    Sypher has left it seems.

I'm not a huge fan of streamers. But they do have a very good handle on the mechanics of the game (and rightly so - it is their livelihood afterall). When the game is being so drastically altered that it makes these guys want to quit the game, then something is terribly wrong.

The referenced streamer is, to me, an entrepreneur, and as such it is appropriate for him to follow trends in popularity in order to grow. I do not follow this streamer. I do not look for this trait when looking at resources outside of the game.

I look for people who are passionate about the product, and specifically for people who are passionate enough that they won't be turning off the lights and moving on every time something doesn't go their way. To me, adaptability in the face of change is important. This is because that is what I want to do. I want to adapt, not rage quit. I want to be with the people who are also interested in adapting.

I don't think Deltia is leaving because he seems to be someone who is passionate about ESO. I see this driving his current raging against the patch changes. Eventually, what I want to see from someone like Deltia is reasoned analysis and a plan to leverage the changes. That probably won't happen until after the NDA is relaxed. If Deltia does not provide it, someone else will.

Morrowind is not making me go anywhere, and I am more interested in those who agree, than those who don't. Because I am not leaving, I am not interested in hyteria-driven drama, other than for entertainment purposes. Right now, it is time to start getting a clear, realistic, picture of what is changing, to advise ZOS on places where they might want to reconsider some changes, and, finally, adapt to whatever changes they decide to do.
If the idea didn't change every two or three months I'd be alot more perceptive, as it stands, their just rocking the boat for no reason. Lets design the game around DPS timers then nerf your ability to DPS.

I will agree with you, if you think they have not maintained a consistent vision. It sounds like they are interested in a return to deciding whether to have high DPS numbers or high resource recovery, rather than having both. I don't see this as rocking the boat for no reason. They have to balance the classes. They have to deal with easy mode combat. This is going to mean a general decrease in combat ability. I can get behind this, but it is going to be harder. We will see how much.

By the way: Deltia just confirmed in another Patreon post that he won't do ESO content creation past Morrowind and move on to other titles like Destiny 2, maybe Dark Souls etc. Definitely sad but he explained his reasoning and a lot of us owe a lot to him since he helped so many players with the game, builds, tactics etc. and is without a doubt the most well known and popular ESO player. Give credit where credit is due.

    This is getting ridiculous. :|

    Getting?

This guy leaped over a Hysterical cliff and took the constant complainers with him. I think most rational people are now seeing that all the teeth gnashing is mostly people wanting to play Drama queen.

I watched this "Slap in da fac3" mock outrage for years in the WoW community and we can all see the state of that game now due to Blizzard actually listening to that crap.

Oh no it's just ridiculous of which players are so called "quiting". In which they are not. No matter what if there are still updates those old players are still coming back. And to be honest players need to either not post on the forums anymore or just stop playing the game altogether. (But I likely doubt that one cause u play the game more"casual")

Last time I checked, Legion has made WoW much more successful than the last expansions and brought a lot of the community back... and this happened when they listened to their community? Weird huh?

@Alcast just adept to the game. We had been doing for a long time. And also this game needs more decision making and more trying to manage resources. It's the right step to it but we still need to see on PTS if the change is so dramatic or not.

Deltia is right, people who stick around here are doing nothing but feeding one greedy ass company and have nobody else to blame except themselves. Leave TESO and level up in real life instead of funding the developers lifestyles! They're nothing but a bunch of leaches who sugar coat the money grab with edgy CGI movies and the illusion of change for the greater good. The community has very little input as proved over these passed 3 years and all the devs want from you is for you to waste your time here until the next wave of cash purchases become available (cosmetics and lottery crates) with the hope you become hooked on them and then spend more real life $$$.
No. I am sticking around because even when I disagree with the changes ZOS makes this game is still an escape for me from my life. I enjoy the game for what it is, and I love the friendships I've formed because of it.
I'm not going to quit because of some balance changes when every other area of the game I enjoy is still amazing.

He and no one here has any right to tell or look down on people if they continue to play or invest into the game.
He's abusing his position by asking his fans to leave/unsub from the game (if it's true he's been pushing that).

People need to stop sheeping after streamers and think for themselves, judge for yourself if this game is worth your time and money and by your own standards. Don't do something just because of someone else's views if you're not willing to question those views yourself.

After all that if this game really isn't for you, then feel free to leave or unsub, but FFS make your own choices in life.

His comment was about `people that complain and whine and nag, and keep forking out issues. It's one thing to adress buggs, and keep redressing bugs. But the whining on the forum is absolutely out of hand. Then these people spend *** loads of money on shiny crown crates like its a crack addiction. Deltia called zos out on it for taking advantage of their customers, and players who want a win button and come here and moan about everyone elses class got called out on it.

Dude it you don't agree with the tension this update is causing then leave. Nobody is going to harass over your love of exploration. Not everyone else is like that.

    He's streaming about this now.

This dude is a foul mouthed DB....If he want's to make a difference there are more noble causes than dropping the F bomb every five seconds over a video game.

He could be saying anything in any tone with any language and you'd be hating on him.

Yeah because it's all about the hate...

I interact with several different ESO streamers a couple I completely disagree with, but they can present their argument in a non hysterical way.

You called him a "drama queen twitpilot," whatever that is, in the very first comment you posted in this thread. Your bias against him is obvious. In your case, yeah, it's about the hate.

Whatever dude, he's having a full PTSD melt down on line right now over a video game, I think the guy needs help and I'm not saying that to be a jerk. I can tell you're a fan and if you care about the guy you should be concerned with his well being.

What you fail to understand is that ESO is the livelihood for people like Deltia. It has consumed much of his life for 3 years. Everyday.

You personally are unlikely to ever show such committment or investment.

Deltia has done tremendous work for ZOS. So much in fact that ZOS devs get a twinkle in their eye when he has something to say.

The way you talk about him, anonymous on the internet, makes you look like more of a d-bag.

    Do you know him personally?

Deltia is a big boy and I'm sure he could stand up for himself if he gave two craps about what ppl say on a forum.

I mean, you've prob never met this guy and you're standing up for a complete stranger on a message board.

Because I'm a rational human being who can comprehend where Deltia is coming fro..

    Exactly.

Do we know him personally? No, but we know him through his writing. He is not writing a novel, his writing is more like technical writing and with that, yes, we can actually 'know' him. From everything I have read on his site he seems to be a well thought out kind of man.

I have recently returned to ESO and spent quite a bit of time reading the internet on different aspects of ESO and found @Deltia work to be top notch. His work is clear and concise and covers a lot of ESO without saying 'this is the only way'.

And before I get flamed with 'play the game to learn' the first thing most everyone says is 'go watch a video before you get in a group ~insert any puggable content here~ So people can't have it both ways /rant on that BS

    Basicly this.

People dont want to admit their game is flawed.

No, I'm saying I don't put much into what some streamer has to say.

    They are just entertainment.

It's like people who fixate on celebrities and follow everything they do and say. It in no way enhances your life in any meaningful way.

That's just my opinion. What you like to do with your time is your business and I have nothing against the guy personally.

But I see it for what it is - it's entertainment and what someone says shouldn't be what you base your judgement on.

I havent played Morrowind on PTS and I won't be able to try it out until it launches in June. I don't play ESO so I can reach some crazy endgame meta build. I play cause I enjoy the lore and the core content - PvP is just a plus to switch up the grind.

I'll make my own decisions on how well or how bad the game is when I get to play it. Not beforehand just because someone melts after reading patch notes on a patch that hasn't gone live and can and will be changed and tweaked.

...Your opinion fails to factor in how much these guys play, observe the balance of the game and their knowledge of it. They -have- to be, their livelyhood depends on it if they make something like this a fulltime job.

So you're saying his livelihood is being effected by a patch?

I don't see anything in the patch notes that states Deltia can't continue to stream ESO and give people ideas for builds.

Let me also add that, again, it's still entertainment. Hes just fortunate that people are willing to donate and pay money for an opinion. That's all that it is - one man's opinion on a video game in video format for the masses to digest. It's not an absolute truth by any means that effects anyone in any way.

    Thaaaaat's not what I'm saying.

I'm saying the dude is a theorycrafter, that's what they come to -see him- for. He has to be able to manipulate the system, exaserbated by the fact he's making money of it. If anyone should be actually considered when these sorts of things happen, it's Deltia, it's Alcast. These people know how to game the system, and can thus predict it's effects.

It's why people put alot of emphasis on these people, is what i'm attempting to say. It's not because they stream, it's because they have more understanding of the mechanics and system than most do.

@Alcast I dont mind if it's worded the wrong way but hey at least having large amount of stam or magicka pool u can still hold quiet a bit of it. That's the only upside u can have. U see I like pros and cons in every build. Even if u got rid of the % on resources I don't mind. If u can still have almost full resources when using a pot and also little more heavy attacking u wouldn't have resource problems. I see in every build is that they mostly light attack just to proc enchantments or the bow passive. And the redguard nerf was a good thing. Substain forever on redguard is just ridiculous in my opinion. I don't know about damage shields maybe u will see a lot less having it up 100% of the time. Just using it in hard hitting situations.

Damn. You know ZOS did something wrong when even Deltia cancels his subscription.
Well apparently he didn't like the game for the last year and has realised his an addict, so it wasn't the patch which he disliked but the game?

Indeed. I don't get this mentality of saying just adapt. Seriously, are you people devoid of any ideals of quality? I know our feedback will often fall on deaf ears, but if we remain quiet, nothing will happen for 100%.

    It's a cycle.

These guys are huge now, and if they leave and never come back, someone else will take over with build videos and such.

It's not that a big of a deal really. A lot of their builds they didn't even come up with - they borrowed them from others.

I agree lol, who cares if some famous gamer is leaving. Famous gamers are often snooty anyway.
    Toon list:
    PC NA:
Chip Ahoy: Magicka Templar khajiit WW healer and crafter of metals, clothes, leather and wood
Rose Scale: Magicka Nightblade argonian WW DPS and 'evil' toon (steals stuff from barrels)
Snip Ahoy: Stamina Dragonknight khajiit WW tank
Walks-Through-Corn: Magicka Templar argonian Vampire tank and also cooks food
Snowy Kitten: Magicka Sorcerer khajiit WW healer and also makes glyphs
Valerie Ahoy: Stamina Nightblade khajiit WW DPS/tank
Mixes-With-Mud: Stamina Warden khajiit WW DPS and also mixes potions
    Tyrenan: Magicka Warden khajiit healer
Always-Brings-Light: Magicka Dragonknight argonian WW DPS
Howls-At-Moons: Stamina Warden argonian WW healer
Giggles-At-Everything: Stamina Sorc argonian WW DPS
Hugger-Of-Griffons: Stamina DK argonian WW poison focused DPS and ring/necklace crafter.

Wishlist from ZOS: Chestnut Unicorn mount and the Lilmothiit race, would definitely pay 10K crowns or even 20K crowns for it.

I was lost when I started this game when I came out, he and his site helped me the most, yes others might have a better build but he sure does have a lot of good info on many subject as well on playing the game

    http://deltiasgaming.com/

Deltia really is the best for new players. Very easy to digest. Very comfortable to watch. His site is also well done.

Alcast has an great site now, but isn't as charming in videos. I really like Alcast when he is annoyed though, like in a recent video about patch notes.

Of course, true hardcore ESO elites only watch Kevduit.

So where is Kevduit's rant video? I watch his stuff when I need a laugh, and I could see him making a humorous take on all this.

@rotaugen454 last I heard, Kevduit is learning to 'git gud' in YouTube (aka.. waiting for better internet) Tho I believe he just mentioned he wouldn't be streaming until he got better internet.... Yeah I could use a humourous patch notes reading from him lol
