Combat Prayer heals more, applies Protection and Damage Buffs, costs less and is AoE. The other Morph heals even more.
I don't get the point of the change of BoL.
Finally as a healer I can choose to not heal that idiot running around in the back of the room.
This change will promote teamwork and listening to calls of "Stand in front of the healer!". The fact that Templars had no choice in whom BoL targets promoted toxic playstyle where the worst players in the group could "steal" heals from the tank and other actually contributing players.
I can already see this exchange after the morrowind patch:
-Featuring 2 players!
An ugly Argonian archer called NOT-UNDERSTANDING-BASICS (NUB)
&
A modest Dunmer master race Templar Yet Another Amazing Healer (YAAH)
NUB: "OMG WHY NO HEALS!?! NOOB HEALER!"
YAAH: "?"
NUB: "I SPAM MY BOW, WHY YOU NO HEAL ME"
YAAH: "?"
NUB: "I DIED CUZ YOU SO BAD"
YAAH: "You know BoL got nerfed and I can't you back there, huh? *loud whisper* Get rekt. "*Healer does the troll face emote that will be added into the game specifically for this situation*
*NUB ragequits the group"
Ah, live after Morrowind will be so beautiful.
Amazing how so?
Templars have an entire skill tree dedicated to healing and they are now the worst healers in the game.
Think about it, an entire skill tree that other classes passives can outperform.
Its not even like our so so dps got a buff.

The only problem I see with this is how the game determines "in front of me" given the fact that characters don't turn to match the camera view reliably. I had tons of trouble with this during the Festival flower crown achievement because my character was not facing just right. It was hard to line up properly unless I "ran around the block" and "lined up my approach correctly." Of course, with 180 degrees, that might not be an issue.
