...I think a campaign with literally zero vet players in it would just be a bunch of people trying really hard to kill NPCs and dying a bunch.

There are a variety of ways to reroll that I think are inherently silly, but I stopped telling people how to have fun a while ago.

Believe it or not, I've almost put enough time into non-vet that i have vet finally but i will always love non-vet because i've had more memorable moments and good times there than any other campaign. I re-rolled in blackwater so many times just because that's where i met my guild so if they ever implemented a way to prevent accounts from re-joining, i think a lot of people would miss out on the same experiences myself and many others did/still do. This campaign has been more about community than any other.

On the idea of locking people out of Kyne once their account hits CP160, I don't know that it would actually prevent re-rollers from playing in Kyne. Since you don't actually gain CP playing in Kyne or leveling a character for Kyne, it would be really easy to stay under 160 CP. Hell, I'm only in the 200s, and that's mostly because I grinded up to 160 shortly before they removed vet ranks. If somebody wanted to spend an eternity in Kyne, they could just create a new account (assuming they are already at 160CP) and never use a character after it vets out. If anything, I think the type of person who just want to beat up on inexperienced players would be more likely to do this, while the type of person who actually wants to help new players may be more inclined to just stay out of Kyne.

@Lumsdenml , people who don't play this campaign act like it's some awful thing that more experienced players are in there. I tend not to want to do organized groups of experienced players in vet because I think that's pretty cheesy (like last night it took DC a full raid and 6+ siege to get us out of Chalman mine), but solo/duo players really aren't a huge issue. Right after we were rooted out of that mine I was whispered by a DC player who said they were glad that we were exposing them to better players and getting them ready for vet even though we aren't running proxy/destro groups, don't have earthgore, etc. I mean, for being accused by folks of running cheesy group comps two of our eight were literally running snipe gank builds.

For whatever "toxic" presence we may be to those who don't actually play the campaign I know that I made four sets of all purple gear for new players and chatted with all of those via voice or text regarding some basic ways to play their class. It's almost like some of us enjoy helping new players.

Oh, and I've spent over 100k gold since I've been back in Kyne buying horses for folks. But my real crime is having dawnbreaker on a character.

    This caught my attention:

With Update 17, we're introducing the new Level Up Advisor system and Skills Advisor tool. These new features help you make wiser, more engaging decisions about character advancement and provide you with suggestions on your character's build and use of gameplay mechanics.
With the Level Up Advisor, every time one of your characters gains a level, you will receive gameplay tips and useful rewards.
These rewards will include gold, crafting materials, and consumables, and certain key leveling milestones will even reward you with a new mount or a Crown Crate! With the Skills Advisor tool, you'll also be able to get more information on the many options available for your character's Skills, Abilities, and use of certain in-game mechanics. If you are new or unfamiliar with aspects of ESO's advancement system, these two additions will help give you a better understanding of the choices available to you as you level up your characters.

Oh, and I've spent over 100k gold since I've been back in Kyne buying horses for folks. But my real crime is having dawnbreaker on a character.

I can confirm, it was quite the effort to get that group out of the mine tower, although satisfying once done. It would have been kind of cheap though if DC didn't have both the numbers and some coordination within the group.
As it is, in Kyne I can do ok despite being both new to PvP and running gear that's blue and often 4-6 levels out of date; I can't imagine that's true in any of the vet campaigns. If my experiences in Kyne had been anything like my experiences in Vivec (on a CP ranked and geared character) I would have fled Cyrodiil as soon as I got the skills I was looking for.
Instead, I found a fun bunch of people to play with and figure out what's going on in Cyrodiil PvP.
I don't personally plan on rolling another character of the same spec when this one levels out, because I'd like to keep it more about learning for me, but it's no skin off my nose if someone keeps rerolling the same spec.

I have found a (very small) number of players that are rather overtuned for Kyne, but it's not a huge amount, and in my book, if they are willing to play alongside less skilled/experienced players and help with coordination/skills/teaching, it's all good. There are a few on another faction that I've almost exclusively encountered camping back-keep resources with only their core very skilled group present, and I've seen 1-2 in our zone chat ranting about the scrubbiness of DC players - I don't think either of those is particularly helpful considering the state of PvP in this game, but I don't see how to stop them. (And as posted above and as I've seen in other games, if someone wants to prey on the inexperienced, it's not hard/costly to get another account to do so). Letting the truly inexperienced flounder entirely on their own would just mean that they'd be in for a rude awakening in vet PvP and you'd lose a lot there. Restricting CP-ranked accounts to the vet PvP campaigns only would just mean that a lot of people just wouldn't start in PvP until their character was CP ranked.

Honestly, my problem in Kyne is not overturned players who are trying to play solo/duo/trio. It's when people are together in groups of 8-9 of competent, overgeared played. Frankly, my guild should not be able to require siege equal to group pop and a full raid to root out of a tower. It's unfair to new players for us to do that. Barring last night I haven't run a group or run with a group that size in probably six months to a year and I would welcome any correction on that. The largest I've run otherwise has just been three today.

When people run in large groups of experienced players that's when I feel like they're really just there to beat up on new players. I have friends who do this. I have opponents who do this. I don't begrudge their decision, but it's where I've drawn my personal line. By all means farm up meteor/dawnbreaker, level until you have rally and reverb, etc. but I don't personally really see the point or challenge of doing that in a group or guild. That said, there are definitely social factors that play into this and I don't begrudge those either.

I'll say that the fact that I'm getting asked to help farm normal asylum weapons is the most sad thing I've ever seen. I hope @ZOS_GinaBruno can pass the word up the grapevine so that new players don't have to suffer from next level twinks. That's ridiculous. Do you guys really need that stuff to farm pugs?

Agreed. And I would also agree that singles/duos etc don't really present the kind of imbalance that a large group of seasoned PvP players does. For me it comes down to intent. If the main reason someone is in Kyne is to learn (in general, or a class/spec that's new to them) or to help show newer players (whether completely new or new to PvP) I don't have too many issues with it. If they're there just because they can be the big fish in a little pond, whether via skills or gear noone else would likely run, that's kind of sad. But I can't read peoples minds as to why they're there so I'm not calling anyone out.
nAsylum weapons in Kyne is really really sad though. I have been running a mix of blue Julianos and whatever color it dropped at Bloodthorn and it seems to do well enough.

I'm actually fine with vet players running groups to educate new players - Pugz of Daggerfall did this for a while longer than GoNB did and I think they do a really good job. There doesn't seem to be a guild that actually has vet players educating new players in Kyne right now on any faction that I can see.

I stopped running groups of any decent size because I got tired of picking up and teaching new players and wanted to move our existing guild population to vet. Some folks didn't want to come and remained mostly as 2-4 man groups (4 once in a blue moon), most made the transition to vet. We've got a decent number of folks that go back through just to have fun on their way to assault 10 before they make that character a vet. For the most part our guild has finished up re-rolling in Kyne and I'm happy that we made that choice.

The good thing with next patch is we wont have to buy new players horses, it will come as a reward. I hope it's a reward they get at level 10 when they get the invite to Cyrodiil.

Yes they are gold and I know of several who are running gold gear because they've shown me.

I mean if you run the same gear setup over and over then to gold it out isn't bad, I guess. It's their gold and mats so...whatever. I wouldn't waste them for kyne myself but that's me.

I'd rather use them for vet toons or sell them. But they should have made asylum weaps only drop in cp160.

But thats sort of like when bwb was a cp camp. I assume they'll eventually fix it but who knows.
