not that storage is a main must-feature, but apart from "the nice feeling to have a house in ESO", it is the only reason why would someone want to buy a house!!!

@ZOS_RichLambert
At this point I am stuck. I seriously relied on ZOS to deliver. There was not a doubt in my mind that Player Housing essentially equalled tons of storage.
Never once did I doubt ZOS here.
Looks like that was my issue.... I relied on ZOS to deliver to us the most basic feature of a house - the ability to actually interact with our furniture. Now I let my organization amongst pack mules get sloppy.
With six full pack mule characters, two main characters with 1-20 inventory space split between them, a full bank, and 100+ items in the mail I'm holding onto via Return To Sender, I simply have nowhere to turn. Housing was supposed to arrive, and I was supposed to spend all of my gold on it and organize everything+have lots of fun with an awesome house. Probably the worst moment ever in ESO for me
Since the release of ESO on PS4, I have long awaited player housing.
It has been my favorite feature in every Elder Scrolls game since Morrowind, and the single thing I have always invested most of my time into when I play these games. The ability to store what I found in my travels and have a place feel like "home" was incredible. Having been promised player housing by ZOS, I decided to play ESO the same way I've played other TES games.
Currently I have 655 Champion Points, and have completed everything there is to complete with the exception of vMoL HM. I have two main characters - A Magicka Sorc DPS and a Hybrid Sorc Tank. The rest are almost strictly pack mule characters.
My massive array of stored items lays out as follows:
- All Maelstrom Sets (armor & jewelry), BiS traits
- All Rewards of the Worthy Sets (armor, jewelry, many weapons), BiS traits
- All Shadows of the Hist Sets (armor, jewelry, many weapons), BiS traits
- All Monster sets, nearly all BiS traits
- All Maelstrom/Master Weapons, nearly all BiS traits
- TONS and TONS of other sets from dungeons/open world, BiS traits
- Hundreds of slots of materials since my Crafting Bag expired
- TONS of unique items, many of which can no longer drop
- Many of trophies, purple treasures, etc
- 100+ extra Kothringi/Mazzatun styled items for future decon (to acquire style mats)
- Plenty of PvP-related stuff, and lots of miscellaneous things
- TONS of my own crafted items and sets that I use
Essentially it boils down to me have 0 space left on any of my pack mules, and maybe about 1-20 left on my Magicka Sorc, with a full bank. Organizing is practically impossible at this point due to a lot of stuff getting kind of messy and mixed on multiple characters. I managed to keep everything organized for a very long time, but have recently let it fall apart. I stopped caring because I heard player housing was coming out and my organization nightmare would finally be solved!
Of course..... that was until I read this....ZOS_RichLambert wrote: »Extra storage in your home is something we know a number of you would love. *sigh* ...... HOW did this happen!? Who thought this was a good idea? Never have I heard of a game where player housing did not allow storage. This is the very definition of missing the mark.
Will it arrive in the future? Well yes, just wait another 3-6 months after player housing comes out and you might be able to store some stuff. It's hard to believe that this quote is even real right now. A house with NO STORAGE.....
To ZOS: Please don't taint such a great system by failing to add in the most important component of it at release. It's like giving us a third tier of Master weapons with enchants that don't work, or a new trial that can be entered but nothing spawns and there is no loot. Housing can look as fancy as it wants, but why bother when all of the cabinets and chests are fake? I'm not paying 1,000,000 gold for an illustrious manor full of fake furniture only for you to "add in the feature" many months later. -_-
I'm a player who was seriously counting on Player Housing for storage, and is now in a terrible position. This can't just take another 3-6 months to add. It's way too important to Player Housing for you to just say it "didn't make the cut". Remove anything else.... just let us USE the house please. Add in additional storage before you release player housing, not awhile after. What's the point of my house if I can't put my own loot in it?
Thank you - that is all. I don't think I've ever been this bummed out over a new in-game feature before. Totally 100% dead to me now because the most basic feature was left out. Thank you for the hype while it lasted

Questions:
1) Are we at least getting weapon and armour display plaques/mannequins?
2) Are they giving housing bank access, or at least making that a feature you can "build" into your house?
Because I can understand why full storage would make subscriptions a little less appealing, but if we get both of the above it should be a good balance. Without the ability to display weapons and armour sets, they're missing a big part of what makes housing great in this series. And without banking access housing will be mostly ignored anyway, regarded as a one-time "huh, that's cool" feature, and players will still treat banks as their homes and the locations they log off from their alts.

Well if Storage was too difficult to include, I don't see how showing off your weapons/armor on mannequin could be easier. MaybeWe do not know yet.
Yeah, you'll have a person permanently living in your house who'll provide bank access.
Housing will be interesting at first but without Storage it has a shot at being a big, unnecessary gold sink that most people will glance at and ignore. I really hope that doesn't happen. Without storage, it's hard to predict.

I did warn you in another thread they would do this mate , thats why I couldn't get the excitement about housing and would of preferd more content.
Never mind they will probably add storage in the crown store soon. It's funny in a sad way for all who were really excited about this and expected zos to do it right....

You didn't predict something this crazy would happen. No one predicted it. Not a single person could've genuinely thought ZOS would give an Elder Scrolls game storage-less housing.
Do you people even read? ZOS said you will be able to display your own stuff like trophies from dungeons/trials and possibly more (They won't reveal everything, it's not even 2017 yet). Maybe we get a box to put stuff in, maybe we don't. Either way, people managed to survive with the inventory spaces that are available right now so there will be no future problems about it so dooooooooooooooon't run your mouths early, we don't know everything yet.
My suggestion to this would be that if ZOS didn't consider adding some way of inventory management inside households, we could get like a new NPC (with the functionalities of the banker, just not the banker itself...) and simply have a third section, amongst bank and guild store. Or just take it easy and go Skyrim style and put a storage box down.

I know what you mean, @Norbi. Things tend to turn out better than expected (except crown crates lol). Still I think ZOS is responsible for letting ill-will brew and fester by remaining silent. I think there's opportunity for them to give more honest, transparent and reasonable explanations rather than be vague or silent.

Yes you can display trophies. Like a petrified spider egg or moon pearls (probably). That has absolutely nothing to do with Storage.
Extra Storage is confirmed to not come with Player Housing. It may become an addition (undoubtedly heavily monterized) many months after release. The people that manage right now are people that decon nearly everything they get and have a crafting bag. Players like myself who actually hold on to some of the sets we get when we find BiS traits have storage issues. One Tamriel added a massive amount of new sets. That alone is a issue for storage.
Housing was logically suppossed to fix this. Apparently it wasn't logical enough.....

Personally, I'd be interested in seeing the post where it was confirmed to be a part of housing update. The OP was certain it would be included and feels let down that it wasn't. Where did ZOS confirm that it would be?
I am also a collector of many things, and yes... I can't hardly wait for storage space in houses.
But does am I irritated the way you are?
Not at all.
I always planned what I would save and store, and what I wouldn't. It requires intelligent inventory and bank management, not just mindless hoarding.
If you are relying on something to happen in the future, you just might become disappointed.
The way it is.

It was more of a logical assumption. It's a TES game, they're letting us have houses with chests and drawers etc.
Hopefully they'll at least bump bank storage up some more until they can get this working, and make bank assistants easy and affordable to attain for housing. That should help people wait for storage.
Storage is not a minor thing. The current inventory system is a huge headache. Zos you must be able to look at your game and see the hours people spend going between alts just to swap things in the bank.
Search these forums for 'inventory mini-game' to get a sense of how much fun the current lack of storage is.
