lets just put it this way. i canceled my 6 month sub, and will stay that way until they start doing *** right. i love the game but 12.99 a month i EXPECT stuff done right. that includes listening to loyal fans and customers and GIVING THEM THE PET!!!! we dolled out 70 bucks before the game came out and now your giving people who waited 3 months later and for half the price a pet!? Dude really? if you haven't looked on your official page on steam your metascore is a 71! now you just put the nail in the coffin. zenimax i beg you, give me back the elderscrolls that i still love and cherish. P.S. ill see you when the game is worth a subscription. im not spending anymore until so, and i know im not the only one. ignore us and this will go free to play. smh

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom here's yet another chance for upping communications with us forum goers. Just dumping one poor CSR into a fifteen page shark pool of a thread can't be your idea of serious communication with your player base here on the boards.

While I don't expect any other answer than the one given, I expect you to at least try soothing the masses. Ignoring such an uproar - and it must have been something you've seen coming - is, quite frankly, disrespectful.

I wouldn't feel the need to speak up about this, if you didn't promise to improve your communication. Then I just had written it off as very poor management and customer relations and be done with. But you did, and pretty much ignored all hot topics afterwards.

It's a shame, really.

I seriously think ZOS is the only company half assing their strong IP. The recent and upcoming titles, all sport spanky new IP and they are running full force to prove that they can be competitive despite the lack of franchise lore.

Yet, ZOS is constantly screwing up by contradicting lore, forming angry mobs by constantly annoying existing customers.

You obviously haven't read the FAQ about ESO on Steam. You STILL have to subscribe through ZOS site. You can't use the game cards with this new Steam version.

i am not talking about a sub gamecard. but talking about collectables gamecards. its a thing on steam

In case you haven't notice, Cyrodiil has been crab free for ages. And with the now constant spam of familiars, you should start to notice that the summoned pets stealth, missing a note isn't an excuse. Not fighting for your alliance is. Just acknowledge that your EGO couldn't be described by caps alone.

So zeni's answer to the op is no just no. I wouldn't mind a different pet for a loyalty bonus but I'm not holding out any hope. I bought both the physical and digital imperial additions cause I wanted the physical goodies and the 5 day early access. I also have my beta monkey. I sort of get the rage from certain rp players point of views a whiterun dog fits better and they have no way of getting it.
I am however not to fussed myself the monkey is a better pet for a bosmer. What is surprising is again the lack of comment by Zeni on this topic 1 post just saying no is only gonna increase the feeling of a lot of dedicated players that they are being dumped on.
I appreciate the need to get more players but if it means switching the new ones for dedicated subs it's not worth it.
These new players may unsub at there first bug. Where as the early adopters have been through all sorts. So it would make sense to try and hold on to them.

I'm pretty disappointed in the game so far. I'm a huge ES fan, and have played the crap out of Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. I beta'd and pre-ordered the imperial version. When the game first came out, I loved it, bugs and all. I've enjoyed the story lines and some of the very interesting characters.

But, as I got further and further along, I got more and more of a 'meh' feeling. There's just not a very rewarding feeling for my hard work. Maybe it's because I'm not part of a tight knit guild and am not terribly interested in PvP. But there just doesn't seem to be a whole lot of things to look forward to. I enjoy new content, and look forward to that, but, for me, so far the only rewarding feature of the game was making it through the story. Earning new gear is fun too, but to what end, if one's not a PvP'er? I thought they were trying to cater to all play styles.

Now, when they start releasing new items, ones that I'm really interested in, and completely exclude me from them, without any chance to earn, just because I'm already a member, that doesn't add to my confidence in the game at all.

I was bound and determined that I was going to be a loyal and long term player, but I'm thinking now I might unsubscribe. Maybe when I come back, they'll have something of a more rewarding game.

Wait......so your selling the pets we who pre ordered are unobtainable by those buying on steam? This makes a massive difference, if not I will probably be in subbing over this. I am all for having unique things, but if they get all the perks we got PLUS this, hell no, not cool, can anyone confirm this please? From what I am seeing those of us playing since beta have the monkey, any race any faction and the scuttles. So if this is correct it's not a big deal as both sets have unique items PROVIDED they are unobtainable after a short period.

Steam buyers are getting Dog and Crab.

They also can get a Scuttler for a few cents (Explorer´s Pack is almost everywhere for no money). Scuttler was supposed to be pre-order bonus, but you can still get him for almost no money.

They can also get the Beta Monkey simply by entering one of thousands unused Beta keys (there were huge giveaways and many keys are still avaiable). Without participating in Beta at all. They are all over the internet.

TLDR: Steamers can get all the pets with just a little effort.

That is so wrong. Seriously considering on unsubbing. As Betatester and 5 day early access player I feel seriously slapped in the face by Zenimax. Unbelivable. They should have given the steam pre orders the scuttler pet like original pre orders did get it. The only fair solution i see to this is that any one who pre ordered the game before release in march also get the dog. And next time if you have any clever marketing ideas think twice if you alienate first hour customers. And it would be nice if we get another response from staff here that addresses our concerns here and that is not some copied in textblock.

Agreed, all they have managed to do by riling everyone up is break what little trust most loyal members had in the company after the past couple of months. I am sure plenty will go for the pet for some ridiculous amount of money same as the horse that is there currently in comparison tot he imperial upgrade. But it has been a dirty tactic at a VERY bad time in the games development. When a fairly large amount of your most loyal subscribers have already lost a lot of faith in you, you absolutely do not push them even farther away. Based on what I have seen today there were a lot more subscribers who were losing faith in the devs then I thought. 13 pages of anger and hurt over just a vanity pet kind of sums that up.

You're right. I think that's the outrage. For me I would have bought the game on Steam on day 1 if I could. Now it just feels like they made a back door deal and completely left the rest of us out that have been loyal since the beginning. Not to mention that we have put up with a lot over the last couple months; server downtime, unstable game, unplayable and broken content and now many of us are in limbo waiting for them to roll out these new changes so we can craft the new sets and play our toons the way we want stamina builds and all. We literally wait for promise after promise with no resolution. That's why we feel like it would be a really nice good faith gesture if ZOS just ate whatever fee Steam was going to charge and let us transfer our accounts. At the very least let us do it for a fee, but don't leave us out.

I'm certainly [snip] at this, 50% price and cooler pet, geez I didn't even get my original pet back after deleting a character on first day, due to them not telling us it was a one time delivery. Got so fed u waiting for CS to deal with it I gave up... and now this !
