Ya I'm probably done, making all characters that are VR 1 the same points, this new crap they pretty much took advantage of their entire hardcore user base, I honestly hope this game fails now
I'm not voting just yet as I want to see how it turns out. If it's a mix of Guild Wars (B2P) and Rift (F2P+P2P option) which it looks like it'll be then I'll be happy with it. No sense in trying to speculate right now just how it'll turn out, and I'm paid up through the change.
I'm not paid up through the change, and I'm struggling mighty hard right now to find a reason to pay my sub fee in a few weeks.
I reacted first with utter shock, then anger. I'm trying to chill and look at it differently. I want to give it a shot, but there are a few things mentioned in their article of how the Plus Premium membership will work that I don't like at all, and can see going very badly.
Not sure if this is going to be a road I want to travel with ZOS, and it's kind of heartbreaking, because I love this game and have been excited for the coming systems.
I'm very disappointed. I have been here since BETA and feel like i have paid for a beta test only to have it thrown back in my face. I honestly want to cancel my sub right now and be done with this game, but that is my initial reaction after hearing something very disappointing. I am going to hold out and see what it turns into first, as soon as i hit the pay walls and any single pay to win element i am gone. Such a shame, i loved this game.

Unfortunately, the consoles dictated these changes. You can't make PC players pay a sub fee and then either make console players pay no sub fees or make them pay two sub fees (XBox Live/PS Plus and the ESO sub).
The future of this game is certainly bleak. I'm already on the hook for sub fees that will take me into May so I will experience almost two months of the new model. The cash shop with its potions and soul gems portends storms on the horizons as time invested in the game is thrown out the window in favor of anyone willing to pay ZOS to be an instant winner.
rubbish FF14 makes you pay a sub on PS4 and if you play any other game online u need PS plus.
Unfortunately for us Microsoft would not allow the use of xbox live without a gold membership. Sony tried to work with ZOS but Microsoft in the end forced this change.
When the game first launched always said it would be F2P/B2P within a year. MMO's nowadays cant maintain a sub based game, it's just not the norm any more, they had to hit the ground running and ESO didn't. I'll stick around as I enjoy the game (I'm a pve guy), plus I was always going to jump to console when it released as that's where my friends are going to play on.
My only reservation is from a content aspect. I'll continue my sub fee as the rewards are too OP compared to not subbing but I hope they keep up with updates although I imagine we will go to maybe every 3/4 months between updates once consoles launch hits

My car is stuck at garage for repair.
My favorite game become B2P and I'm totally disgusted with the incoming DLC consolish that I just read in the FAQ.
I know there is much worst then this in life, but still a *** day ...
I don't see how dropping the subscription will improve the future content of this game, the futur fix on class & bug.
I'm afraid that customer service will go down pretty fast too.
I'll wait for my final judgement on this game until I see what is really the '' Tamriel Unlimited '', but there is a part of me that know that I'm lying to myself and get enough experience from sub to B2P or F2P model that never ended well ...
I am 99% positive they went with a b2p model simply so they could sell it on the xbox one. So ya consoles stuck it to us. Also why no compensation for people like me who have paid every month? Shouldnt we get the 1500 crowns or whatever for every month we have paid a sub since launch? Yet we get nothing but a screw you from zenimax for being loyal customers.
From what the FAQ said, we are getting backdated crowns as if it had existed since launch
Where in the FAQ did it say that? I must have missed it.
(Part of the "How do I get Crowns" sub heading:
2) As a current subscriber: If you are an active subscriber when The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited launches, you will receive 500 crowns for having a game account, plus 100 crowns for each 30-day period you have been an active subscriber.
Took me a while to find it, as i couldn't believe they would give us nothing for the time we had already paid for

So Im on of "those" people who beta tested the game and then decided it is not worth it. I can uderstand monthly sub, I can understand having a cash shop and I can understad to charge people some price for your product - but all three at the same time? It is still ridiculous and this is why going b2p is not a surprise to anyone. Since the game is just a generic MMO with first person view and nothing special about it.
Now that it will be b2p I am actually intrigued and I am considering buying before the transformation.
So instead of having all kinds of ways to get your money this game dropps one of them in favor for more people to get involved. This might be a good thing for the game, or it might be the worst thing ever happened.
The game I resently play a lot is Assassins Creed Unity (don't judge me) it is B2P and it has a cash shop with some ridiculous looking outfits and probably some unfair P2W attributes that I don't like to discuss here. The point is that I never even go to the cash shop because I play with my friends and I don't really care how the other assassins look like and that they have more sleeping darts and can buy them cheap by the dozen with cash. This breaks their gameplay by entering the other dimeniton and skipping a big part of the game - the dealing with not having those things.
I am going to get into TESO next month on salary and probably after that and I really hope all the best for the game and for the community and I'll do my best to bring fresh blood and I can assure you that people like me (30 years old and above) will play the game and probably never go into that shop (except to get an occational dog)
Please choose which one is the closest to your feelings. Curiosity here. Personally, I like the way the game was and am fearful of any changes B2P might bring. P2P always guarantees that anyone playing is at the same advantage as the rest. In P2P, time commitment, skill, and in-game choices are the only factors separating players.
I am curious as to what everyone else thinks, because there are other sides to everything.
