Yes, new characters can do that quest. The dialogue is different if you do it after the Vvardenfell story.

Great, and if that actually happened there wouldn't be a problem. But now that both quests are giving skill points, they'll have to change those original plans, otherwise they'll have to remove skill points from characters who have already got them both.

In the thread about this on PTS (or maybe closed beta forum), I even tagged @ZOS_ZebCook, who made the comment on ESO Live that "they already got their skill point". Still nothing.

Apparently we do need other threads cause it's been approx 2 months since it was reported on PTS and no change cause.....ZOS has a huge pit of problems, yet they're now focused on the next dungeon dlc.

Does the quest where you go and save the prisoners off the firemoth island grant a skill point? (obtain it from a quest in seyda neen)

^ That quest is a longer quest btw, and has you do some things prior. Haven't yet checked to see if my warden can complete it or if it's exclusive to pre-morrowind created characters.

No, it doesn't grant a skill point. New characters can complete it only if they skipped the tutorial.

Your view is *** tho. Why would I reroll a character with 330 plus skill points and 22k achievement points? Clearly your view is so narrow minded and it falls under a "doesn't affect my playstyle so doesn't matter" I hate your kind of view in fact and the bait you set up is pretty effective if you ask me. I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion but really?

Not that. New characters who skip the tutorial can also do thst quest, and they will have already got the extra skill point. That would give them another extra skill point.

I was more thinking in having that quest give different rewards depending on "skipped tutorial morrowind character" or "existing old character", but it would be just as easy to add something else I guess...

Im sure someone has said this before me. I just did not take the time to read through all this post. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but old characters played through or skipped the coldharbor tutorial before morrowind got a skill point ya? Now the new "chapter" lol.... has a new tutorial that does the same thing ya? so how exactly is a skill point being lost here?

Also, isnt there enough to complain about besides 1 of literally over a thousand skill points.. Im at the point where I have skill points left over after maxing crafting, maxing all the skills i will use max almost all my guild/world/whatever.. still skill points left over. 397/399(this is 132 skill points by itself) skyshards found(damn you EP And AD I will get these two eventually-its all about timing)

Read the op. You can skip or do the morrowind tutorial and get a skillpoint. You can then do the coldharbour tutorial for another skillpoint. Players that creates their characters before owning morrowind cannot do morrowind's tutorial and so miss out on a skillpoint

1 SP is a BIG deal? Are you serious?

How about last of the Mage Guild quest? If you choose a book (and not save Valaste) you would get 2 SPs and zero if save her (if nothing has changed here since release)

A choice players have, which is even clearly explained in the dialog.
While i tend to be against the way they handled that quest, it is a different matter than this, where any character created before morrowind is out a point.
