Wait, why has this been moved to Alliance War? It regards the entire state of the game. Not just PvP. Or do ZOS not like people seeing negatives with evidence?

ZOS keeps pushing their loyal players further and further away - that's a fact and Feng, well he's right. And after everything we dealt with a rant seems more than acceptable. :P

I wish the game would push more of these guys FURTHER out of the game! The PvP-centric people are the most toxic I've seen in gaming, and the more that leave the better IMO. Hate to break it to you, but this game IS NOT dominated by PvP players- although I know most of you want to convince yourself differently. For your information, this game is dominated by PvE solo-centric players and that is basically how the game was designed. Also, if Matt Firor even comes out and states that this game is more of a RPG than traditional MMO, then that should answer your question about how PvP fits into ESO.

While ZOS does have its fair share of problems, I'm still absolutely loving the game and I've been playing constantly for almost a year now. No, I don't PvP, I am one of the numerous solo-centric PvE players that you normally don't notice because I am too busy doing my own thing and enjoying the game. For those who think that ESO is 'losing players'- they're only losing the kind of players that you associate with... but the overall health of the game is just fine. Example... yesterday afternoon- a MONDAY afternoon- I started a new character and was annoyed because of the sheer number of players in the Wailing Prison, took me forever to reach level six because of how many players kept killing everything so quickly. Doing the Khenarthi's Roost and Auridon quests... same thing... players everywhere. So how can a game that is supposedly 'dying' be so constantly filled on a weekday afternoon with new players?!?

Wait 'til you get to end game, and learn that there really isn't much worth doing anymore.

I doubt that is an issue for most players now that there is regular DLC.

Done with Orsinium in 2 weeks. Done with Hew's Bane in less than a day. And I'm a casual player. Don't know what else to do.

I think you might be confused on what a casual player is.

Nope, buddy, I am not. I don't rush content. I play it on my free time. I listen to every dialogue NPCs have in every main story. I don't grind. I hate grinding. I played Thieves Guild in honestly, less than a day. Played it on my day off. It's a small zone, nice storyline. I've completed most achievements in TG (except the new trial ones, that is). So yeah, I know what it means to be casual. But I am competitive too. I think you are just too stuck with your idea with what a "casual" player is. Go out into the world, hun, and broaden your horizon. Live!

If you did the entire thing in one day then you arent a casual player. You say oh I dont rush content yet you say you completed everything in hews bane in 1 day. again you are confused what casual means. Even on my days off I cant sit for 24 hours at the PC. Nor would I really want to.

So are you telling me, if I finish the content in a year, that's when I become a casual player? If you haven't noticed the Hew's Bane Zone is probably just as big as Behtnik. It only has 16 non-repeatable quest. How many hours do you have to listen to an NPC's dialogue to immerse yourself? It's not like ZoS has used complicated words for the normal people to understand, it's not like the story is over complicated. And once again, it's a relatively small zone!!! If anyone is given a day to complete it, I'm pretty sure anyone can. If you can't complete it in less than 24hours and you have the chance to do it, maybe you're not a casual player, but just plain incompetent.

PS And again, I believe I have a better understanding of what a casual player is. You REALLY should widen your perspective, man.

If you have all day to play a game then you arent casual. It would take close to 20 hours to complete the quest line. If you sit for 20 hours straight on your pc you may not be a casual lol.

I just want some changes in PVP. Not asking for much.

Ya not like they havent already made 100s of changes for pvp. Not like the entire first dlc was dedicated to pvp. Most of the balance changes around PVP. New gear sets, monster helm vendor and all the other pvp updates. Yet you still arent happy. What changes do you want now?

First content release was Craglorn. You conviently forget this every thread you post in.

Imperial City is a mix of PvP and PvP.

Cyrodiil still isn't fixed - you forget this every thread.

Combat balances and abilities being fixed carry benefits to PvE - something you don't understand in every thread.

    Please quit trolling.

Notice I said the first DLC not the first update. Cyrodill will never be "fixed" even tho are very vague on what fixing it actually means. IC was a pvp update. The devs told us PVE people who had been waiting since craglorn we could just wait longer because "PVP people need some love and IC is a PVP update". So calling it a mix of pve and pvp is a joke. If thats true then cryodill is also a mix pf pve and pvp.

As far as you saying combat balances somehow help people in pve i literally laughed out loud at that statement.

DLC and Craglorn are the same thing. The difference is Craglorn was released during sub only play.

IC as a whole is a joke. It caters to a ganking play style...still doesn't mean it doesn't have PvE in it - because it does. Same with Cyrodiil.

No DLC you pay for or get free with the plus subscription. Craglorn was just an update they gave everyone free since back then it wasnt B2P. As far as your opinion on IC thats what the pvp crowd said they wanted. They wanted a smaller area to pvp in and to be able to gank/loot new players. They gave you guys exactly what you asked for.

Orsinium is an update, Theives Guild is an update. Imperial City is an update, or else we would all just be playing the base game. Craglorn (just like Orsinium, Theives Guild and Imperial City) is an expansion pack (or DLC) because it expands your gameplay. Meaning, it adds more content to what the base game has. Get it? Difference now is that you have to pay for your DLC since the game is b2p. DLC by the way literally means Downloadable Content, which is what Craglorn, Orisnium, TG and IC are-- they are downloadable contents. Here educate yourself: http://www.gamefaqs.com/xbox360/946195-fight-night-round-4/answers/80018-what-does-quotdlcquot-mean

Try going to IC for once, and see how much of a PvE it is than PvP. You get really nice dye if you complete the main quest by the way. (I'm not even being sarcastic about it).

IC was the first DLC. It very clearly says that on ZOS website. Anything else is semantics.

This is a thread about ZOS mishandling ESO. Not a thread about Alliance Wars, not a thread about EVE/Dust, not a thread about PvP-v-PvE, not a thread about the finer points of semantics regarding DLC.
'Okay, the question is...(laughter)...the question is, we have Vicious Death sets with Prox Det that are doing double damage from last patch -- they're doing double damage -- and the CP system scales them even more. lol. That logic is soooo flawed. First, who ever said that The Theives Guild has 20 hours of gameplay? Orsinium has 20-hours or so of gameplay, ZoS made clear of that. They knew Orsinium had content. They never mentioned how many hours Theives Guild could be completed. Judging from the size of the zone alone, I doubt that Thieves Guild has 20-hours in it. Like I said it has 16 non-repeatable quests. Orsinium probably has 32 more or less. And let me tell you right now, Thieves Guild's quest line doesn't take 20 hours to complete. Second, and whether or not I have all day to play a game doesn't make me hardcore or casual. It simply means, I have all day to play a game because it's my day off. Luckily I didn't have to play all day since, the DLC didn't take me all day to play. And third, you have not answered my question yet, I ask again: if I complete the TG DLC in a year does that make me a casual player then? Is that what you think a casual play should be? Because it seems to me, that unless people are as slow as you, they aren't casual. Hmmmm... :-/

CENSORSHIP. plain and simple. The radiant destruction thread was also pulled off the main page and pushed on this forum to die in obscurity. But that thread had much more justification to be moved than this one.

Fenrush's review was about the ENTIRE THIEVES GUILD DLC, not PvP at all. He talked about how PvE trials haven't been updated just to push DLC.

Putting that thread in this section is intended to obscure it.

Hardcore people burn through 3 months of development in three days and then complain they have nothing to do for months.
This sums it up in a nutshell. They race to the top then whine that there's nothing to do once they're there. If you slow down and simply play the game instead of just focusing on the end game then there you'll have a much better time and plenty of content along the way. If you race to the treasure then you'll miss the gold along the road.

Problem is there is very little end game, theres is 1 12 man raid.

The DLC's , orsinium/TG are 1 zone, you really think people aare going to stretch that out for 3 months? That would barely last 1/2 days.

That is not a content issue. That is a playstyle issue. The majority of players don't play it that way. The majority of players likely take weeks to finish a DLC. I spend a lot of time in game and I know I take a long time to complete them.

Not every game is a good fit for everyone.

No, even new players wouldn't take weeks to complete the 1 zon dlc's. Stop over estimating them. The dlc is at most what 15-20 hours of questing at MOST.

Some players will do it in 3 days, some will take a week. Others maybe 2, but for 3 months worth? Not at all, the only re playability of it is the trial which requires you to be in a very good pve guilds, have a max character, 400+ cp's and have the best in slot gear for your role to complete it.

How do you know what the majority of players do?

You know whats funny, under the orsinium list of things included in it, it stats 20 hours of content. Seems like they intended the game to be for hardcore players.

I still cannot understand why anyone would even donate to WATCH SOMEONE ELSE PLAY A VIDEO GAME. lol I am not given a dime of the money i have earned while serving overseas to someone that plays video games. Kids doing this i can understand. But adults? lol Be either a game developer or play recreationaly.

The video can be summed up by I dont get as many streamers as others because they talk way nicer about Zos, and get this, Zos responds more to them. You are giving away a million dollars to someone other than the streamers. wa wa.

They came to first we are ESO podcast and then didnt anymore i believe. You know why? You four represent such a small percentage of the community and are COMPLETELY BIASED and CONDESENSING TO LARGE SCALE PVP, which this game was designed for. You want them to change the game to suit your styles so you can get more streamers. I dont care if you deny this i am not stupid. And you wonder why they ignore you?

Other than that right on point.

First of all, this is the tech age. If people want to stream games and accept donations from people, they are free to do that. This is life today. Second you are being very toxic in a non-swear way. Not only that you have to use caps to make points... not mature at all. Lastly, this isn't about him being a twitch streamer, this is about the current state of the game. Get on topic man.

To everyone addressing the points made in the video: Thank you for carrying the discussion, whether you agree or disagree with the content of said video.

I sympathize greatly with the tone of it because of my own personal experience. ZOS, you better not censor what I'm about to write:
    - I bought the Imperial Retail Collector's Edition pre-order for just under $100 + $15 or so for shipping. I played 5 days early access, then about 7 days after launch before my account was hacked. Everything was stolen; gear, gold, materials, runes. Everything. Items from the CE were also missing/deleted.
    - I submitted multiple tickets about it because ZOS kept telling me they were aware of my 'missing bank slots/items' issue, even when I said nothing to that effect. It took nearly 2 weeks of me pestering them to get a 1:30am phone call telling me that, yes, my account was confirmed as having been hacked and my account would be restored later that day; I was also told it might be rolled back to pre-hack.
    - So I stopped playing; it didn't help that i had 0g and no gear. Mind you, this was when every mob dropped 1g. For the next month and a half, I continued to send in tickets asking why my account wasn't recovered. I was ignored. Ignored. Ignored. Ignored. Ignored.
    - Finally, I was mailed all of my items through in-game mail. I sussed out my inv, filled up my bank, took a mental dump on ESO and uninstalled after canceling my sub. Also, I wasn't properly reimbursed for all of that sub time that I had lost as a result of being told that my account would likely be rolled back. Almost 2mo sub time gone. What did I get? 30days sub time added. But I had quit the game.

I came back about 2 months ago and did my best not to flashback to this experience. It was all well and good until I started seeing complaints here and there. I chalked everything up to QQ quota. Time passed. Now here I am, still seething at ZOS...and letting them know in every ticket I submit; why? Because I reported someone harassing me and my guild, and the auto-response was about purchasing crowns from the store, then the ticket was marked complete. [TRIGGERED^2]

Now, if you've read this far, I thank you; this isn't meant to be a QQ post-it note. I'm fleshing this out to let everyone know exactly how I feel about this company. In case you haven't figured it out, I absolutely loathe them. If they weren't attached to ESO, I would take joy in watching them flop. But it's because they're attached to ESO that I want them to succeed, despite my seething *** of rage I have for them.

And part of them succeeding, first and foremost, is to not give away $1mil to some nobody because reasons.
    * Succeeding would have been taking $1mil and investing in more than 1.5 voice actors for all of the trash NPCs, more/better servers for PvP, more employees to hash out bugs/balancing.
    * Succeeding would have been revamping their AvAvA centerpiece over the years instead of neglecting it to the point that they decide to just retroactively change their view to "sorry not sorry, eso is actually supposed to be singleplayer online, not pvp".
    * Succeeding would have been taking more time and effort in putting out bug fixes (before skill balancing) over vanity items; I disregard anyone who tries playing the "they need munniez because business" excuse about their focus on the Crown Store. THEY GAVE ONE MILLION FETCHING DOLLARS TO A RANDOM NOBODY FOR A BOX-PUSHING PR STUNT.
    * Succeeding would have been scheduling fixes to a scope beyond 'all at once and with a huge injection of content', because that is just a distaster waiting to happen. Period.

This post grew larger than I wanted, and I haven't even ranted everything I wanted. So I'll conclude:
This game was intended to be as much PvP, if not more, as it was to be PvE when they brought it to us. This game has bugs in it old enough to collect SS checks.
I still hate ZOS with a fiery passion because I think their customer service is terrible. I have no comment about their community moderators, because I infrequently visit the forum; I only come here for the Natch Potes.
We have a 64-bit client (yay) but it's busted up and slathered in duct tape (boo), but I'm assuming it will get ironed out over time (meh).
Stuff is broken, things are unbalanced, crashing and missing textures abound, unscaled content (possibly linked to when VR goes byebye), people killing each other in the forum with the quick go-to's of "PvPer v PvEer" or "Filthy casual" this or "Entitled hardcore" that or "Stam vs Mag" this or "My Fist v Your Face" that.

    Summary: ALESWELL 2016, NEVER FORGET

You sir, thank you. That is all. I wish people would be understanding of both spectrums. We all want a well balanced game with replayable content and quests that arent boring/repetitive. We all want to fight against other factions in a grand scale or small scale, but ZOS is leaning towards catering the types of people who do not complain about the game, so the game will continue to not get fixed or stick with the "No ETA" slogan. This game has became more toxic than League of Legends and that game is extremely toxic.

    @MormondPayne_EP , I reported you.

    .

Good for you Pavlik Morozov! I personally know Mormond Payne as a very good player and tough opponent. I have fought with him and against him. He used to have the patience to run pug groups which is more patience than I have ever had.

So he finally got angry and spouted off. Happens to the best of us. Reporting him helps the community even less as we risk losing one more voice of sanity and one more friend on these forums to the oversensitive policies that have silenced so many.

The way ZOS has treated the PvP community has brought many of us to anger. Instead of being a good little Trotskyite, and blindly following the rules, how about you help the entire PvP community figure out how to channel all of this anger towards something positive and find a way to move forward?

We have lost Ezareth, Teargrants, Braidias, Asgari, Cinn, so many voices. These forums are worse for not having them despite any outbursts that may have happened.

We need a place to let off steam. Maybe it was good that ZOS moved this thread into the alliance war section if this is what it devolved to.

Back on topic please. Don't want to risk an unfair thread lock.

And to think, Teargrants was banned for posting a spider man meme.

Wait, why has this been moved to Alliance War? It regards the entire state of the game. Not just PvP. Or do ZOS not like people seeing negatives with evidence?

The state of the game is fine. It is a thread inspired by valid PvP frustration.

Lol at ZOS for moving this thread to alliance war because they don't want people to see how much they've *** up.

Could one of you guys be so kind to enlighten us on why this thread has been moved to alliance war when it clearly isn't only talking about the alliance war and is talking about the game as a whole?

Those three guys tagged here are *** incompetent, sarcastic, arrogant jerk.

They will not enlighten ***. All they will go is continue to /lurk and be a cancer to the community and the game. As far as I am concerned, these people need to be fired.

Fired and never hired again in the industry.

    *** ZOS.

Sounds like you have a personal history with them.

Geez, it is amazing how people get so riled up about things like this that they jump to vilifying whoever they can target.

I'm guessing their character can't be as bad as what some reveal about themselves in their forum posts.

Seriously? The mentality of some of you PvPers, WOW , you really need to find something else to do if PvPing causes so much stress...just WOW.... played MMOs since 2000 and never seen this amount of BS from players on a forum. Some of these posts are ban-able.

Well...I'm glad he did report. This thread is gettng so toxic. Some players just need to move on. So does Fengrush. Never seen a more adult child.

But I liked what you said a bit before about the guy only focusing on the negative and never giving praise where praise is due. There have been a lot of good changes to ESO. And to think that the Devs don't care about this game is ridiculous.
