Is anyone getting the Unexpected internal error now I have gotten now for about and hour after trying to sing in.

I'm using steam to play ESO. It seems that ESO couldn't be log in with offline steam while steam is down.

✭Have you bought and installed ESO via Steam? Might be the reason, at least i know someone who can't login and the only thing that probably makes sense is that the game was bought and installed via Steam (and Steam is offline right now).

✭ESO on Steam uses your Steam Account to login, if Steam is down/offline the game can't verify your account and therefor doesn't login.
The error message is pretty generic though, so not sure ZOS anticipated this being an issue.
EDIT: Just saw OPs 2nd post, no idea why you might be getting the error if your game wasn't bought through steam. Maybe ESO is also having issues

✭@baltic1284 His game is connected to his Steam Account, which means login(the normal way), Crown Purchase and ESO+ is handled by Steam and not the ZOS backend.

what do you mean default launcher?
i tried using bethesda launcher and put in my ids and all but it says "if you buy games from steam, please start via steam launcher".DC or DIE0 -

What about Steam makes one a peasant? I didn't know that was a thing. I personally prefer Steam as it has my library saved so I can not be hassled to keep all those games on a hard drive.0 -
