This game is completely broken... How can this poll be so split?! You people really want to continue paying for broken content that was created over a year ago? You must be frequent flyers to the used car lot

At this point, there is no money in it for ZOS to take some time off. In fact, it would cost them money since they would not be selling DLC. Anyone who was going to quit this game because of "issues" would have already done so by now and fixes would bring very few people back. Just keep on truckin' at this point.

Well they have developed basically the whole map of Vvardenfell as Datamined by Dominoid on the Tamriel Foundry. Therefore, that will likely be the next huge DLC on the scale of Orsinium likely.

It will be quite nostalgic for lovers of Morrowind.

A lot of people don't give ZOS enough credit but they are working hard at developing new content and keeping us busy and enjoying the game.

my guild friend would love them to do fixes and release good solid content every 6 months, bug free. I would hate it and get bored and leave, and as you see the split is quite even. i wouldn't be alone.

The problem is not all DLC is for everyone. I can only level so many alts and play so much for so long, before i crave new and shiny. I'm not good enough at pvp to enjoy it 24/7, and there hasn't been PvE small group content since Imperial city and that was 8 months ago and with none coming with DB it'll be a year before they may or may not release new content for small groups.

So if you delay for fixes its not "come on guys you cant wait 3 months for fixes" its come on guys you cant wait over a year? And the answer is i will end up waiting a year. Don't push it.

So we can all see and feel the new bugs that have come with each new DLC. With all this new awsm content also comes the bad the lag the broken skills the new exploits we all know what im talking about so this is just a basic poll. Should ZoS take a break from there new DLC every 3 month plan and take a couple months off to really fix some under line problems do some stability updates then maybe this holiday come back with a nice hefty 2017 DLC game plan?

I want a DLC about magic!! School of magic, Spellcrafting, remove AOE caps in Cyro, fix lag in Cyro!

While new content few months is great and keeps the game active... It's not worth anything if every new content brings more problems to the game. Dark Brotherhood should be the last DLC for 2016 and the rest of the year should be spent in fixing the game, balancing classes and improving the existing stuff.

Its ridiculous how each time I go to new areas the textures take like 10 to 15 seconds to render, how at times the area soundtrack and sound effects just break sounding like an assault rifle firing a triple burst shot. How I am completing a dungeon and the game just closes on me. New content means nothing if it can't be played the right way.

So in my opinion there shouldn't be any new DLC for a year. That's plenty of time to come up with actual functional fixes not band-aid patches. And the next DLC that's released should be properly tested. If it's not ready then it's not ready do not rush a release just to meet a deadline.

Good luck playing by yourself then..new content is the lifeblood of MMOs. PVPers can hack off each others faces in one zone for a long time and we're happy as long as it works. You quit throwing out new content for PVEers which are the majority of players, thosewho roll through content like a goat does grass, and they will wander off to the next world.

I believe the game has already too much content. It's still beyond me how in reality's name can some burn though all that and say they are bored and want more. I mean really? I thought I was no-Life-ing games but I've seen posts here that do leave me in "awe"

I would want to vote yes and no. Yes because as you said with each new DLC there are always new glitches, bugs and other issues that need to be addressed. However, its very good that ESO gets updated frequently with new content. Keeps the game up to date and well, fresh really. But after TDB comes out I would not mind at all if the developers sat down and just spent some time on the PvP. I know a lot of people say it all the time. But they say it for a reason. PvP in Cyrodiil has to be addressed. I haven't done PvP in a few weeks now. Mostly because I know that I will just get a lot of lag, or a loading screen in the middle of a siege.

So before anymore content is added, the developers should fix whats already in the game. The more they add the more they will have to fix. Dont get me wrong, I want new content. I look forward to housing and a barber shop and so on. But I want it to be added to a game that isn't slowly breaking and falling apart more and more.

They don't need to take a break but I do feel they would benefit from adding more developer staff members.
    @ZOS_RichLambert and @ZOS_GinaBruno
At this moment it's clear that the consoles need their own teams who specialize in each platform. The PC group should remain. Because it would seem to be more of a copy and port, the console teams don't need to be large, but perhaps just o add 4-6 more staff members all together.

    Ie:
-consoles need the right type of content that works best with each platform.
-DLC for Xbox one should always be in the console store and not the crown store.
-ESO Plus should be in the crown store and not the Xbox store
-account wide things like mounts, pets and costumes should be in the Xbox store and not the crown store
-motif and bank upgrades, etc should stay in the crown store

In my experience with other games, people will call for companies to stop and fix the bugs/game and when they do that, those same players, plus the average players start to suffer from the lack of content and will look elsewhere anyway.

Not saying issues shouldn't be fixed, but it should be done alongside new content releases.

A regular release schedule keeps people interested, playing and paying.

Well as I've moved to a more casual play style I myself haven't used up all of the material but with PC waiting so long for new content as it waited for consoles, a lot of folks blazed through the old stuff. I went through all of Orsinium in about 2-3 weeks and from what I hear thieves guild wasn't a ton of content. I can only imagine then if they just took a break for 6 months or a year most players who have been here on pc since day one would hit a content wall. I remember on these forums way before console release people were fuming that they were running out of stuff to do. I'd say taking a break is a no no.

Didn't think of that. I'm on console so yeah to me it's so much to do and i still have stuff to complete. I just recently finished all of orsinium, I still have to go through thieves guild and finish Cadwell's gold. And also finish Craglorn, which I can't because I can never find a group that wants to go there but what you just said does make a lot of sense...

I have thought for a long time now they should alternate their quarters like this:
1st qtr - DLC/base update with Road Ahead article.
2nd qtr - Polishing base update with small scale updates likes weapon dying, a barber shop, etc.
3rd qtr - Just like the first quarter.
4th qtr - Just like the second quarter.

That should be decent enough to add enough content while keeping up on the bugs. I am ok not getting a new dlc zone every quarter.

I think DLC every 3 months is fine. I think base game updates every 3 months is fine. But I do not think they should do them simultaneously. You would still get DLC every 90 days, but by not combining it with sweeping class/skill/gear changes at same time, it should be both easier to test (less to test each time) and easier to fix if bugs make it to live (fewer changes to comb through looking for bug).

This also has benefit of giving players something to look forward to every 45 days instead of every 90 days!

    Example:
Day 001: Magicka-centric balance changes and fixes.
    Day 045: Thieves Guild DLC
Day 090: Stamina-centric balance changes and fixes
    Day 135: Dark Brotherhood DLC
Day 180: PvP-centric balance changes and fixes
Day 225: Future DLC (like Dualing/Arenas/Battlegrounds or something)
Day 270: PvE-centric balance changes and fixes
Day 315: Future DLC (like Vvardenfell + a couple new dungeons or something)
    Day 360: etc., etc.
    Day 405: etc., etc.

You're seeing this as very black and white....

There can be shades of grey..

For example... still do the quarterly DLC but have a smaller one to allow more work to go into fixing bugs, and making bigger/better future DLC (EG Vvardenfell).

Like the rumour of a smaller Q3 DLC this year involving a couple of new 4 man dungeons, maybe housing, but no new land mass/zone.

Unfortunately it's a pretty safe bet that the people clamoring for DLCs to be held back while their issues are fixed would be the first to shout "ZOS lied to us over quarterly DLCs" if they were to do that. I don't see it as either necessary or advisable.

No. There is something in business called continuous improvement. I would see if as an old pick up game on the street with your friends, once someone took that break, the game was over.

Can't see any "continuous improvements". at least not int the pvp area. it got worse with each update. furthermore, pve is boring as hell and will stay boring as hell even if you add 20 more pve dlcs. not much of an improvement as well, if you don't focus on the main issues.

but well, maybe it's an improvement for you if you can run a new dungeon 50+ without even getting the items your looking for. ;)

If they take a break with giving me new stuff to get all excited about, I might take a break with playing, and I definitely would take a break spending on the crown store.

I do not care about "game balance" that much, I am in ESO to have FUN, not to win "fair fights". I am willing to pay for more Fun, not for fights getting more fair.

And if they dare "take a break" before they fulfilled all the promises they made back in 2014... especially barbershop... I'd never forgive them! :p
