scaling in DLC content

When entering DLC areas I am scaled up -. all my character values are raised, but not critical resistance - this stays the same in the character screen. I have no way to find out, if this is just a bug in the character screen or if critical resistance is really not scaled up with the other values. I mean, if this is not scaling with the rest, then the "impenetrable" trait is rather useless for low level characters in DLC areas at least, I have no clue if "impenetrable" works differently with high level characters.

I will tag you, @ZOS_JessicaFolsom , because you are basically the contact person, if I want someone to look into this - and either correct the character screen display or make this scale correctly with the rest. Please be so kind to redirect it to the right person, Jessica - thank you.

    sounds normal to me.
i don't think crit resistance increases with your level

But what do those numbers of "critical resistance" then even mean, if those are not scaled up?

I always presumed that crit resistance would scale up to be at least closer to vr16 values if you're using them on lower-level gear. I never bothered to look into it. Thanks for sharing and good to know; I wonder if this is intended or simply an error. I suppose it is possible that it's a visual bug to the character sheet too.

Inpen is useless in PvE. NPCs do not crit unless something is bugged. Inpen has always been a PvP trait.

impen is pretty much useless in PvE. It is mainly a PvP trait. Unless you are making a PvP build you should not worry about impen

Yes, it is - and it is good to know, that I can basically let go on this trait in PvE and take something more useful instead. Still, it would be good to know, what happens if I enter the IC as a low level character - if this is just a buggy display on the character sheet or if the resistance will really be that low and basically be useless on a mainly scaled up character.

And whilst we are at it - are there other traits which are just for PvP and useless in PvE?- Any advice would be appreciated.

As far as I know that's the only one. Although with poisons coming watch out - a lot of the poisons won't do anything in PvE such as increasing the enemies resource costs, increasing ultimate cost etc.

Yeah, I got this from the last live show, thanks MissBizz - Mr. Wrobel said, that NPCs do not have resources and so you cannot drain from them or effect NPC resources with poisons.

No, but Sturdy is useless in PvP. That said, Sturdy and Impen are getting rolled together into a single trait with the DB update. I forget what the new trait does off hand. So those won't be quite as situational going forward.

Though, to be fair, Sturdy is kind of useless anyway.

As far as I have it in mind it is about better blocking with the DB DLC - and this should be helpful in PvP as well.

Thanks again for this hint, I recrafted all pieces with "impenetrable" on it to something more useful for my PvE experience and checked all other traits for their usefulness with the upcoming changes - took a while, but now I am overall more satisfied with my gear. Some "impenetrable" came from darkstrider, shadow dancer and night mother embrance sets, so I had to let those stay. The artist who worked on night mother embrace and shadow dancer should really learn how to fit pieces to others, these sets are horribly deformed, regardless if on a male or female character with extreme clipping issues even with own set pieces and practically incompatible to other existing sets in a whole. These sets need serious work, this is not just a tiny flaw. @ZOS_JessicaFolsom would you please redirect this to the right person, thank you.
