Stop spreading misinformation, that's not been proven to be the case.more players have to quit the game and this will all be fixed ^^
the game simply cant handle the current sums
If anything the comment theme coming out right now is it's actually routing issues in regards to some ISP's.
They are fixing the lag issues every patch a little bit, thats what they are saying since 2014. That's why you will never notice a huge change at once, but the performance is getting better and better imperceptible to our 6 senses.

"Reaching out to ISPs"....seriously, not all of us are dumb and believe everything ZO$ tells us.
This just happened about 20 minutes ago on PS4 NA.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXqti1kxqyk
Literally one second we are all fighting in Cyrodiil and then next minute I just notice people are frozen on the screen, and my whole group just disconnects. Not sure why I am unaffected but I could tell I was on the verge of crashing too.
What on earth is going with ESO's servers lately??????????????????
When is this going to be fixed...
Here we go again with the usual suspects defending ZO$ and their blaming it on players and ISPs.
This has been going on for years. It is ZO$ at fault. It has always been ZO$ at fault. And it always will be until they allocate the resources to fix their unfit for purpose servers. Which will never happen as that will cost $$$.
You do not get this in any other online games or MMOs. or if you do it is rare, and fixed swiftly.

I do wish that ZOS would just come out and admit that their servers suck and can't handle the playerload, I mean it has been an issue since One Tamriel came out, and I feel like with the amount of money they make from the Crown Store they could invest in some more servers. Trials have recently also been incredibly frustrating when everyone has constant pingspikes and crashes. At some point they have to focus on making the game better and forfeit a bit of their profit to make it happen, lest it reaches a point where the game becomes entirely unplayable.
That's a great idea . They should totally make an announcement and just admit failure .[/sarcasm]

Do you have any sort of clue how this sort of stuff works? Just add more servers! Lol
Any clue who is actually hosting the game? Any clue what kind of hardware it's on?
Once they get "more servers" what do they do with them?
Or are you just letting your posterior do your talking?

Well, yeah, I get your point, but ZOS is all about transparency, at least if you ask them, so I wish they'd at least be open about the issues, like they have been about the problems involving Cyrodiil. You can feign ignorance as long as you like, but at some point people are going to be bothered by it. At first, when the problems started occuring immediately after One Tamriel, everybody was blaming it on these phantom ddos'ers, but you don't really see that anymore, because people have begun to realise that no one is dedicated enough to keep something like that up for over six months every single weekend at random times. It's a ddos, yeah, totally! *Sarcasm*

Obviously I'm not an expert on it, but the people who do know what they are talking about have said that it has to do with the way their server infrastructure is set up. Fact of the matter is that their servers are the crux of the problem, and that they should at least appear to be concerned about the issue and try to fix it. I don't know about you, but game performance has been steadily declining on the PC NA megaserver, and there are weeks where some trials are completely unplayable due to crashing and so forth.
I get the comment that you made, and it's a good point to make, but I also feel like it's completely pointless for this conversation. It's very easy being a smart-ass, but it doesn't actually contribute anything to the debate, which I'm thinking the OP is probably interested in having about this whole ordeal.
The reason why I made the comment about them needing more servers, is because back at launch when they had approx 2-3 million people play during open beta and actual game launch, there weren't any serverload issues, because they invested in renting a lot of servers, so that they would avoid a very common problem with MMO launches, which is lack of servers to handle the playerload. Considering that all the server issues right now are associated with servers not being able to handle the mass of people playing all at once, one might draw the easy conclusion that they don't have enough servers, or that they f**ked their servers up somehow.

I'm still getting ridiculous lag at 7pm AEST over a week after they announced they addressed what the issue was regarding routing and what not.
Clearly the most fundamental aspect of the game which is playability isn't a big deal for them.
