Old news, but provides some good reasons that the auction house was a bad idea.

Yep. but it won't be going away until ZOS fixes the economic system so that it's not useless and discriminating.

It's both useful and indiscriminate. Basic trading guild membership usually just requires you to buy/sell from the store. And it works - our members have been using it since launch and get along very happily with it

It doesn't work for everybody. It only works for a small fraction of the folks who get lucky and are in good trade guilds. Thats not working. thats useless.
There's other people like me, who are doing everything the way it is supposed to be done within their "system". Joining 5 max member guilds, yet still can not find anything worthwhile to buy. Selling my own items is slow as sin. Basically it's exactly as i described. Useless.
Discriminating because apparently the system is working for some lucky few. Your post alone concretes that and proves that it's discriminating because our experiences with the exact same guild store system are polar opposites.
By Merrian-Webster's definition of discrimination instead of the wiki one we could possibly squeeze this issue in. Unguilded and guilded are treated differently, as are high traffic/low traffic. But I agree, it's too harsh a word.Main Entry: dis·crim·i·na·tion
Pronunciation: \dis-ˌkri-mə-ˈnā-shən\
Function: noun
Date: 1648
1 a : the act of discriminating b : the process by which two stimuli differing in some aspect are responded to differently 2 : the quality or power of finely distinguishing 3 a : the act, practice, or an instance of discriminating categorically rather than individually b : prejudiced or prejudicial outlook, action, or treatment <racial discrimination>
I'm not sure what harm would come with having a global trading system. Other than other games do it so therefore ESO should not.
