Oh well maybe this is what happens when the few speak for the many, oh well it is just a game I have closet full of boxes and a digital library full of games I used to play and when the game get to that point it will be just another addition the pile of games I used to play. ESO really is not a pvp centric game like all Elder Scrolls games it is about the world and the stories struggles of the different factions if pvp is what you really want this may not be the game for you there are a lot of game out there that are more pvp centric.

Playing mmo's over the years there are always changes, you have to adapt to new game mechanics or just not play them, this is not like a stand alone game where nothing ever changes, and when the game gets to a point or they make changes you don't like or unable or unwilling to adapt to time to move on, I am huge fan of Elder Scrolls and ESO but would have no problem putting them down when that day comes.

Yes they do and it isn't the handful of constant complainers and forum drama queens nor is it fouled mouthed YouTube heroes that shovel food in their mouth while going on a trigger rant.

It's the other 99% of their customers that don't go over a hysterical cliff every time something pops up they don't necessarily agree with.

I've said this before, and I wish no one to ever leave this game because I want it to have a good community, even when I disagree with them.

If you're looking for a competitive online game, ESO is not and will never be for you. There are far better balanced and created games for that content. ZOS made a choice to work towards story telling and questing as their main thing back with Thieves Guild.

I don't agree with all the changes made, but I will just get on with enjoying what's good in the game and it for what it is. When I want something the game isn't I find that elsewhere.

So, would you still pay real money to purchase something you don't agree with? Especially, with something as with being nerfed that lowers your enjoyment with such character(s)?

The nerfs are free. They cost nothing. They are part of the base game patch.

You pay money for access to the Morrowind zones and the warden class.

While I am not in favor of chasing the balancing white whale, as it disrupts things and people still aren't happy after the fact, people are being very presumptuous in claiming warden is OP. The nerfs to other classes have nothing to do with a goal of making warden OP because they don't need to nerf anything to make warden OP. They can just give it OP skills. They know people don't like nerfs, so if they did it, it was because they thought it would make gameplay better. It remains to be seen if they are correct.

    Who is Deltia?

I was lost when I started this game when I came out, he and his site helped me the most, yes others might have a better build but he sure does have a lot of good info on many subject as well on playing the game

    http://deltiasgaming.com/

Deltia really is the best for new players. Very easy to digest. Very comfortable to watch. His site is also well done.

Alcast has an great site now, but isn't as charming in videos. I really like Alcast when he is annoyed though, like in a recent video about patch notes.

Of course, true hardcore ESO elites only watch Kevduit.

So where is Kevduit's rant video? I watch his stuff when I need a laugh, and I could see him making a humorous take on all this.

He's absolutely wrong, about the devs btw. They dont lisen even if you are positive. If they want it to stay in the game, it stays. The only way to make them change their minds now is hurting their bottom line.

I am not concerned about them not listening to the players enough. I am more concerned about them listening to the players too much. I want them to have a vision, and execute on that vision. I would also like that vision to be the same vision each time they execute on it. If player suggestions align with that vision, I want them to take those suggestions. If the player is suggesting something that they think improves the game, but conflicts with the vision, I want ZOS to ignore it.

My interpretation of the most recent class changes is that they have decided that they lost their way and are returning to their vision. Through incremental changes, they have drifted. This is a course correction back to their vision.

Right now, I do not honestly believe that they are trying to make Warden an OP, must have, class in order to sell copies of Morrowind. I expect that the role of Warden, in terms of sales, rests in the special effects unique to the class, not how the skills perform relative to the other classes. For balance, I would be working really hard to make sure that the Warden was able to compete with the other classes so that people who buy Morrowind do not feel like they got ripped off, while making sure that the new class is not OP. It is a very narrow path, one that is complicated by the whole "pillar" thing that is impacting the other classes on top of the class balancing that is going on.

Alcast seems a little more upset than you are indicating here. Just sayin'. His cussing faded into head shaking and speechlessness a number of times-lol
Deltia and Alcast sound to me like they are both upset about the same things. And both extremely vocal about it. Alcast just cusses more ;)

    Okay.

If the idea didn't change every two or three months I'd be alot more perceptive, as it stands, their just rocking the boat for no reason. Lets design the game around DPS timers then nerf your ability to DPS.

Sypher has left it seems. Now Deltia.

I'm not a huge fan of streamers. But they do have a very good handle on the mechanics of the game (and rightly so - it is their livelihood afterall). When the game is being so drastically altered that it makes these guys want to quit the game, then something is terribly wrong.
I'm not a huge fan of Deltia but I watched the above and I have to say that what he says makes a LOT of sense. I'm cancelling my sub and avoiding the game for the forseeable future. I'm not paying another cent to ZoS, for them to turn around and literally destroy my characters that I've spent YEARS creating and refining.

@ZoS - get your priorities straight. Stop alienating your playerbase and instead LISTEN to them. But you won't, will you? You just want the money. :( *sigh*

Be positive, warden is fun and new, why not embrace it? You never know till you try it.
The game is fun to play for any class, if some players want to leave it's their loss or gain. Doesn't effect anything really.
Once they leave, I'll unsubscribe their channels for sure, negativity is draining.
I play the game for fun, not for negativities.

What? There are a handful of dps timer mechanics in the PVE side of the game. RoM. Maybe the Swords in a Trial? That's it. VMA can be done with tank in Bahraha's/ Leeching while swinging heavy attacks and popping a shield, so it's not even a necessity there.

There's also a much more informative post on Reddit, too, where someone has shown that the spread and weighted distribution of the new CP will actually INCREASE base dps, even while factoring in the lower sustain.

DPS is going to go up, for those folks who can invest all their CP. It takes a few minutes to either read the patch notes, or to investigate baseless presumptions before assuming they're true, and people really need to start doing the latter because so many of you are being ridiculous. It's really embarassing for grown adults (I'm assuming) to be having these kind of tantrums. I've been guilty of this kind of behavior before, and that means that it's time for me to step away from whatever (suposedly fun) activity has subverted my pleasantness and civilty and turned me into a frothing idiot.

P.S. MMORPGs change the meta constantly. WoW reinvents itself with each expansion, and on a much grander scale than what ZoS is doing. I'm wondering how many MMORPGs many of you have actually played before.

Alcast seems to generally liked the CP changes. If I remember correctly, Alcast also didn't focus on Warden making other classes obsolete. He clearly didn't like the basing numbers on level and many of the nerfs. He also was very clear that we should not assume that the exact changes now would be what we see in June.

Deltia on the other hand is claiming all the classes can't compete now with warden, which seems like premature speculation.

By he way: Deltia just confirmed in another Patreon post that he won't do ESO content creation past Morrowind and move on to other titles like Destiny 2, maybe Dark Souls etc. Definitely sad but he explained his reasoning and a lot of us owe a lot to him since he helped so many players with the game, builds, tactics etc. and is without a doubt the most well known and popular ESO player. Give credit where credit is due.

I haven't played any other MMORPGs (beyond about 10 minute trials to see I didn't enjoy them), and I doubt I would play any after this unless another IP I really like launch one. I am not an MMO player, but I enjoy this a lot because it is TES. I do get frustrated about the constant unnecessary changes because people don't seem any happier afterwards. I agree that the reactions here are over-the-top considering you can't know game balance on solely on paper. Yet, I don't care what "MMOs" do. I'm here to play ESO.

You personally are unlikely to ever show such committment or investment.

Deltia has done tremendous work for ZOS. So much in fact that ZOS devs get a twinkle in their eye when he has something to say.

The way you talk about him, anonymous on the internet, makes you look like more of a d-bag.

    Do you know him personally?

Deltia is a big boy and I'm sure he could stand up for himself if he gave two craps about what ppl say on a forum.

    Exactly.

Do we know him personally? No, but we know him through his writing. He is not writing a novel, his writing is more like technical writing and with that, yes, we can actually 'know' him. From everything I have read on his site he seems to be a well thought out kind of man.

I have recently returned to ESO and spent quite a bit of time reading the internet on different aspects of ESO and found @Deltia work to be top notch. His work is clear and concise and covers a lot of ESO without saying 'this is the only way'.

And before I get flamed with 'play the game to learn' the first thing most everyone says is 'go watch a video before you get in a group ~insert any puggable content here~ So people can't have it both ways /rant on that BS

    Basicly this.

People dont want to admit their game is flawed.

No, I'm saying I don't put much into what some streamer has to say.

    They are just entertainment.

It's like people who fixate on celebrities and follow everything they do and say. It in no way enhances your life in any meaningful way.

That's just my opinion. What you like to do with your time is your business and I have nothing against the guy personally.

But I see it for what it is - it's entertainment and what someone says shouldn't be what you base your judgement on.

I havent played Morrowind on PTS and I won't be able to try it out until it launches in June. I don't play ESO so I can reach some crazy endgame meta build. I play cause I enjoy the lore and the core content - PvP is just a plus to switch up the grind.

I'll make my own decisions on how well or how bad the game is when I get to play it. Not beforehand just because someone melts after reading patch notes on a patch that hasn't gone live and can and will be changed and tweaked.

Not beforehand just because someone melts after reading patch notes on a patch that hasn't gone live and can and will be changed and tweaked.

...Your opinion fails to factor in how much these guys play, observe the balance of the game and their knowledge of it. They -have- to be, their livelyhood depends on it if they make something like this a fulltime job.

So you're saying his livelihood is being effected by a patch?

I don't see anything in the patch notes that states Deltia can't continue to streams ESO and give people ideas for builds.
I think they might mean if a lot of his subs quit because of the patch, it hits his livelihood.

By the way: Deltia just confirmed in another Patreon post that he won't do ESO content creation past Morrowind and move on to other titles like Destiny 2, maybe Dark Souls etc. Definitely sad but he explained his reasoning and a lot of us owe a lot to him since he helped so many players with the game, builds, tactics etc. and is without a doubt the most well known and popular ESO player. Give credit where credit is due.

    This is getting ridiculous. :|

    Getting?

This guy leaped over a Hysterical cliff and took the constant complainers with him. I think most rational people are now seeing that all the teeth gnashing is mostly people wanting to play Drama queen.

I watched this "Slap in da fac3" mock outrage for years in the WoW community and we can all see the state of that game now due to Blizzard actually listening to that crap.
I hear it's the best thing ever, they have Panda's.
