    TOTALLY AGREE. I hope @ZOS listen to this, OP. (I know this topic is old, but still relevant)

    The difficulty of the game in general is just a joke, outside of instances, etc.

    One of the main reasons I stopped playing WoW months ago, was because of how easy mobs are when you're questing, and they presented no challenge whatsoever. I don't see why they couldn't make Imperial City mobs the same difficulty or slightly less, all around Tamriel, especially with the catch-up system to CPs etc...

    No one should have to take off their gear or use worse gear for the sense of challenge and difficulty.

    ... Seriously? You expect SOLO content in an MMO to be difficult?

    WHAT? Are you an intelligent person? I think so... therefore NO SOLO content will be difficult.

    IF you want difficult, then solo veteran CoA, solo WGT, do Maelstrom Arena, solo Wrothgar bosses.

    You want Story mode to be difficult?? I can't think of a solo game that ever had difficult anything, especially once you know what you are doing. Every game has patterns, you do this, they do that you win etc.

    It's for the plot, PvP is for difficulty.

    The solo stuff is primarily about storytelling. It is best to leave the pretty doable for most because a lot of players are focused on enjoying the stories. These people will keep coming back for storytelling if the quality is high like Orsinium.

    Orsinium is incredibly engaging because the storytelling is good. Combat is secondary. If you want challenges in combat, don't look for it in the fights needed to finish story lines. They can't have fights that block progression of gamers who aren't as skilled.

    What is the relevance of trophies to enjoying the story in a game? How did playing through the story become a competition? If you were talking about leaderboards or PvP, you might have a point. But instead, that just sounds narrow-minded.

    To be honest, I probably preferred the difficulty at launch. But I also remember multiple people in the guild I was in who struggled to stay alive and ended up leaving the game frustrated.

    Play Maelstrom Arena on Vet mode and see if you still think everything is too easy.
