I like earthgore.
Without earthgore, we wouldn't be able to spot bad players.
No respectable groups on PC NA run it or use it. Only the zergs, beginners, and faction stackers.
So it's nice for me to be able to identify them so easily.
"Oh look, that player has come to terms with their mediocrity, and they've put on a set to help them compete with people more skilled than them."
Good on them, says I. Not everyone gets to be an astronaut when they grow up, so I'm glad we have earthgore proccing to let us readily identify ESO's burger flippers.
(No offense to actual burger flippers)
A really good group with good cross heals doesn't even need a healer.

Group leaders over the past several years have argued capping organized groups at 16 @crown idea or that groups make a conscious effort to spread out over the map @frozywozy idea.

My frames haven't moved under 30 in at least a year, and that's while streaming in 960p. Otherwise I'm at 42+ frames with 100players on the screen. You should probably consider upgrading your processor next black friday.
Also, make sure you are running the game with the following graphic settings :
- Texture Quality : Medium
- Shadow Quality : Low
- All particle settings : Minimum
- View distance : Minimum
- Ambient Occlusion and Dept of Field : Off
Then if you want the game to look great, get a 2k / 4k monitor and run the game in 1440p or 2160p.
Hope that helps!

What is your processor? Do you confirm that you run the game with the graphic settings mentioned above?

Ok so your problem is not that you cannot run the game smoothly. The problem is that your graphic expectations are too high for what the game can support right now. Looks like your final options are the following :
1) Buy a 2k or 4k monitor so you can run the game in a decent resolution (game looks great even with graphic settings mentioned above)
2) Uninstall the game
I just think its an unsavory looking style to play. Makes me wish there was collision so you couldn't squash 20 people together in one space. I played in a ball group once and zomg its follow crown. Drop ultimate now. Follow crown. They are like dumb herd animals. They are effective. They are however asthetically unappealing. But ZOS isn't responsible for this. Human beings exploit and figure out the best way to get from point a to point b all the time. Looking at Wrobles posts and some of the other developers I am sure that they aren't trying to encourage these crown humpers.

@CrownOn the topic of Earthgore, I still believe it's one of the more powerful sets if it's used correctly. A group of 6-10 can easily get by with one healer if there's one or two others running it. A really good group with good cross heals doesn't even need a healer.

What do you consider "correct use" of earthgore tho?

Open your eyes and see the truth kid, just because they spam aoe isn't the reason you lose or the lag.
Seeing your stats on that sorc and to what skills you're using makes you loose. Dont blame it on the server now because the organized groups lag too.
Zos should just change AOEs so that for every person that is grouped with you makes your aoe dps and heals 10% less effective in pvp... So if you are in a 24 man group you aoe dps and heals are 240% less effective!!

you realize that if you had 10 people in a group you'd be at 0%. just saying.

Loll... You are correct! I was thinking more of the reverse of what skills current skills do now (IE when your target is below 30% health this skill does 300% more damage) but not to the point it did nothing at all. Plus I was just giving a quick example off the top of my head.
However my point still stands and that is that aoe heals and dps is way to strong in groups. I also realize that Cyrodiil is meant for large scale pvp and that is one thing I really like about it. But lowering the effectiveness of Aoe dps and heals depending on group size does not mean you can't group up like always... It just means you actually have aim and target people rather than spam one or two buttons for the win!!

Who are these monsters that bring their 16-20 person lag to the quiet countryside where an unsuspecting 3-4 person squad is subjected to their terrible lag? Normally, if a ball group is around doing ball group stuff in your area, it's because there's 50-60 of your faction mates nearby, and guess what; you're part of that zerg even if you're in your comfy OP high-skill small man group or you're a super cool 1vXing uber ganker.
They aren't after you, but you're in the pack that they are after. And if you think it's their numbers that are hurting your performance, take a look at the numbers of the people they're fighting....yourself included.
