Sorry but those are not real world problems!! ESO getting fixed is more important! :open_mouth:

I have to admit, my 10 year old Iraqi wife and I had a chuckle over that

Well its definitely one way to solve teen pregnancy, by the time they are teens their sick of each other.

Well, if I can remember correctly, when I was a teen, it didn't matter if I was sick of a girl, I just wanted to have sex.

    So much subtext.

Admit it -- these review threads are just an excuse to fight with people about everything from Pong to black hole physics.

Nobody is going to change anybody else's mind here.

That developers never listen to players, and voicing valid concerns in a constructive way is useless?

I am about to *** some of yall off.
    Um...
Any one else get the feeling that they almost built this game to work as a F2P game, like they were getting ready from the start to make the change.
I mean the guild market, the inventory, the horses, the crafting, the treasure maps, and you know if its F2P the lock pick will become impossible to find and you will have to buy them. Hell the game is a sub game yet it already has two forms of currency already. Honestly this is the only worry i have.

    Hi,

Joe's review of ESO is up (I'm sure others posted the link but here it is again, just for measure): Here...

The review shows what's wrong with the game... Seems most people agree, judging by the comments and thumbs up on the vid.

Also... Why is there no easily accessible open forum here?!? It's hidden somewhere in the category map - level 3 or 4 as if to discourage discussion or something...

Is it possible to close that thread? Its the same 4 people throughout the thread who attack everyone who does not agree with that video. There is zero discussion here with these trolls possible.

As I said earlier, grow a back bone and develop a own opinion.

I'm sure they have a back up plan in place to go F2P if necessary.

Hopefully that doesn't happen though. I saw what going F2P did to some of the games I used to play, like LOTRO. And all I can say is no thank you.

AJ has chosen to cherry pick and publish the low points of his gameplay experience to reinforce his argument. While many of his points are valid, it has the cumulative effect of projecting an overly negative impression to anyone that may be curious about the game.

From my own mmo experience, which began with EQ back in '99, I have found that, for all the negative aspects of the gameplay I have encountered--and there have been many--there have been many more elements that I have thoroughly enjoyed and have kept me engaged.

He pretty much nailed all the major points. And he's not alone, a lot of the major reviewers are making these same gripes. Let's hope Zenimax is paying attention...unless at this point they're already building up their imminent freemium model.

    These two gave ESO 9/10:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8CtSmnSKuY

and yes they point out some of the game's flaws but they don't go on and on about them in the interest of getting people to watch to generate revenue for themselves. They also think the game looks good.

My question to you all is this: Which review is correct? Think carefully about your answer.

Then he complains endlessly about the horrible grouping and not being able to quest together efficiently. And while I agree with that assessment, that's common place in today's MMORPGs. In fact, most of the more recent MMORPGs don't even allow you to group for many of the quests at all and treats character progression as a wholly single-player experience.

If its so comon place in today's MMO's, please tell me which MMO's you are talking about?

The MMO's I have played recently, Guild Wars 2, Wildstar, WoW, Rift, Star Trek Online, LotRO all allow me to group and quest with friends without any issues. Hell even some let you downscale in levels just to help out your friends if they are not your level!

If forum posters trouble you so much you'd quit a game (that the playing of which has absolutely nothing to do with the forum, really), you might reconsider reading posts here. It's certainly not required to play the game.

Joe wanted a single player game in his MMO, with some PVP. He hits on some valid points but most of his ranting is either outdated information or just downright wrong. I like his reviews a lot but he really ranted too long over things that just aren't true.

Yah, clearly you're not negative and grudging at all. Most assuredly you wouldn't make a thread to provoke a reaction, then when the thread gets closed, post about it in other threads to ride out the attention high.

That would just be silly, wouldn't it?

Yes, because lots of people saying the same thing always means they're being honest.

You can't possibly feel this way, or be this blind.
    1. That was a half-finished statement that got saved as a draft and accidentally posted.
    2. I deleted it no more than 5 seconds after I posted. You must have been spamming F5 to catch that.
    3. It was quite obviously sarcasm, directed at somebody else. Even through text that should be obvious.

The problems with the game are prevalent and known issues. The fact that many people are starting to complain outside the confines of the game/forum, is disheartening. It means people are giving up on the notion that anything is being done.

IE the bots. It's a game killer.

An annoyance, sure, but a game killer?

I don't know about you but I don't see them that much. In fact they're only in one kind of place. I don't spend my entire gaming session in the bottoms of those dungeon delves. Do you?

Yeah because it's mostly in the 15 below area and it's a huge turn off to people starting out in the game. With an mmo like this, new customers are critical. They need to have a smooth, fun, experience more than the vets.

Saw ten bots, first time it was this bad in my experiences, all in one room in a public dungeon. Each had a name like fhoksp, shfoap, or my fav. ttttthhhh. They were running around killing mobs looking like some thing reminiscent of a mouse pointer with trails turned on. It was very disconcerting. It was like one person was controlling all of them, which is very possible.
