I play on the non veteran campaign, and I just have a few questions regarding ap if you may please answer.
1. Is it true you get rewarded less ap because you are in a group, or it it gained based on how much damage is done to a player?
depends on a lot of factors, but group size and time since they last died are major ones
3. 2. I heard a rumor that you get a 20% bonus for killing a delve boss in cyrodiil. Is this true and does this bonus apply to ap ? Is there a way to gain a bonus percentage for ap?
Get moar ap with faction bonuses and for kiling delve bosses
5. If a large group of enemy players are attacking a keep, do you get more ap by attacking them with seige weapons, or following the front lines and attack them head on with other friendly players?
In that situation the most AP will be gained by the players doing the most damage, followed by the players doing the most healing, then spread out to the rest. If you are sick on siege aim, then you can mop up AP, depends on you really
7. If you die often, do you gain less ap? I know that if I die often by the same player they get less ap, but does it apply to me as well?
Only in the fact that travel time and rez time reduces AP/Hour. You don't have a penalty for AP gain from dying
9. If I am aiming to get high on the leaderboards on the xbox one NA server, how much ap should I get per hour lets say?
More than the other people
11. Is it normal to get around 120-280 ap points per kill if there were a small group of players attacking the same person?
Normal is defined as typical and repeatable within expected parameters, so if you see this often, its normal for you, lol. Kill a v16 solo who hasn't died in the last couple of minutes and you will get 1k ap
13. Is healing worth it? Should I focus on attacking players instead or both?
Healing is a very effective way to gain AP
15. Lastly, why can't I respawn at an outpost?
They are for traveling between keeps, not for respawning. Because reasons
Thanks for all your help!!
it is split upon the group. the total amount of ap should be more, but of course for a single player less.DaWabbajack259 wrote: »Hello

not sure, but i guess it was 20% but for a relatively short duration. depending on your ap gains its not worth getting the buff.DaWabbajack259 wrote: »2. i'm not sure how the formula is, but it seems that if you deal more damage chances are you're getting more ap than the other players (at least when the others almost deal none. e.g.: you do 90% the others 10% of the opponent health)DaWabbajack259 wrote: »3. they gain less ap on killing you if you die often. you're ap gains aren't affected.DaWabbajack259 wrote: »4. If you die often, do you gain less ap? I know that if I die often by the same player they get less ap, but does it apply to me as well?
no idea how much ap is needed on xbox NA. on PC 100k / evening won't be enough by far... (depends on campaign as well...)DaWabbajack259 wrote: »5. If I am aiming to get high on the leaderboards on the xbox one NA server, how much ap should I get per hour lets say?
depends on the damage dealt and the amount of friendly players. but it sounds reasonable.DaWabbajack259 wrote: »6. Is it normal to get around 120-280 ap points per kill if there were a small group of players attacking the same person?
can't answer this as i rarely play my Templar in PVP (respectively only group play with my guild, so i don't really have numbers)DaWabbajack259 wrote: »7. Is healing worth it? Should I focus on attacking players instead or both?
because ZOS thought they don't want that anyone is going to respawn there.DaWabbajack259 wrote: »8. Lastly, why can't I respawn at an outpost?
hope it helped.DaWabbajack259 wrote: »Thanks for all your help!!
Articulemort wrote: »While I typically avoid pvp since the lag makes it unplayable most times, when I do go in, I primarily heal and can get right around 20k ap an hour(usually defending or attacking keeps only).
I play on Xbox also, and frankly the lag is so bad that's the only insight I have for you.
I believe the "lore-based" reason is that the shrines in the Outposts are damaged. There's no blue fire there, thus no way to access the Transitus Network, and you need a functioning Transitus link for rezzing. On the point of outposts you can't resplendent there as they don't really have shrines. You can only get there by using a shrine at a keep or at home base aslong as its connected. I don't know the offical reason if there is one tho
What campaign are you in if Haderus plus what faction? For example message the person in first place and ask them after you get Emp can you slow down or leave the campaign so I can catch up and vyet my first Emperor.DaWabbajack259 wrote: »This is just a little update, but I am ranked 2 for the emperor, But no matter how many ap points I get, the guy in first always seems to get more. I am behinf by about 120k ap and the campaign end s on Wednesday next week. Should I keep trying or just give up? I realize that although the emperor outfit is cool, I don't think its worth the 28 hours I have been awake
Please let me know your opinions! Thanks
