200 plus about 50 geodes split between 4 alts, I just destroy them now, I have no use for them and they just take up inv space at this point

I've transmuted pieces I don't really care about, just to be able to open geodes and get them out of inventory. I try to spread them around so multiple toons take the inventory space hit, and currently have 23 unopenable ones across 8 characters. Between trials, pledges, random dungeons and PvP, they've become something of a nuisance.

Wow, this thread is interesting. I recall people being so upset with ZoS because the drop rate was too low and everyone was calling it "yet another grind".

Now everyone seems to have a tonne of them stored away and have transmuted every item in their inventory, lol.

Yup, 30% of people have more than the 200 limit. I would say a nerf has to come at some point. By the time the new DLC lands I will have 900 or so stored up, so I can transmute the new sets entirely and still have leftovers.

Personally I would like to see the guaranteed 50 crystal geode require tier 3 PvP rewards rather than tier 1. It's still only 100k AP which is fairly easy to achieve and any real PvP player is going way over that anyway. It would just make it harder to earn it on all of my 8 characters.

As usual PvP screws PvE. Since in PvP there's a bug allowing to get too many geodes, we'll get PvE totally destroyed once again, along with the routine PvP nerf. We'll get like 1 geode per hm vAS run a week.

I had to stop PvP-ing for a while because my mail is clogged up with unopened RftW mails, until I open them all in turn. I do understand why ZoS is changing the drop rate to one geode per account per day. For people who actively PvP those have become literally junk at this point.

I PvE and PvP, I don't go chasing for crystals and just upgrade gear where and when I can.

Not far just with coming patch, Reward of Worthy will have Transmutation Geode once a day per account.

Have to keep lots of these unopened geodes in my inventory because of this stupid cap.
I get this need to transmute stuff in phases, every now and then need to transmute more than 4 things at once, if i make a new build etc. Sucks to be forced to transmute regularly by this stupid cap, so the only option around this is stuffing my inventory with unopened geodes... why ZOS?

You can do 20K+ AP just zerg riding in PvP, from the capture ticks and healing even if you don't kill any players. That's a RftW mail, which contains between 4-20 crystals with an average of 5. Right now you get a crystal for each mail, provided you open it on different character and you haven't opened one in the last 20 hours on the same character. If you said you are casual, that means you have probably just one character, and play for a few hours a week. But you can still get ~5 per day, with minimal effort. Also bear in mind if you are playing a 30 day campaign you will also get a geode with 50 crystals at the end of the campaign, meaning the average will be more like 7 a day.

Right now people with multiple characters, who PvP a lot, just like me, can potentially open 14 RwtW mails per day, for an average of ~70 crystals. That's clearly not intended. They will change it next patch, but for people with few characters, that play only a little, such as you, things won't change at all.
