This is the best patch ever - I was in massive battles in cyrodiil just yesterday and there was 0 lag!
A huge perforrmance incease!

The reduced amount of "Hackers" using the CE may have something to do with a slight improvement in lag.

Still some using it though.

But there is a memory leak issue, big fights after playing for an hour or so I have to relog/reboot my computer and log back in to clear it.

haven't seen a big improvement. if you expect cyrodiil to be lag free with the new dlc, i have bad news for you.

There is still an FPS issue, but that applies anywhere due to the game using your GPU less and CPU more when it should be doing the opposite. But it isn't as bad and the ping problem is much better. I think it had less to do with the patch and more to do with busting cheaters though. Those groups that always used to drive up ping and drive down FPS don't do so anymore and die much easier. But whatever the reason, PvP is much better now and you only occasionally run across someone who dodges way too much without rolling or who is excessively hard to kill.

Cyrodil seems slow and broken at the moment.

yep, AvA in TF surprisingly smooth now, probably because i just change to 64 bit launcher or probably also because of the patch and update

using the 32 bit client it seems the same,
I switched to the 64 bit client yesterday and was nicely surprized to see a huge improvement.

With 64 bit much better after pacth

The animation prioritization changes are awful in pvp, but the game stability and performance actually seems much better.

Definitely worse on my end.

Has it improved since IC.... Certainly.

can it still be terrible? yes.

They've gutted the animations, special effects, sounds, and sometimes the world shows pink and purple and mine craft blocky trees....



but this is prolly nvdia's fault. lol

this is a slightly older pic, but I still see this from time to time. so it's an ongoing issue. I just don't screen shot it anymore cuz I've accepted it as the normal...IE it's lost its "zomg pink" shock value at this point.

Simple answer is yes, it has slowly been getting better, I am glad to see others taking notice, there will be times of lag, every online game I have played at one time or another has had some issue with lag, what ever they are doing is starting to pay off and I hope they keep doing it, and keep improving. It's not perfect but at least I feel it's going in the right direction, even my friend that plays on wifi has not complained to much about the lag these days and that's a good sign.

I have had some huge battles three factions involved with very little to no lag, a couple of months ago these battles would have crashed the server. I rarely get caught up in a wind up animation these days.

With the Cheat Engine exposed I think that has helped, but I also see some people slowly going back to their cheating ways, I hope ZOS continues to ban these people as they improve their auto detect.

We know blobbing and spamming is another cause of lag, I still see some blobbing but not as much spamming which does seem to make a difference, I think there are many things that contribute to the lag and that is one reason it is taking ZOS so long to get a handle on it. But I am pleased with the fact I can play when the campaign is locked all three factions and not have a slide show, at least for me.
