Oh no not Deltia if he is concerned then it must be something.....
I like the rational approach Alcast is taking now with a wait and see attitude, the rest of them need to go find their safe space.
I have never seen such hair pulling and teeth gnashing from supposedly grownup people....it's kinda pathetic.
Alcast seems a little more upset than you are indicating here. Just sayin'. His cussing faded into head shaking and speechlessness a number of times-lol
Deltia and Alcast sound to me like they are both upset about the same things. And both extremely vocal about it. Alcast just cusses more
Sypher has left it seems.
I'm not a huge fan of streamers. But they do have a very good handle on the mechanics of the game (and rightly so - it is their livelihood afterall). When the game is being so drastically altered that it makes these guys want to quit the game, then something is terribly wrong.

Give credit where credit is due.
This is getting ridiculous.
Getting?
This guy leaped over a Hysterical cliff and took the constant complainers with him. I think most rational people are now seeing that all the teeth gnashing is mostly people wanting to play Drama queen.
I watched this "Slap in da fac3" mock outrage for years in the WoW community and we can all see the state of that game now due to Blizzard actually listening to that crap.

I wanted to buy the expansion to find more things to do with my 3-year-old Templar. Instead ZOS wants us to roll a new P2W class with the capabilities ripped off Templars? NO.

Last time I checked, Legion has made WoW much more successful than the last expansions and brought a lot of the community back... and this happened when they listened to their community? Weird huh?
No. I am sticking around because even when I disagree with the changes ZOS makes this game is still an escape for me from my life. I enjoy the game for what it is, and I love the friendships I've formed because of it.Deltia is right, people who stick around here are doing nothing but feeding one greedy ass company and have nobody else to blame except themselves. Leave TESO and level up in real life instead of funding the developers lifestyles! They're nothing but a bunch of leaches who sugar coat the money grab with edgy CGI movies and the illusion of change for the greater good. The community has very little input as proved over these passed 3 years and all the devs want from you is for you to waste your time here until the next wave of cash purchases become available (cosmetics and lottery crates) with the hope you become hooked on them and then spend more real life $$$.
I'm not going to quit because of some balance changes when every other area of the game I enjoy is still amazing.
He and no one here has any right to tell or look down on people if they continue to play or invest into the game.
He's abusing his position by asking his fans to leave/unsub from the game (if it's true he's been pushing that).
People need to stop sheeping after streamers and think for themselves, judge for yourself if this game is worth your time and money and by your own standards. Don't do something just because of someone else's views if you're not willing to question those views yourself.
After all that if this game really isn't for you, then feel free to leave or unsub, but FFS make your own choices in life.

This dude is a foul mouthed DB....If he want's to make a difference there are more noble causes than dropping the F bomb every five seconds over a video game.
He could be saying anything in any tone with any language and you'd be hating on him.
Yeah because it's all about the hate...
I interact with several different ESO streamers a couple I completely disagree with, but they can present their argument in a non hysterical way.
You called him a "drama queen twitpilot," whatever that is, in the very first comment you posted in this thread. Your bias against him is obvious. In your case, yeah, it's about the hate.
Whatever dude, he's having a full PTSD melt down on line right now over a video game, I think the guy needs help and I'm not saying that to be a jerk. I can tell you're a fan and if you care about the guy you should be concerned with his well being.
What you fail to understand is that ESO is the livelihood for people like Deltia. It has consumed much of his life for 3 years. Everyday.
You personally are unlikely to ever show such committment or investment.
Deltia has done tremendous work for ZOS. So much in fact that ZOS devs get a twinkle in their eye when he has something to say.
The way you talk about him, anonymous on the internet, makes you look like more of a d-bag.
Do you know him personally?
Deltia is a big boy and I'm sure he could stand up for himself if he gave two craps about what ppl say on a forum.
I mean, you've prob never met this guy and you're standing up for a complete stranger on a message board.
Because I'm a rational human being who can comprehend where Deltia is coming fro..
Exactly.
Do we know him personally? No, but we know him through his writing. He is not writing a novel, his writing is more like technical writing and with that, yes, we can actually 'know' him. From everything I have read on his site he seems to be a well thought out kind of man.
I have recently returned to ESO and spent quite a bit of time reading the internet on different aspects of ESO and found @Deltia work to be top notch. His work is clear and concise and covers a lot of ESO without saying 'this is the only way'.
And before I get flamed with 'play the game to learn' the first thing most everyone says is 'go watch a video before you get in a group ~insert any puggable content here~ So people can't have it both ways /rant on that BS
Basicly this.
People dont want to admit their game is flawed.
No, I'm saying I don't put much into what some streamer has to say.
They are just entertainment.
It's like people who fixate on celebrities and follow everything they do and say. It in no way enhances your life in any meaningful way.
That's just my opinion. What you like to do with your time is your business and I have nothing against the guy personally.
But I see it for what it is - it's entertainment and what someone says shouldn't be what you base your judgement on.
I havent played Morrowind on PTS and I won't be able to try it out until it launches in June. I don't play ESO so I can reach some crazy endgame meta build. I play cause I enjoy the lore and the core content - PvP is just a plus to switch up the grind.
I'll make my own decisions on how well or how bad the game is when I get to play it. Not beforehand just because someone melts after reading patch notes on a patch that hasn't gone live and can and will be changed and tweaked.
...Your opinion fails to factor in how much these guys play, observe the balance of the game and their knowledge of it. They -have- to be, their livelyhood depends on it if they make something like this a fulltime job.
So you're saying his livelihood is being effected by a patch?
I don't see anything in the patch notes that states Deltia can't continue to stream ESO and give people ideas for builds.
Let me also add that, again, it's still entertainment. Hes just fortunate that people are willing to donate and pay money for an opinion. That's all that it is - one man's opinion on a video game in video format for the masses to digest. It's not an absolute truth by any means that effects anyone in any way.
Well apparently he didn't like the game for the last year and has realised his an addict, so it wasn't the patch which he disliked but the game?ThatAlaskanDude wrote: »Damn. You know ZOS did something wrong when even Deltia cancels his subscription.
Well if nothing else he's made sure the moderators are working for their paycheck today.
was that the 3rd or 4th new thread which just got locked and removed?
sneakymitchell wrote: »@Alcast just adept to the game. We had been doing for a long time. And also this game needs more decision making and more trying to manage resources. It's the right step to it but we still need to see on PTS if the change is so dramatic or not.

Indeed. I don't get this mentality of saying just adapt. Seriously, are you people devoid of any ideals of quality? I know our feedback will often fall on deaf ears, but if we remain quiet, nothing will happen for 100%.sneakymitchell wrote: »@Alcast just adept to the game. We had been doing for a long time. It's not about adapting. Players always adapt no matter what. They have and they will. The issue is how Zos rolls out these changes and their reasons behind them.
If they (ZOS) keeps up their current strategy for the game, I wouldn't be surprised if other well known streamers decides to pull the plug as well.

I was lost when I started this game when I came out, he and his site helped me the most, yes others might have a better build but he sure does have a lot of good info on many subject as well on playing the game

Deltia really is the best for new players. Very easy to digest. Very comfortable to watch. His site is also well done.
Alcast has an great site now, but isn't as charming in videos. I really like Alcast when he is annoyed though, like in a recent video about patch notes.
Of course, true hardcore ESO elites only watch Kevduit.
So where is Kevduit's rant video? I watch his stuff when I need a laugh, and I could see him making a humorous take on all this.

The reason he quit ESO is the same reason I quit ARK. You end up funneling boatloads of time to get the things you need to get the things you actually want. In the end you get screwed over by RNG and if you didn't have any fun in the process you're basically feeding an addiction and getting nothing out of it. The amount of time investment required in many games now is almost harmful any way you slice it. And you never get that time back.
What you don't seem to understand is many players have read the patch notes and applied them to their variety of tools to adjust for the possible changes.Peekachu99 wrote: »DPS is going to go up, for those folks who can invest all their CP.
