    Then if you want the game to look great, get a 2k / 4k monitor and run the game in 1440p or 2160p.

    I believe that the idea to aim for a 16men group was also my idea. I don't recall Crown ever supporting this concept. He has been known to run in large raids since he first started "leading and organizing his faction" as he liked to describe himself.

    Ok so your problem is not that you cannot run the game smoothly. The problem is that your graphic expectations are too high for what the game can support right now. Looks like your final options are the following :

    1) Buy a 2k or 4k monitor so you can run the game in a decent resolution (game looks great even with graphic settings mentioned above)

    2) Uninstall the game

    I just think its an unsavory looking style to play. Makes me wish there was collision so you couldn't squash 20 people together in one space. I played in a ball group once and zomg its follow crown. Drop ultimate now. Follow crown. They are like dumb herd animals. They are effective. They are however asthetically unappealing. But ZOS isn't responsible for this. Human beings exploit and figure out the best way to get from point a to point b all the time. Looking at Wrobles posts and some of the other developers I am sure that they aren't trying to encourage these crown humpers.

    Negate is the perfect counter to these groups. I am not sure why they need a counter to this counter. Besides move really fast to the right. I hate to say it because I love the animation earth gore needs to go. I am not a fan of ball groups. They are so good. Much respect. But there should be a hard counter to them. Negate seems to be the thing.

    If you don't like it, maybe Cyrodiil large scale PvP is not made for you. I don't believe that the main goal of Zenimax was to release a 500vs500vs500 instance pvp at release with a multitude of small skirmishes all across the map. You would probably have more fun doing battlegrounds or to move in another game where battlegrounds are even bigger.

    If it wasn't their intent they would've made the group size 24. If they intended on groups of 24 but not organization within those groups then they are dumber than I imagined.

    Everyone is entitled to their opinion. However, Organized group play is the hardest playstyle in this game. Getting 24 people to follow crown is the easiest part. Getting 24 players to be on the right class with the right builds, practicing self control on when and what to do based on the uncertainty of your opponent actions. Reading the map, moving to the right objective at the right speed and then quickly making a plan that might or might not work to engage, counter, or retreat is the most complex aspect of organized play. The fact that in PVE you can grab 2 healers 2 tanks and 8 DPS and go run a dungeon that has the same mechanics with the same boss fights that all have the same about of resists is simple compared to the fact that opponent can counter every move another group does. I would love to see an intelligent AI Boss counter a raid in trial.

    If you are not seeing this then you just haven't had the right experience yet.

    Yea there was a vocal group of players in this game that argued for removing AoE caps and that would be good for the game. ZoS bought this argument and your screenshot shows the obvious result.

    Ball groups of players moving around together mindlessly mashing AoE buttons and they call it skillful and fun PvP.....LOL...What a joke.

    I just leave the area or logoff when I see this stupidity.

    Reminds me of the days when people said there were guilds dedicated to casting healing springs tucked away in a corner away from any sign of other players just to lag the servers.

    Or the time when people were saying that there was a player who used a modified exe file to cause ddos on people other than his teammates lol

    Cant we just accept that the servers are crap? People are trying to play how zos promoted the games pvp, and this is what happens when you get servers from the dollar store lulz

    not all 20 man groups are strong, many are just weak players banding together in order to survive. if his group is like this i can see why AOE ball groups would crush his 20 man raid. When running a raid you gotta make sure you have AOE DEFILE, AOE Snares or roots and AOE damage. if you dont have these 3 basic things , your poor healers are healing a worthless group waiting to be farmed by everyone.

    How does that square with the Cyrodiil game mode which is designed for groups of 2 to 24 players, and was originally intended for large scale combat between groups of 8 to 24 players?

    It doesnt.

    Cyrodiil is and always was intended for large scale combat and group play. It deliberately favors the large, organized groups it was designed for.

    Its just a shame that the servers cant support that original vision anymore from the technical side.

    Loll... You are correct! I was thinking more of the reverse of what skills current skills do now (IE when your target is below 30% health this skill does 300% more damage) but not to the point it did nothing at all. Plus I was just giving a quick example off the top of my head.

    However my point still stands and that is that aoe heals and dps is way to strong in groups. I also realize that Cyrodiil is meant for large scale pvp and that is one thing I really like about it. But lowering the effectiveness of Aoe dps and heals depending on group size does not mean you can't group up like always... It just means you actually have aim and target people rather than spam one or two buttons for the win!!

    i dont want aoe nerfs at all, because that will effect the PVE as well. And i dont want rants from teh pve players. the only solution to fix this will be to reduce every aoe Effectivness in PVP zones(only) in ball groups for 50% (yes i said 50% like it or not)

    And btw i am not the only one whos got realy fustrated when it comes for these types of groups, everyone in Cyrodiil who had to face them all suffer from the same preforemance issues and frame dropps as well, and lags as well. The AD zone chat in Cyrdoiil is filled with swears, hatreds, fustartion, and so on towards ZOS, and the rest of the angers goes to teh ball groups becasue they are directly cousing performance, frame and latency issues with this actions.

    Don't defend them they know these facts quiet well. In time the same will go on in battle grounds as well :D how every not in that large number :D but the AOE stacking still an issue wich needs to be dealth with only in PVP enviroment.

    The thing about ball groups is except for a couple of the really top ones that are still left in this game, they move like lumbering hippos so you just have to be nimble and avoid the head of the group where the damage is focussed. Again if they aren't really on their game there are always a couple of fat kids who fall behind and you can cc away from their healers and kill quickly before the crown realises that they're down which can be rinsed and repeated until attrition wears them down. The trick to taking on a ball group is not taking it on head on or in a defensible position. A couple of vets with knowledge of how this play style works in or surfing a zerg can really mess them up (at least until their Earthgore's pop and a 2 piece set saves their day...). Zergs have so many more skills at their disposal than they used to have to take on the larger organised groups giving how much mobility has been stripped away during the course of the game.

    What ball groups are out there hunting these poor solo and small group players? Who are these monsters that bring their 16-20 person lag to the quiet countryside where an unsuspecting 3-4 person squad is subjected to their terrible lag? Normally, if a ball group is around doing ball group stuff in your area, it's because there's 50-60 of your faction mates nearby, and guess what; you're part of that zerg even if you're in your comfy OP high-skill small man group or you're a super cool 1vXing uber ganker.
    They aren't after you, but you're in the pack that they are after. And if you think it's their numbers that are hurting your performance, take a look at the numbers of the people they're fighting....yourself included.

    100% this, finally somebody said it.. ball groups hunt zergs..that's their only reason to play...there is no need to have 16 players in an organized group to go for low numbers since the AP gain and fun is close to 0.
    So if you want to get rid off ball groups go spread a little bit more (you have the whole map to play, not only ales-chal, brk-alessia, ash-roe), stop being a noobie sheep that follows the herd. That way ball groups can go back to small scale again..
