All the had to do was cap block cost reduction at 40% or so. Instead they did 100 nerfs to ha.

If they capped block cost reduction at 40% we would have a lot of PVE-ers who are struggling at surviving bosses who deal 80k damage

Losing a bit of W/D in exchange for greater sustain is a buff, not a nerf, surely?

This is untrue they simply removing wrath and spliting mending into two passives from one.

Could you elaborate? Why would they split mending into 2 separate passives? 1 for stam and 1 for mag? That seems a little pointless if they aren't adding anything else to it, as it'll just require an extra couple of Skill points, which are abundant anyway.

This is a good change. Heavy needs to be about survivability, medium for damage. There needs to be trade offs. Heavy will still be very powerful next patch.

They just heavy nerfed block costs on morrowind.

Considering that the Wrath passive outperformed the medium armour weapon damage passive until you had something like 2.3k natural weapon damage, I am perfectly fine with it going.

There should be a trade off between going tanku and going for damage. Yes sets like 7th legion and Fury still exist, and yes they will still be strong, but that extra 200 weapon damage will make a difference.

Might as well tank in light or medium depending if your a magicka or stamina tank both have better sustain and much higher damage. Tankiness comes from blocking not armour.

Blocking the ice bomb from the Bone Colossus in vFH on my MagNB DPS in Light Armor and 19k hp, 70% health gone.

Blocking the ice bomb from the Bone Colossus in vFH on my MagSorc tank in Heavy Armor and 26k hp, 10% health gone.

Tankiness also comes from responsible resource management. You can't block anything if you run out of stamina, or provide a lot of utility without magicka. Heavy armor helps through the heavy attack passive and through getting hit.

yeah, but you can't design a game around the small elite who are that good.

Ok, let me make sure i am understanding this... They are removing something that gives you 200 SP/WP. And there going to be adding a thing that grants more Regen on heavy attacks when we are already having issues with Tanks surviving a nuke and having a Crap ton of survival... Am i missing something ?

The problem is not heavy armor no matter how much you cry babies whine about it. The problem is the simple fact that light and medium armor do not offer sufficient benefits to out weigh the lack of defense in pvp and no amount of nerfing heavy armor will change that.

The truly laughable part is that getting rid of the wrath passive won't change a thing. Wrath only becomes useful if you can fully stack it and the only players who have any chance of making to max stack and still be alive are permablock tanks and guess what folks, people who build for permablock do jack all for damage even with wrath at max stack.

    ^ya, this.

LOL like you needed to be a genius to know it. Though thats not this guys fault, he cant help it if he (with the exception of me of course) is surrounded by fools.

Wrath gone and spreading one passives into two? I am quiting so wont bother but someone should gather the last years worth of HA nerfs into a pile it's staggering.

For the record i played a ha nb for the Shadow Knight feels played this way since launch but it's always been a challenge in pvp but doable. It's pointless to continue to my niche style will never be doable again in this game.

    ermmmmm.. adapt?

i said months ago in the fourms that all that needs to happen is make each armour skill ( annulment, immoveable, shuffle) only avaliable with 5pc of that type of armour, which rhey are now doing. PERFECT.
HA should not be able to have maxed out resistances AND a dodge chance.
BUT, let them still have wrath.

Didn't catch ESO live but is it being replaced by something that's a lot more useful for tanks? Better sustain, mitigation, block cost reduction?

I'd be pretty happy if they reverted the constitution nerf from Morrowind.

Who cares when you have sets like Fury, Ravager, Seventh Legion and Armor of Truth? Like literally, who cares? Plus I bet that they will replace the passive with a new more tank centered passive. So yeah, losing 200 weapon damage might suck a little bit, but with all the insanely strong sets and the rest of the strong passives, Heavy Armor isn't going to die easily.

That's all Stam oriented, I agree those that run those won't be affected much. Everyone else though will be.

So you'll see more of what you listed + more light armor.

    Less diversity

So you're saying heavy armor magicka builds won't be viable just because they are missing 200 spell damage? Not going to happen

Gina just said on ESO live they are removing the wrath passive next update.

HA has been nerfed every patch since Dark brotherhood.

Light and Medium will now be best for all roles and situations and Heavy is back to being useless.

Heavy only has slightly more resistances than medium without evasion, dodge, damage, reduction, recovery. Light armour has damage, cost reduction/recovery, penetration and a shield (s).

Ha has never been OP, certain sets have been and the main thing that caused hard to kill builds was players going all out in block cost reduction.

so glad i quit this game.
