I highly doubt your going to see many destro magebladed next patch probably not going see mag blades at all next patch.NightbladeMechanics wrote: »Very concerned about eclipse being unbreakable. You can make the game friendly to new and casual players without outright removing counterplay.
Keep in mind that destro mageblade is 100% reflectable. This eclipse change is a direct shot at one of pvp's weakest classes.

Good job! But there is no Warrior class in this game, DK - is a fire/earth mage. Warriors don't use elemental or supernatural forces.@ZOS_GinaBruno These nerfs to resources and class perks are the wrong direction, IMO. Rather than homogenizing everything,
they should celebrate differences and balance their combat viability. For example:
Here I gave each class a 3:2 ratio of lethality:survivability, while keeping sustain the same for everyone. In a real scenario I would suggest the golden ratio. This is to keep fights offensive for everyone (since that's the way they end), without the need to nerf sustain or heals for them not to drag on forever.
While these do not represent effective stats, this is an illustration to show that there are other ways to balance each class. The offensive stats are for the class skills' overall power, range, and speed (how quickly they can be cast and weaved), with each character getting 100, 75, and 50. The defensive stats represent the classes skills or passives that aid in defense (Shields and resistance buffs), CC, and mobility (either passive or active gap closers/retreats), with each character getting 75, 50, and 25 for each.
I based these stats off parent archetypes for virtually every RPG: Warrior (DK); Mage (Sorc); Assassin (NB); Cleric (Templar); and Ranger (Warden). While each perk would need to be effectively weighted, I believe having a goal/framework to aim towards would help balancing and tuning individual classes without mucking up everything. This would also help utilize each of their strengths when building their skills lines, which I also think should be reworked.
We're seeing nerfs to classes like the Templar to encourage people to heal with other classes, when it's so obvious that each class should have a skill line for each role (being 3 trees and 3 roles). It would be really fun to rework:
For Damage Dealing: Ardent Flame, Dawn's Wrath, Storm Calling, Assassination, and Animal Companions.
For healing: Earthen Heart, Restoring Aura, Daedric Summoning, Siphoning, and Green Balance.
For Tanking: Draconic Power, Aedric Spear, Dark Magic, Shadow, and Winter's Embrace.
In each, include skills that would be aimed for PVE and some for PVP, but keep everything supplementary to weapon skills which should be necessary to achieve the desired ultimate result.
Lastly, I included a Berserker because it was the last combination of 100,50,75 and 75,50,25 that seemed to fit perfectly and be missing as an archetype. It would be fun to see a class that has to carefully use incoming damage to get stronger.
Sorry this is so long. If you read this, let me know what you think. Thank you.
Ironic the class that everyone was complaining about being too powerful got indirectly buffed(sorc). No reductions in shield strength while healing was nerfed across the board. No nerf to dark deal when sustain was nerfed across the board. DKs get massively indirectly nerfed via changes from max percentages to base values not to mention effectively multiplying the cost to block by x2 which is a signature aspect of a dk's defense.
Sorcs need to be balanced to be in line with the changes to the other classes. I think that is fair to say. Currently sorcs are hardly effected by the sustain changes/healing changes.
I think it is obvious to most everyone that DKs need changes in order to compensate for the resource sustain changes. DK sustain was based on battle roar and helping hands now that they do not scale DKs need something else. A 10% reduction to flame lash cost isn't enough lmao. Yeah the idea of making sustain harder to achieve is a good one and I do think getting rid of percentage based sustain isn't necessarily bad but that said DK's sustain was based off of that type of sustain almost completely where as other classes still have abilities such as dark deal. I mean people were complaining about magdk sustain already before these changes.
I know it's killed my play time since the patch notes were released on the PTS.celner4_ESO wrote: »I wonder how many sales they've lost after the patch notes released. I know so many people who rage quit and aren’t playing after they saw the pts notes. Because even though its pts, they are highly doubtful zmax will listen to the fan base and the feedback they get. These are the same players who feel like more effort is put into running a flawless crown store then the actual game.
My general thoughts on class rebalance:
Stamina nightblade and stamina classes in general still have absolutely no chance to get into a serious end game trial for score. They just aren't viable.
PVE Tanks were really hurt by the DK major mending change for Igneous Shield. The buff is obviously gone immediately. This is a completely unnecessary change, even in PVP, when all the other changes that are happening this patch are taken into consideration.
Olupajmibanan wrote: »Is major mending change to DK that much of a deal for a stamDK?
Vigor is a buff-type hot, thus not scalling dynamically but is static and it's power and crit chance is decided at the moment of casting and kept for the whole duration.
So casting Igneous Shield and Vigor right after will ensure 5 seconds of a buffed Vigor by Major Mending, it doesn't matter if the shield is destroyed afterwards.
Or will the shield be destroyed even before casting Vigor?

Well, stamina was way over performing in PvP. You did a great job ZOS ! I'm so happy with those changes, currently I can't do much in PvP with my 238 cp mag sorc because every other class is so overpowered! Look at those stamina dk! Cyrodiil is so full of them! /lol
Wtf you guys are thinking? You really need to sell those s***ty wardens that much? Reducing sustain is OK but nerfing bone pirate/helping hands/battle roar AND getting away major mending?(yeah even a poison injection tick destroys that 2k shield,so it's like removing it). Any reason to keep playing a class who got EVERYTHING that made it special destroyed?

Stamblade will be deadly in PVP tho... They will be hitting about 15% harder....
Magicka sorc always has been and always will be overlords to the lesser classes.
Bow peasants.

Ridiculous. Wrobel nerfed Sorcs for 2 years straight while buffing NBs. Now they spent the last 6 months buffing DKs and Temps while still ignoring Sorcs except to cut our Overload ultimate in half! The only actual buffs we've seen since the game LAUNCHED have been to pets.... PETS!

Hi. You're wrong. PVP more.
Magplar is currently at the top due to heals and destro últ, to say nothing of javelin and flare.
Magsorc right behind with excellent defense (rotate shields with resource gain abilities and reduced ultimate cost.
Magicka rules PVP now. Complaints about stam in pvp are without merit, even if you get one-shot ganked.

You can drop your survivabilty and sustain to protect yourself against this. Your whole mission in pvp will be to dive on the eclipse for your group.

-Shields need to be crittable
-Bastion needs to be removed
-Pirate skeleton needs real nerfs
-Lich, Amberplasm, Synablade all need to be nerfed
-There needs to be a debuff to reduce shield effectiveness
These are all terrible suggestions, don't implement them. The only thing that really needs a nerf is Harness Magicka stacking with Hardened Ward.
