LOL at the people coming into a completionist thread and telling them they can still enjoy the game without completing everything... Next, go down to the local AA meeting and tell all the alcoholics they should start drinking koolaid instead, because they will enjoy koolaid....

    Thank you, exactly.

    Like I said.. pointless.

I don't measure my success by achievement completion. There are loads of achievements I haven't done. I think the fact that you seem to take it as a measure of a person, and want to judge me by it (and strive for a high achievement score yourself), is really very sad and doesn't say anything good about you.

"here guys, here is 14 mins of me nonsensically whining, please click it to give me views and ad revenue."

Do you understand how revenue works on youtube? Do you understand how POINTLESS this video is in terms of real dollars.. Why would I want to make a few cents off of people after all this. This is obviously me wanting to say something and not for money...

*Rolls eyes* there are some of you in every MMO community, self important, crying about good click bait topics and popping em in a whine vid to pop em into whine threads, constantly reference the vid and pull out the ole reliable "did you even watch the vid" line. It's become quite transparent after seeing it for so long.
Props for not being as obvious about it as guys like lazy peon, but, that doesn't take that much effort.

And yes I know how YouTube works because I also run a channel that's monetized.

The video was superfluous, your point could have been made with text if you really just wanted to say something not for money, but I guess that wouldn't have gotten you any new traffic to your channel.

    Channel name?

Pretty sure housing contains the only achievements you can get instantly for the right amount of crowns, which to me makes it less of an accomplishment, so why would you as a completionist go for something like that? If they introduced:
    Master of the House
    • Spend 100,000 Crowns in one visit to the crown store

    would you even bother?

That would also be unreasonable and I would also complain.

Okay after watching the video I stand by previous posts.

The achievements are viable if you put in reasonable effort as you've said, you just need to grind and sell the correct items.

Also the market right now is a ripe with money making opportunities and new demands due to the changes from the last patch.

I'm intrigued that other people's critical posts are deleted for being non-constructive/bait but the OP can accuse another player of having lied and that stays. An interesting precedent.

    Anyway, back to the topic:-

I suspect most of us are completionists in the sense that we want to do all the content, it's just that not everyone feels a compulsion to do it all or a need to do it within a certain time-frame, nor is it our prime purpose in playing the game. That's more in the nature of obsessive or absolute completionism.

Personally I strive to get all the achievements relative to my style of play (which is how you described it) but I know I'm playing a game like this one for years rather than weeks or months and therefore I can afford to take my time and pick up things like achievements as I go. I do make sure before I leave a zone that I have all the adventuring achievements (exploration, quests completed, skyshards) but I'm happy to leave the fishing ones until much later and dip in and out of those ones over time (not least because I may one day run out of adventuring content and will then have something else to fall back on), while I'm not interested in group dungeons so those are left too (again, that may change later on and with the benefit of One Tamriel there's no particular timescale to the content as it can be done at any level). What I am interested in, I want to complete - but not necessarily this week, this month, or even this year - and if for some reason I can't do so then it doesn't drive me from the game.

Although I still don't know what the complaint is about, I tend to agree - I have been playing since beta, and with one of my current characters since early access, I just got Master Angler title last week - I couldn't be happier! If I got any achievement easily, it wouldn't be an achievement, it would just be something that everyone had, and therefore worthless.

I love how you dont watch the video (for what ever reason) yet you chime in saying your opinion. Wise actions of a wise man.

I have no idea what the video was about because I am hard of hearing (thanks for providing a brief text summary of the issue - not!)

But if this is a gripe about how it is going to take a hundred million years to get all the achievements, let me assure you that 100%ing the achievements in a game is NOT necessary in order to enjoy it. I've been gaming for long before achievements even existed, I enjoyed games without them, and I although I quite like them now they are here, I can live without 100%ing a game and still enjoy it. It's as though everyone wants some sort of award these days.

    Volume is fine at 20+

You obviously didn't watch as that is mentioned in the video.. Not everyone plays for the same reason. Its not hard to understand that people play for different reasons... pvp, pve, leader boards, achievements, social etc. So why think why YOU play is the ONLY reason people play...

Do you not understand the words "hard of hearing"? Perhaps I should spell it out for you, I am mostly DEAF and CANNOT HEAR the audio on that - please post some brief summary of what it is about.

My guess is OP is hard of seeing.

As for the video, can't watch with sound from where I am (will when I get home), but most achievements can be earned with fellow hunters by working together for much faster returns. If this comment is not on key with the videos issue will address later when I have watched.

Was unaware of the sound issue as its playing fine for me. I am not blind but I put up a thread with VIDEO in the title and someone wants a text file of what I am talking about. I dont need to do anything for him.

You certainly are a salty as hell. Sorry some achievements are hard as hell to obtain. It is what it is. 10th prestige in COD WAW, GoW seriously 3.0 come to mind. A few others I can't recall from the Halo series. If you want an achievement go get it, if you can't be bothered, then dont.

    Reasonable vs Unreasonable.

What exactly is reasonable compared to unreasonable? That would be a matter of opinion. Is it reasonable to make clothing, blacksmithing and Woodworking take a year and a half, when I can get provisioning, alchemy and enchanting in a day? Is it reasonable to expect someone to go through 9 more prestige ranks after you get the first? Depends on your perspective I guess. I personally think that putting time in or skill, which equates to time, to gain an achievement is perfectly fine. Master angler is a perfect example of a title that takes a certain tenacity to complete. Does that make it unreasonable? How about Flawless Conquerer, takes skill, aquired through time, to get it. Is it unreasonably hard? Just because you see something as unreasonable does not mean everyone has to have the same point of view.

Correct they do not. However this video is aimed at completionist who now have had their reason for playing taken away from them. They and myself included have the choice to either leave, play a different way or many other things.. that does not change the fact that I can say something. Do you also believe that all pvpers should keep their mouth closed when they feel proc sets got broken? Do you think all pve leader board players should shut up about how vMol was being soloed and the achivs got given out free to people who exploited?
