no storage sucks pretty much (hopefully they add it later)

but the other furniture, like chairs, beds, tables are supposed to be usable, right?

If I can't walk in the door, dump 27 troll skulls on the ground and kick them about then I have no interest in housing.

No but seriously, housing has almost no practical purpose. I purchased a medium house but now I feel ZERO reason to return to it.

    I am disappoint.

none of thw words you highlight from them imply storage of goods other than furnishings.

ZoS has been quite clear in forums and online discussions that storage would not be in the initial release
their primary goal and main focus was getting the housing systems in place.
Anything outside the scope of crafting, editing placing had to be something that met higher standards.

    Current storage is increasable by..
    1. free use of eight characters each starting at 60 slots plus a single shared bank
    2. Escalating gold spends in bank size
    3. escalating gold spends in backpack for each character
    4. linear but time locked gold spend on horses for each character
    5. linear and instant crown variations for all three of those if you want including four additions characters.

you may view storage as critical enough to have made that day one cut but with all those ways to up your storage alrready in place to a tune of 2640 potential slots on one account, its really hard to make that point stick that it needs to happen day one in housing as opposed to in march, april or may or even june.

the dps dummies and attunable stations (and once you have those the normal ones are "free to add to the code" more or less) likely made the cut because they were tied into the writ rewards and also were adding functions not already available in the game like storage is.

    It made sense to me.

and in a month or so when it is added, it wont be satisfactory to likely quite a few because ZoS will never add anything like "build a cheap crate that counts as 25 storage and counts as a single furnishing" as it will smash the other storage options into dust, mostly. Saw someone asking for one crate to hold 2500 items - seriously -craft one box and get as much as you get from all those inventory options combined?

i hope for better inventory not more inventory. i would build a craftable armor-rack/mannequin and "give it" 22 of my existing slots if it counted as a furnishing and let me setup gear swaps. Would be a godsend.

Granted its one of the bigest houses in the game but How is it that the ebonheart castle fully furnished is like 15000 crowns thats basicly 3 payments of 39.99 dollars which is the 39.99 for 5500 crowns so you need 3 of those atleast lol thats crazy

The option in which you listed for storage are the available option but its not the point your justifying the situation saying its ok you can just open another character that will give you 60 more items space they should have included crates for your house and no we arent asking for a crate with 2000+ storage space but maybe a storage that holds 100 or 200 items

And by the way yes i would like to play a game just like skyrim not a fake imitation and a poorly done simulator of what the real game should be like mmo or not lol. People come on lets get real if we sit here and fondle the games bolls and suck on its c.ck all day long then thats what there are going to give us bs. If we dont say "hey i dont like this particular system " " Hey i know you guys can do better " " Hey why do we still have treasure chests that arent instant for everyone " " hey why do all the missions feel so generic and i keep showing up to do quest and most fights are already over oh but fight 3 guys here and 2 over there lol " " Hey why are decent hourse and and essential things so expensive" eso makes those prices to make things inconvenience and to send you on there way to the crown store and spend money.

Lol good one and this is what i mean when i see people defend the game i have nothing agains the game what im against is the bad practices the devs and what companies do which intern make the gameplay terrible when they add in all these features and things and try to showcase it as being for the players and its really there just to please corporate mmos have always had banks World of warcraft, Guild wars 2 to name a few but this is the Elder scrolls serries and fans deserve much better and inovation they could have easily set a system where you can have all your things in crates in your home and they would still make loads of money in the crown store in cosmetics , mounts and other things dlcs as well. But when a company is greedy there is no leniency to there bs to them it would be a " miss opportunity " from a corporate stand point instead of pleasing there player base they just say f that we want more money oh you want that nice horse well 41,000 coins please or crowns please and thats with everything and this is why this game sucks becuase the company has made it so with there greed

Ok so the point is not should housing include storage EVER but should housing include storage FIRST RELASE? cuz thats all that has happened - it did not have storage day one first release. they have basically said it will be added. more functionality coming.

the plethora of other options and tons of storage available now basically doesn't justify never putting storage into housing but it sure makes a lot of sense to not make it a day one priority over other things that provide NEW function we dont have now.

i have no idea what " maybe a storage that holds 100 or 200 items" means in the context of housing. it makes no sense. Surely you are not suggesting we could build a "furnishing" that would hold 100 items, are you?

if so the a small house can hold how many of those crates? 100 (200 if ESO+)

So that is 10000 to 20000 slots if we build all crates and load a small house.
    Small houses run maybe 50k.
Sure the crafting would take some time and mats but... if you just chop off the top two bank upgrades gold costs and the top two character backpack upgrades (times number of characters) you got tons and tons of gold to buy mats or crafted "storage bins" and pay for the freakin' house.

How does that compare with the existing storage in game costs? Way out of whack.

if a crate holds just 10 slots - thats still 2000 slots can be filled into a small house for non-eso+. thats almost the max slots for maxed 12 character account now and for 50k and some crafting/buying time and that is PER HOUSE...

    The math deserves doing..

maybe you were referring to a "no not a crate you craft or buy but just some alt-storage" like a "personal bank in your house"?

well if so now you are adding a new storage type - is it linked with bank? is it linked with craft bag? does it vary by house size only? lotsa coding and design there, not just simple.

And if you are talking just a 100-200 slot additional storage total per house not per furnishing then what - we go from 2640 max to 2740 max and happiness rains over the kingdom?

I would rather they get housing storage additions right (help our existing slots do more for us for instance) than just go with simple "in the midnight hour she cried mo' slots mo' slots mo' mo' mo'" quick fix.

Slots ? Im talking about storage (1+1 =2 items brother ) im referring to storrage how would a storage that holds 100 items really mean 1000 or 10000 ?? If its a crate thats holds 100 its 100 itens thats it I dont know what your talking about let me brake it down to you in oranges and apples so you understand what im saying a character starts off with 60 storage space meaning 60 items not 6000 or 60000 so ok 60 items thats fine for about 5 to 6 quest then you need to go to the bank and deposited which there is a limit on the space there ok well you can buy extra carrying space and bank space each give you 10 storage spaces extra which holds you for a good 3 more missions then you have to buy more space do you understand where im going with this. Whether its crowns or coins its a hefty amount of money in the grand scheme of things and its really a scam having to buy crowns just for space and if its coins its even more expensive as after the third or fourth upgrade the prices for space upgrade is something like 10 or 20 thousand coins so what are people going to be doing they will hed to the crown store to spend more real money Ok ( point blank its expensive ) OK well you say you dont have to spend money just open a new character and its 12 characters per account i believe is that not right ok well 60 items per character as your space upgrades arent generated in each character that would be a bad corporate decision as theres more money to be made there well ok so we have 60 per character 60 x 12 ok thats 720 items we can store awesome in a game that im at level 22 right now and i have 9 characters already fully loaded with items so do the math on that..You will still end up spending in the crown store unless you want to use up all your coins from missions on storage as its extremely expensive and why do i need to open up characters just for storage do you really think thats a good system having to log out of a character go in to another character just to get an item really ? Its 2017 and yet we are discussing storage we should be pass this I understand its initial launch on homestead but the banking and inventory system in this game is terrible it should have been fixed along time ago this game has been out for quite some time now so stop throwing numbers up and defending the bs and the simple things right in front of your face dont be blinded by bs and stop defending bad practices becuase this inventory system was not put in place for the players it was put in place for money making and to please corporate for a greedy company

They said its cause 90% of players haven't fully upgraded their banks and inventories, so we obviously don't need storage.........

Once again, showcasing the "genius" that is Zenimax Online Studios. Maybe we'd upgrade our storage if it wasn't so *** expensive!!!

3 percent really where did you get those numbers from and ofcourse nobody maxes out there inventory you cant even complete quests untill you click complete and collect the reward but that doesnt mean people dont want more storage or that a better system could be put in place for inventory they have the money for it

Who knows being this game is an mmo everything is tapered down and stripped out there are so many restritions in this game i have to grind through the game as if its a chore everytime i play this game i just want to go play skyrim

Erm... so if you want to play a game that's just like skyrim... then maybe you should just go play skyrim?

Maybe eso should just start fixing the obvious problems it has how about that how about people quit defending the bs

I find the lack of punctuation in your post disturbing.

You got nothing else to say so you reduce your self to insults very mature. Theres no puntuation becuase i was typing fast.

Not really, I have no interest in housing, therefore I really just don't care nearly enough about to type out a whole essay about such a small "problem" like some people are.

Not sure how many of you played FFXI but the storage was fairly well done in Mog houses. In addition you could put mannequins in your home and place gear on them. Hope we see something like this in the future
