Would you like a "normal" skin to hide vampirism?

NPC's should really react to your states such as WW and Vamp, they should also sometimes note your class in aproriate places.

Especially in quests, it would make the alt play much more interesting because the game really lacks replayability.

I find all this appearance chatter to be quite amusing: There is so much vampyre lore out there: with vamps have all sorts of appearances. I'm pretty sure that Lestat doesn't look remotely like a Stage 4 vamp... ;))) And Selene looks pretty damned human as well - and smokin' hot as well.

There's zero reason that a vamp can't look "human". Under the pretence of ES lore, there would be a spell, a potion, etc woven in that would have that effect. I personally have thought about losing my vampyrism cuz it's really hard to look at my (used to be) pretty Altmer with those eyes and skin... Where's a good dermatologist when you need one?!

And to be clear, traditionally vampyres don't decay, they are UnDead - zombies decay as they are dead and just reanimated. So the tattoo issue shouldn't be an "issue" - however, it would be nice if ZOS could offer some armour options like the RoM set, Amber Plasma, across the board that would make tattoos more visibly available.

Like the *** quest when you needed to get vampire blood. I was all,'"I'm a vampire" and they all "lets go over here" and I'm "I'm a vampire"... needless to say they never figured it out even though I look like 5 day old dog *** with eye liner on...

I find it weird that, that wasn't added. I mean my Dark Brotherhood status is used in other quests outside of the Dark Brotherhood content. But the fact that I'm a master vampire doesn't count for anything in any vampire quests, not that there is a lot though.

ZOS is getting better at this kind of thing, though. DLC quests take the specificities of your character into account more often. Like the vampire hunter near Anvil and having an entire (optional) extra quest step in Orsinium for the Shatul clan if your character is a male Orc.

Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.

Doesn't it bother you that the NPCs in the game completely ignore it?

I thought NPC's don't ignore you, I remember in Reapers march a Khajiit said *your face looks like curdled milk* and other Npcs say you look horrible stay away from me! so they notice that you are sick, or you don't look normal.

They can say that regardless of if your character is a vampire or not. The "you look horrible" one I never heard, not on my vampire, not on any other character I have. The curdled milk one is actually "Your face looks like it could curdle milk", meaning "you are pretty ugly" not "you are pale as death".

There is one - one! - character in the game that notices, that being the vampire hunter you can meet near Anvil. But the first time you meet him, in Greenshade, he doesn't say anything either.

Not even Verandis notices. He still says "this drop of my blood won't make you a vampire, don't worry" even if you already are one, too.

Strange, because before I was a vampire I swear no one commented on how I looked.

Then again this was right at the beginning of the game, things may have changed ;)

Haha, no, they don't react appropriately at all.

When I walk up to a vampire hunter NPC and I'm frothing at mouth wanting to drink their blood, and they're like: "We've found a nest of those despicable vampires and we're gunna kill 'em! Watch my back friend!"

I would say that's just dumb. It's poorly written. That doesn't just go for vampire hunter NPCs though.

ALL NPCs should react. I mean, how would you react if you saw one of TES's vampires in real life? I doubt you'd be like "oh maybe they just have a skin condition".

I don't get the problem you're a vampire so you look like a vampire.

Its the same as asking, to look like a human when in werewolf mode.

    There are several problems.

    1. The game world, the NPCs don't react to it at all. It makes the character look like a monster but the game doesn't treat you like a monster, so it is immersion breaking.

    2. It just looks ugly. It serves no other purpose in terms of gameplay because the game doesn't make the vampire appearance important.

    3. People spend a lot of time customizing their character's appearance and the game doesn't do anything to justify overriding your appearance in terms of gameplay. Which goes back to points 1 and 2.

It's not really the same as the werewolf skill line either. Unless you're shape-shifted, your character looks normal. So, NPCs have no reason to treat you different and therefore there's no reason to expect them to react to your lycanthropy.

What do you not understand about the idea of being able to hide it? That is optional, if you wanna still look like a vampire that is fine, nobody wants to take that away...

Which is why I am all for it.

If what was being asked was to take it away, I would be 100% against it, because I actually like the way my vampire looks and I think that being permanently on stage 4 (sometimes 3 if she accidentally feeds instead of using the Blade of Woe) fits her. Beatrice is extremely narcissistic, so I think it is interesting for someone like her to look like this:

Personally? No. I like how my character looks with vampirism. And I am absolutely happy with the duration rework they did no the stages.

The whole part about wishing to hide it being likely a RP reason, I as roleplayer myself usually find in EP the mutual concept of vampires generally being 'hidden' unless they do something overly stupid and/or OBVIOUS to reveal themselves. Reason for this being the population in EP being dunmer to a majority rendering the more classical take on vampirism next to impossible to find roleplay anywhere as most dunmer react a little... dramatic regarding vampirism and undead.

And for those who do not like that, Albinos are not limited to our reality. There's that.

Not outright against an option for a skin like that though. I think options are wonderful and those who'd like should definitely get them.

It's neither hurting me, my RP or my other gameplay experiences in ESO.

I voted No because I personally do not want or need for myself. The don't care vote would be kinda false though as I actually do care but with above mentioned notion.

    Cheers.

Don't see what the issue would be. After all, the werewolf curse doesn't impact on visuals whatsoever unless you transform. To be fair to ESO, it's just following in the footsteps of previous TES games that have had awful vampire meshes. Nowhere near as awful as the updated vampire models in Skyrim, though.
