Agreed. I tend to judge people, though, not on mistakes but how they handle mistakes. Despite the fact that Zeni arguably really f***ed this one up, if they fix it, I'll be happy.

This is a bit of a bummer for players that would prefer a pet like this instead of something like a mudcrab. Just for your very information.

Beta Monkey is still avaiable. You can just use one of THOUSANDS of unused Beta keys on your existing account and puff - You´ll get the monkey. Its not unobtainable or "Beta exclusive". Try it for yourself.

The truth is: Steam buyers can get all the pets: The crab, monkey, scuttler, and everything else with ease, while existing customer cannot without rerolling account.

To all of you throwing that "exclusive" word around about this dog, it doesn't actually say that on steam...

"Purchase the Imperial Edition and receive a special pet, the Whiterun Wolfhound."

..not to say that it wasn't supposed to be interpreted that way intentionally. I really hope that they didn't use the word "exclusive" for a reason.

According to @ZOS_AmeliaR‌, earlier in this thread: "The wolfhound vanity pet is a limited-time bonus available only to those who buy the Imperial Edition of The Elder Scrolls Online through Steam."

I interpret this as exclusivity - if the ONLY way to obtain this vanity pet is through Steam. I would be happy to be proven wrong.

come on zos accounts are flagged as to what edition of the game people have do the right thing.

another thought why not have dog breeders ingame you buy a puppy and it grows as you level could have all sorts of breeds.

Most people who get the mangy mut will probably delete it when they run out of bank space. I've deleted every pet I have ever been given. Bank space is useful. Pets arent

I think its unfair for us who been with you since early beta. who bought the game so they can play from april 1. those (me) should get the wolfhound too


whats even more. the vanity pets i got sofar. are just sitting in my bank (first off all pets betray your crouching so they are off limit during PVP) i dont want to delete them because i find that a even bigger waist but still i would trade them all in to get the dog. I WANT THE DOG :O come on zenimax cut the rope and make a statement either we get it or not.

Here's the sad thing. Those of us who are loyal.,who bought the game and it's upgrades,(and even played through the beta tests too) do NOT matter to ZOS.They know that we are easily replaced by noobs who just want this new game to play.The turn over will keep them happy,..or so they think.If we dont like it,we can leave.That's their true motto,I think.

I'm a fan boy... but honestly I think now Im just playing this to pass time till Destiny releases. Don;t know depends on the next 2-3 updates I suppose. But if ESO doesn't get it together Destiny will crush them on the consoles. Bungie is not playing around with their new IP, and they are not Half assing anything.

If people want a dog give them a dog! A little white pudel that bark alittle and start flee when danger is close would be perfect and well enough for anyone that has supported the game these long months since release.

While I seem to be one of the most opposed to this dog pet, I do need to point out that new customers haven't always been getting more than the current one. There's the beta monkey and the preorder scuttler, that a lot of current subs do have. Two exclusive pets we already have, compared to one exclusive pet new people are getting. The thing is, they could have had it for everyone - give it to existing Imp players, for one thing. I'd have NO problem with that. And if they added it as an incentive to get me to pay the extra $20 to upgrade to Imp, that would get me to do it, really quick. On top of being a Steam new-customer promo.

I bought the palomino instead of Imp because I like palominos. I also like big hairy doggies.

I have no room for either IRL, (literally, I'm current in a small apartment, no more open space and farmland for me anymore, I guess) so I'm happy compensating with mere pixels.

Oh, I would SO roll a character just to be a dog breeder. But that would be a breeding/evolution game (say, anyone know of one better than Spore?)

This limited time announcement/promotion is very disappointing. I've paid many many euros to preorder the imperial edition months before release and what? A newcomer steam buyer get the new pet? This is s**t, really.

Heh. Humans smell too. I hate being stuck in crowds on a wet or humid day - the monkey-house smell of people hits me like a truck.

I first noticed this living in Toronto, taking the streetcar at rush hour.

I now walk or bike or even take a cab long before I take a bus or any kind of crowded public transportation.

You obviously haven't read the FAQ about ESO on Steam. You STILL have to subscribe through ZOS site. You can't use the game cards with this new Steam version.

Oh, not to forget the game is still broken in so many ways.

We paid for FPS issues, memory leak, *** account charges, random bans, broken launcher, constant crashing, inefficient performance fixes, delayed maintenance schedules, progress blocking quest since beta, FPS drainers since beta, constant release of bugs and much more. Yet we held on.

So this is how you repay us.
