Just farm the 13 mil in mats. Is it fast? No, will be easy? No. I don't enjoy farming but Ive made 2 mil in 2 weeks and that's 2-3 hours of farming once a week. If you have the time to be a completionist and have the time to achievement hunt then you have the time to earn 13 mil gold. Will you do it in a day? No. Did you get Master Angler in a day? No. So there you go. [SNIp]

I fully support the completionist approach and have enormous respect, for example, for the guy who is a Master Angler on all 12 of his characters. I can well understand why he wouldn't want to stop at 11 of them, but in your case you've already decided to aim only for the completion of the PvE achievements and the housing achievements are not relevant to that aim.
Meanwhile, I can also well understand why ZOS would want to give an achievement to those few who do complete everything in the housing field, just as I'd personally understand it if they introduced an achievement for getting Master Angler on all 12 characters - incidentally, I bet the guy let out a massive sigh when he saw that they're adding another couple of slots in June!
I don't think it's unreasonable for developers to offer achievements for everything that can be done in the game, but I also don't think it's unreasonable for completionists to stick to the targets they've set themselves and in your case complete all the PvE achievements - which you can still do exactly as before without regard to the housing achievements as they don't relate strictly to PvE.
That's how I'd interpret it anyway, if I were in your shoes. It would enable me to still enjoy playing the game without feeling that I was letting myself down by not completing something that was never in the game when I set the parameters for judging my success in it.
Hi thank you for your response. However the community believes this is PVE. As pve and pvp are literally just pvp being Alliance and the rest PVE. Thank you for your comment.
I don't think the community does. "PvE" is Player versus Environment as opposed to "PvP" being Player versus Player. Both terms relate solely to the nature of combative encounters. There is no combative encounter in housing, it is purely cosmetic and is not required in relation to any PvE or PvP content. I can see that you could just about make the case for it relating to PvP because dueling is possible in the houses, but PvE combat isn't. I think that in order to maintain the reasonableness on your part that you look for from the developers, you have to bend a little.

It is what it is.
Yea it is very common I agree. You are not worthy calling yourself a completionist if you give up that fast.
Although I still don't know what the complaint is about, I tend to agree - I have been playing since beta, and with one of my current characters since early access, I just got Master Angler title last week - I couldn't be happier! If I got any achievement easily, it wouldn't be an achievement, it would just be something that everyone had, and therefore worthless.

But if this is a gripe about how it is going to take a hundred million years to get all the achievements, let me assure you that 100%ing the achievements in a game is NOT necessary in order to enjoy it. I've been gaming for long before achievements even existed, I enjoyed games without them, and I although I quite like them now they are here, I can live without 100%ing a game and still enjoy it. It's as though everyone wants some sort of award these days.

You obviously didn't watch as that is mentioned in the video.. Not everyone plays for the same reason. Its not hard to understand that people play for different reasons... pvp, pve, leader boards, achievements, social etc. So why think why YOU play is the ONLY reason people play...
Do you not understand the words "hard of hearing"? Perhaps I should spell it out for you, I am mostly DEAF and CANNOT HEAR the audio on that - please post some brief summary of what it is about.
My guess is OP is hard of seeing.
As for the video, can't watch with sound from where I am (will when I get home), but most achievements can be earned with fellow hunters by working together for much faster returns. If this comment is not on key with the videos issue will address later when I have watched.
Was unaware of the sound issue as its playing fine for me. I am not blind but I put up a thread with VIDEO in the title and someone wants a text file of what I am talking about. I dont need to do anything for him.

You made 2M in 4 to 6 hours of farming over 2 weeks? 500k gold a hour? PC or console? Thats 8.333K per minute.. Not saying you are a liar but I would like to know where I can farm nodes at a rate of 8.3k a minute.

You certainly are a salty as hell. Sorry some achievements are hard as hell to obtain. It is what it is. 10th prestige in COD WAW, GoW seriously 3.0 come to mind. A few others I can't recall from the Halo series. If you want an achievement go get it, if you can't be bothered, then dont.

Starter islands, Xbox NA. Yes, markets are different across region & platforms. Right now on Xbox NA Raw mats are selling high(17-22k a stack for Ruby ore, even more for Ancestor silk) and obviously Spriggan's & Spinner's is going high. Find what sells right now on your platform and farm it to death.

I totally sympathise with the game losing purpose and enjoyment for you.
Unrelated, what is that add-on that stickies those specific skill cooldowns?
Ok, I'm not trying to go all zen here, but literally if you want to climb a mountain, or start a big project, or go on a long journey - you have to take one step at a time.
Not saying I don't understand the feeling. Basically the reason why I did not go further with EVE online - it would have taken over 2 years for my pilot to learn to fly what I wanted to fly - I simply did not want to wait that long (you literally learn in real time, like your riding skills were etc).
You are either intimidated and give up - or you say challenge accepted. Or you don't stress about it, go about your merry way and then wonder what that achievement was that just popped up. Granted those are often "easier" ones.
For comparison, upgrading bag space for 8 characters including the horse costs over 1.5mill. I might as well fold right here, not.
OK, I've watched it with the autosubtitles - it is fairly mangled and was sometimes funny (I got "ecology bundle" as part of a sentence, and something about "Michael" at various points, and it's 14 minutes of my life that I'll never get back. but I managed to get that the gist of the thing is whine, whine, whine, whine. The entire thing looks as though it could have been condensed down to 3 minutes to be honest, there was an awful lot of repetition.
If you aren't having fun, just go do something else!
3 years getting master angler title here - some things take a long time and a lot of input to get, live with it.

Reasonable vs Unreasonable.
That's purely your opinion. Please quit.
And:
Can I have your stuff?
Would it be reasonable to have to pay 13M to unlock a pve skin from a dungeon or to gain the ability to enter cyrodil?
As much as you salivate on the idea of roasting a quitting thread... this is not one.. as stated in the original post.

But if you are a complete completionist, why aren't you going for PvP achievements? That is what I don't understand - you've already come to the conclusion that some parts of the game are not for you, and are happy to disregard them. Yet this has got you in a stew, even though you apparently have enough gold to do it. That is what I don't understand.
