I know and have seen that it can be done so differently. I'll give you an example of the Warhammer Online private server "Return of Reckoning". The way these 'volunteer' devs are managing the game is worthy of big praise. People who are actually playing the game, balancing it from a player's pov. And they do it with vision and with consistency. Simply looking at what is blatantly over/underperforming AND FIXING IT. It can be done. Robust and radical changes will never lead to quality. It only tells you ZOS has no clue whatsoever about what they want with their game.

    Exactly.

Several, small, incremental changes to JUST the things that need tweaking will always be more productive and effective than broad, sweeping changes to everything.

ZoS don't yet seem to understand that, or how it can be done.

If you dont like the changes only way devs will listen is to cancel your sub, get a refund for morrowing.

We can get refunds for Morrowind? I didn't think it was possible?

Deltia is right, people who stick around here are doing nothing but feeding one greedy ass company and have nobody else to blame except themselves. Leave TESO and level up in real life instead of funding the developers lifestyles! They're nothing but a bunch of leaches who sugar coat the money grab with edgy CGI movies and the illusion of change for the greater good. The community has very little input as proved over these passed 3 years and all the devs want from you is for you to waste your time here until the next wave of cash purchases become available (cosmetics and lottery crates) with the hope you become hooked on them and then spend more real life $$$.

Then why are you here  I for one enjoy playing ESO after a hard days work, helps me unwind. All the doomsayers should go and do some testing to see what the changes have done and after all anything on the pts is not set in stone until the final patch.

    Some people don't understand it.

This guy and others streamers went to their HQ to talk about all the changes coming with Morrowind, to help them balance they asked for feedback and those people went there, wasted their time trying to balance for nothing they didn't listen a single advice from them...

And these streamers/youtubers who are mostly relatively naive kids got told at the time it was a marketing exercise.

So, there are pro-Deltia supporters and non-supporters. Deltia, you should run for some kind of office. Ha ha. You've already gained some pseudo-political or game celebrity status. Despite what are being said, any reviews (good or bad) from anyone can make an impact for the better or worst. It's about getting your voice heard.

Usually, before purchasing any new game or dlc, I'll check out the reviews first, then if it's from a good named company, I'll test it out myself; actually play it and get the feel for myself if I like the game or not. Don't really need anyone, doesn't matter who you are, to tell me not to play something or to support/not support something. I'll do that on my terms and accord, after making my own assessment. I'll make my own assessment on Morrowind on whether I will purchase it or not. However, reviews from others do help, but you can't really make a fair review on it yet, since it hasn't even been released yet. So, let's see what people will be saying after playing it and posting about it, after release.

Deltia is not quitting the game. He just is having a rage moment because his favorite class is getting nerfed. He is human after all, he is allowed to act like a normal person would act. His actions are no different than a dozen or so other people who do the exact same thing every single time Zo$ changes something and they rush t the forums to announce they are quitting the game.

If he was truely quitting, he would just do it and not tell anyone. Did Sypher ever announce he is quitting? King Richard? Lefty? Not to my knowledge, they just quitting caring and moved on to something that they cared about. Deltia obviously didn't do that. Let the poor Templar grieve and work the rage out of his system like we all do when our class gets nerfed. Soon he will be back making builds that all you guys will copy and paste.

    The center cannot hold.

It's entirely possible he'll go to Swtor, or another game, find he likes it better and drop off the map for a few months. Many do.

    He's streaming about this now.

This dude is a foul mouthed DB....If he want's to make a difference there are more noble causes than dropping the F bomb every five seconds over a video game.

He could be saying anything in any tone with any language and you'd be hating on him.

Yeah because it's all about the hate...

I interact with several different ESO streamers a couple I completely disagree with, but they can present their argument in a non hysterical way.

You called him a "drama queen twitpilot," whatever that is, in the very first comment you posted in this thread. Your bias against him is obvious. In your case, yeah, it's about the hate.

Whatever dude, he's having a full PTSD melt down on line right now over a video game, I think the guy needs help and I'm not saying that to be a jerk. I can tell you're a fan and if you care about the guy you should be concerned with his well being.

What you fail to understand is that ESO is the livelihood for people like Deltia. It has consumed much of his life for 3 years. Everyday.

You personally are unlikely to ever show such committment or investment.

Deltia has done tremendous work for ZOS. So much in fact that ZOS devs get a twinkle in their eye when he has something to say.

The way you talk about him, anonymous on the internet, makes you look like more of a d-bag.

    Do you know him personally?

Deltia is a big boy and I'm sure he could stand up for himself if he gave two craps about what ppl say on a forum.

I mean, you've prob never met this guy and you're standing up for a complete stranger on a message board.

Because I'm a rational human being who can comprehend where Deltia is coming fro..

    Exactly.

Do we know him personally? No, but we know him through his writing. He is not writing a novel, his writing is more like technical writing and with that, yes, we can actually 'know' him. From everything I have read on his site he seems to be a well thought out kind of man.

I have recently returned to ESO and spent quite a bit of time reading the internet on different aspects of ESO and found @Deltia work to be top notch. His work is clear and concise and covers a lot of ESO without saying 'this is the only way'.

And before I get flamed with 'play the game to learn' the first thing most everyone says is 'go watch a video before you get in a group ~insert any puggable content here~ So people can't have it both ways /rant on that BS

If ZOS really wants to "shake up the meta," you don't have to do that by nerfing iconic class skills to the ground. The current meta was caused by the champion system and removal of softcaps. Removing CP and putting some type of caps on attributes would be the best way to shake things up.

If you just limited the effect resource pools had on damage/heals/shields, you could get rid of battle spirit and that would really open the game up to some unique builds.

Yeah; I think this irks me most as I could see it coming from all the complaining about permablock, infinitanks, instant heal to fulls, and builds stacked so high in offense with no sustain because they didn't need it giving them an instant kill. You just didn't have that as much in non-CP yet here we are.

Essentially; it seems like what they are doing when they say "This is a nerf if you are above X in stat y, a buff if you are below X; but its a half assed way of doing it and is not clean nor even.

ESO is very flawed and has been since I was in alpha and beta testing. They fixed a lot but still have miles to go >.<

ESO is a massive game IMO and trying to learn it without the help of people like @Deltia is hard and you can easily end up with characters that are screwed up enough that they become mules and you feel like you have to start all over again

    OR

You end up missing out on some of the best that ESO has to offer.

No. I am sticking around because even when I disagree with the changes ZOS makes this game is still an escape for me from my life. I enjoy the game for what it is, and I love the friendships I've formed because of it.
I'm not going to quit because of some balance changes when every other area of the game I enjoy is still amazing.

He and no one here has any right to tell or look down on people if they continue to play or invest into the game.
He's abusing his position by asking his fans to leave/unsub from the game (if it's true he's been pushing that).

People need to stop sheeping after streamers and think for themselves, judge for yourself if this game is worth your time and money and by your own standards. Don't do something just because of someone else's views if you're not willing to question those views yourself.

After all that if this game really isn't for you, then feel free to leave or unsub, but FFS make your own choices in life.

Exept if they take in everyones opinion and come to the same conclusion as one of those big streamers, right?

Sometimes people really are swayed by someone elses positon, and it's no less valid when they are. Enough double standard.
That's fine, if they did that 100% perfectly fine.

If you however a streamer says jump and you jump and don't even question why you're jumping... Ugh...

I obviously post heavily opinionated views on the forums and debate from my side of things, but I hope it's never said that I am unwilling to admit I am wrong or concede a point when a better one is made.

I do my best to remain open-minded, which is why I understand all the current issues, am just annoyed and frustrated by the amount of BS being posted and promoted instead of rational thought and debate.
