So we can all see and feel the new bugs that have come with each new DLC. With all this new awsm content also comes the bad the lag the broken skills the new exploits we all know what im talking about so this is just a basic poll. Should ZoS take a break from there new DLC every 3 month plan and take a quarter off to really fix some under line problems do some stability updates then the following Q this holiday come back with a nice hefty DLC game plan?

I was there when they were prepping the console version with many, many, many months of content drought.

i was there to man! but that was a pretty base game back then we have alot of content in game now to hold us over i feel. Even if it just ment instead of next DLC being new content just take 3 months and bring out a stability update then next quarter go back to content.

See, we do have a lot more content in the game now. I completely agree there. However, I am a bit of a content floozy and need more all the time haha.

I mean, there are always going to be bugs in an MMO. And new content will always pile a few more bugs on top of those, but from PTS, the DB patch is a lot better than the TG patch. I like that they are sticking to their commitment for a DLC every quarter, and I have a feeling that something rather big is around the corner to be announced at E3 ...

They did this to themselves by making the game buy to play.

Now in order to keep the spice flowing it is important for them to continuously output content and crown store items, even if riddled with bugs. Maybe the OP crafting bags will help retain subs and the upcoming housing will have enough desired high cost crown items to allow them some more time in between DLC. We will see.

With the current release of the game, I think it's okay for them to slow down - and have a coffee - to fix the remaining issues in the game.

That doesn't mean I'm not excited for any new content they'll be pushing for release though :)

Without a doubt the PvP is amazing in this game thought it could - as you said - use a few touch ups :)

Yea... it's true that if they don't release anything for a while, game will really die off.

With that in mind, I do hope that when they do take a break - they'll release a huge content patch before then to keep players going in and from the game. :)

Bug fixes and performance optimization should be the number one agenda for any professional gaming company in today's world. Most professions always put quality first, but that standard seems to be lacking in the gaming world as of late.

I, like many others, like to see new content as often as possible. Yet when new content comes that breaks performance or old content then there is a serious issue. Those issues need to be addressed before moving further with the game. Every DLC that comes out makes performance worse, at this rate the game will be morbidly unplayable by this time next year. Unless ZoS sits down and looks at options for fixing bugs and optimizing the performance of the game and/or the servers.

I miss the option "they should slow down with content updates before releasing the next dlc (db) and fix their game first".

That should be #1 priority. Unfortunately, it's not how businesses work...

Can't see any "continuous improvements". at least not int the pvp area. it got worse with each update. furthermore, pve is boring as hell and will stay boring as hell even if you add 20 more pve dlcs. not much of an improvement as well, if you don't focus on the main issues.

but well, maybe it's an improvement for you if you can run a new dungeon 50+ without even getting the items your looking for. ;)

The sad truth is that there isn't a good or right answer.

If they don't release new content in approximately three months after DB, population numbers will drop, people will have fewer players to play with, and the general impression is that the game is dead. Sure, when the next content release comes out in six months, nine months, or a year, some players will return. But not always enough. A game can only recover so many times from a 'content drought' event (see Destiny).

Some would argue that ESO took irreperable damage because of it's lack of content followups during the first year. They did a lot of bug fixing (just looking at the main storyline ... yeah, a ton of fixes, and I'm serious). But no new content, bad reviews, purging playerbase, and *then* the onset of boredom.

It's my opinion, based on over two decades of being involved in games, that if they 'take a break', ESO might not recover enough popultion by the time of the next update to keep the company afloat.
Ruze Aulus. Mayor of Dhalmora. Archer, hunter, assassin. Nightblade.
Gral. Mountain Terror. Barbarian, marauder, murderer. Nightblade.
Na'Djin. Knight-Blade. Knight, vanguard, defender. Nightblade.

    XBOX NA
Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.

He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.

Not the case. A game out for less than a year before it starts a 12 month period of not adding any meaningful content has a make negative effect. Nerves players away due to boredom.

Some of the players have returned but many have not been seen.
