Tracert to the PC NA server:
Doesn't seem to be a massive continuous bottleneck with Akamai or anything like that, based on that tracert. Why am I getting upwards of 999+ ping spikes around wayshrines when I change zones, or when I simply harvest ore, or when I approach a contested keep in Cyrodiil since the last maintenance? I'm on the best fiber internet package I can possibly get. No other online games I play with servers based in the US are having this problem.

What are the 3 with 100% packet loss that you redacted?

You have to wait for the path ping to complete. Follow the directions given on the support page and the command shell. 450 seconds is 7.5 minutes.
Well... the time has come. I think my experience last night was the last straw for me and my guldies.
A bunch of us just ended our ESO Plus memberships. The lack of response from ZOS on this is concerning.

Hmm, even as an RPer just hanging out in zones, my friends have disconnected fairly regularly. Even I have had problems... I think that's worth considering.

To that I would say trust the decisions of your predecessor at ZOS as they probably had a better idea of what's going on than the current crew in terms of why things were done a certain way.
@ZOS_Kevin Are you able to confirm if any of this upcoming testing has to do with a possible fix for the issues expressed within this thread by chance or is it unrelated?

Would be nice if they were testing an in-house DDoS system that would wean them off the Akamai bottleneck.
But my optimism has been jaded by the results of the past 10 years worth of performance improvement attempts.

Can one of you address the recent performance issues? So many have asked and we have not really got any response other than the IT standard of have you tried these troubleshooting guide.......... It [snip]
I can only speak for PC NA Greyhost, but the server performance since update 43 has gone to complete ***, ping is always off the charts crashes and we seem to be only getting silence.
I will start with its great that we are adding stuff to the game and new content but can we not get any info on the current issues? New content that will be just as broken as everything else, I crashed in Reapers March the other day, I crashed in vDSA and vLC.
I until recently rarely crashed out, I have crashed more in 2 weeks than I have in 10 years.
Please formally address the performance issues. We have Dev trackers on way less important agendas but cant sem to have this added.

Ive always subbed to games I wanted to support/actively played. ESO is the first that I have cancelled my sub while still playing, but logging in is less and less enjoyable, and ESO has been teetering on the edge of being the first MMO i outright quit without first having a new game that held my attention, because its performance is so abysmal.

I could live with it being a PvP only issue but its now affecting EVERY aspect of the game. @ZOS_Kevin @ZOS_BrianWheeler
Look at all these posts regarding Akamai and ESO high lag/rubber banding issues going back to 2017. If I was ZoS I would be giving them (Akamai) an ear full. All the ping/latency/disconnects can be traced back to Akamai based on packetloss trackers/wireshark info I've seen.

This thread right here (https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/436992/high-latency-at-akamai-com/p10) is right in line with the tread we are currently posting in. May I suggest we have devs run through the previous thread and figure out how to deal with Akamai. Yes, DDoS protection is important but does it really do anything when Akamai basically makes the users feel as though theres a never ending DDoS attack going on?

That is quite the list...
