.

If you really want a map-focused campaign, Vivec is that way. ----> Shor may or may not ever be that. And since you refuse to roll an alt, your options are queuing for Laggy Vivec, joining the DC gate camping in Sotha Sil, or the odd grab-bag that is Shor right now. Pick your poison.

I've had more fun in the 3 days or so I've been in Shor this week than all of the last month I spent in Vivec.

Meanwhile just chill a few days and see what happens after Vivec ends.

I concede. the server is not dead as the hordes of players seeking overflow flock the server periodically.

but i maintain the server is dead in the sense that these hordes of overflow players do not complement each other which results in uncontested zerging. no one faction can oppose the other.

its killing the server but considering it was dead on arrival, we're just beating a dead horse.

i am holding out to see how next week goes. will be logging in soon.

Under the reign of our Magicka Dragonknight Empress @Montayva, our 5 man crew merged forces with DEADWAIT @Durham and we defended with our combined 12 man group, we halted the steam-roll push of the prime-time EP PvDoor Emp cap raid(32+) and ultimately pushed them back after recapping BRK.


It was an intense fight but alas, we held through and turned the tide to our favor....And then the EP trade-zerg all logged off once they realized they couldn't just mindlessly steam-roll like they always do.

I just logged. wasnt able to push too much tonight. really hard to siege keeps with 3 people in your group and they have 4 + guards. then a pair of AD kept coming in behind us to gank. getting sandwiched like that really made every encounter draining.

But i gauge success like this: the map was more blue when we left it than when we came in.

That makes twice today when that same EP zerg logged off because they couldn't face a fight. The AD pugs that dethroned the EP pvdoor emp this morning were fairly awesome. There have been shorter emp reigns, but that one was a contender.

Still shaking my head that EP decided they'd rather try for a second DC scroll tonight than have their home keeps.

Well at this point, DC is kind of out of the equation. sorry for all the drama. Was just hoping for more. maybe i am an idealist but im willing to push on in Shor for another week. really crossing fingers for some solid contenders, even if its only EP and AD facing off.

I was expecting more overflow from vivec to come to shor this weekend . Most of them stayed in their 180 PLUS que on vivec waiting. i couldnt figure out why until i realized something. Alot of these guys that sit in the 100 plus que's are zerg surfing potato's waiting to log in to vivec to Zerg surf near a zerg guild because thats pvp to them.think about it, have you ever seen a dracys, invictus, or PM zerg? for every one guy in their guild you see atleast 3-4 zerg surfing. this a problem we will have to plan around, 3/4 of the total pvp pop is a bunch of zerg surfers. i cant tell you how many times i heard some loser start his favorite 1vX story with "One time i was surfing Haxus while i was solo and.........." /barf on todays PvP community.

many people start ESO pvp that way. The game was advertised as large scale battles. so they surf until they are exposed to something different.

6-10 players is the sweet spot. most veteran players gravitate towards that eventually. Personally, I dont mind running up to 16 - anymore than that and i lose steam quick as a raid lead.

Im exploring some options to try and get more in Requiem groups. held a boot camp on saturday and i think it helped. but a lot of what makes a good pvper is initiative.

Whenever I get a new build, i duel until i learn the build. i get my ass kicked over and over until i feel like im in a good spot. Ive taken a lot of the thinking out of my build and its very instinctual. you get that muscle memory through high stakes practice. you have to be under pressure because thats what makes or breaks in ESO. and a lot of people just arent willing to put in the work.

I agree 8-10 is a sweet spot for game play... when you get over 10 people in chat it's pretty annoying...

Right now I think EP is the largest faction gamewide.. Blue is the smallest... Blue has a hard time locking on the main server... Yellow is inbetween... So right now you see some overflow from red going to a medium. Population for most of the time on primetime... Yellow hits medium for 30 mins or so ... Blue stays low...

Vevic Q is a horrible experience if you crash or go into a perm load screen.. and you are Kicked out of the Q .. I think these people just log lol.. However Vevic gives much more security because of numbers (zerg surfing).. Also a ton of players really enjoy the point system of the campaigns... Our campaign is not really best place to play points atm compared to the extremely close vevic...

If EP is the largest faction , they dont spread it out. EP may be the Big guy on Vivec and (when they man up after a failed emp push) on Shor. But on Sotha sil ep is definately the little guy. There are only 2 known ep guilds there and all the others are fresh Pugs who out leveled black water blade.
