Restoring Missing Bank Slots/Items & Skill Points

    I received compensation for my lost bank slot and (possibly) missing items this morning. I am satisfied with the compensation amount and am happy with the resolution. There were some hiccups getting to this point, but I am confident that this was a learning experience that will improve in the future. As intended, I purchased the palomino upgrade, and have subscribed for the 3 month billing. Thank you, Zenimax!

    (Btw, I know the bug has been fixed, but I have been taking screencaps of the amount of gold deposited and my bank space - just in case :P )

    those missing points incl the skyshards. i was tracking those so i knew where i'd been and wouldn't go back again. i have several abilities that are at lev IV, some/all of which had the morph ability enabled, and which is no longer available on any of them.

    Well...when a player chooses to reset their skill points, they have to put a poitn back into the skill to start it off. The xp bar for that skill then fills up to allow you to morph it (assuming you had previously got it that far prior to the reset).

    Maybe that's what's happened to you? I don't know.

    As for more skillpoints.....find the skyshards in the the zones you've visited (check your achievements to see any you might have missed). You get a skill point for every 3 found.

    the skyshards are in higher levels now, and my missing skill points puts me at a fighting disadvantage since those abilities were "unspent"

    I received some money however was not enough. I lost 50 Bank Slots and 2000 deposited gold ..... and the amount I received was only able to raise my bank Slots to 90 !!

    Please I need those 50 Bank Slots and the deposited gold.

    After 15 minutes of writing email about my lack of reimbursement, I received an email stating my issue will be addressed. Loved the quick response. Hope for a quick fix.

    same thing happend to me. I have lost 44000-47000 gold and 10 bank slots and all that I have received is 13000. unfortunately I cannot paste my ticket ID because I have sent it in game, copied numbers with keyboard and left the game.keyboard copy command did not work. It seems like a bad luck became a wildfyre.

    While I have several tickets in for the same matter this is the most recent # 140416-073169

    I have gone back and forth with customer (lackof)support and have gotten nowhere. I was given 8,000 gold to replace a 120 or 130 slot bank (I never knew I needed to keep track of something I should never lose). Below is what I posted last in response to Patrick which got me escalated to Galen who is about the worst customer support person I have ever seen.

    Can we PLEASE get a competent group of people to help us; at a minimum someone who will read the ENTIRE post and not ignore everything aside from the work 'bank'.


    I don't have a character named [insert character name where the gold is] but I found it on a character I had to create to solve my bank issues. The 8,000 is still around 50k short to repurchase the bank space that went missing in the first place. I am 3100 gold shy of the 90 slots I have now and 11400 short of 100 slots which still puts me at 20-30 spaces shy of what I had before. Also give at least a minute before saying I didn't log off, you can go back in my character logs and see I logged off until I got that last email.

    I don't want to sound like a jerk, but... do I understand it right and some CE customers can use their pets on different characters and some don't?

    Euh... if that's indeed true (the communication is very, very badly done)... how is that fair to the rest of us, we paid the same for the CE items as them?

    I suppose if you didn't get hit with the bank bug, you don't get compensated for getting hit with the bug. Does that help?

    I get what @Aicilef is saying, though--and it isn't fair that some people are benefiting from duplicates of the special items while others aren't. The special items should be claimable by any and all characters on a customer's account. Forever. Period. Maybe this catastrophe will help convince them of this fact. I have never before played a game in which the bonus items I got for preordering, testing, etc. were only given to one toon.

    But, anyway, not everyone who received duplicates has suffered the bank slot bug.

    140416-116409 - emails sent with requested info a couple of days ago and have gotten no reply as of yet.

    140420-070738 - sent today to inquire about my missing bank slots and gold that was stored in them. Just checked all my characters and no gold has been given as compensation yet. I opened this ticket because I got a survey for the most recent ticket I had opened which I have had no response/resolution from.

    If these surveys only go out after CS responds/resolves an issue then neither has occured in this case. If they just go out automatically you might want to rethink that as I am now left confused and wondering if in your minds my issues have been properly addressed.

    I was hit twice, the first time I lost all my items and the second time I lost 40 bank slots. I was refunded 11400G which is the cost of the 4th bank slot but I guess I am going to be responsible for the 11100G to get it back to whole. Not to mention all the items that were lost, those don't count for anything I guess.

    So, I got the reimbursement, which is enough to cover the lost items and restore my bank slots, but I am confused because the reimbursement replaced the gold in my main's inventory, roughly 7000 at the time because I had just upgraded my backpack. Not really complaining, as I see it as a net gain, still, just confused by the chosen method of reimbursement. Why not use the in game mail or deposit it directly into the bank?

    Well, I didn't want to drag things out, but I don't feel right leaving things at "shortchanged", so...
    Hi!

    Could you please check again? I say this because after gathering together gold from my eight characters and pooling it to buy bank slots, I ended up having to sell some crafting materials to be able to afford 100 bank slots, which is the number of slots I had when the bank bug hit.

    Unfortunately, that leaves me somewhat short of the approximately 18,000 in gold that was also in my bank at the time of the loss, which leaves me down at least 16,000 gold in the end, and feeling like I was not properly compensated. While I don't know the exact amount, I noted the 18,000 figure at the time the bug hit me last Sunday because I was consolidating gold from characters into the main bank account at that time to see how close I was to being able to afford 110 slots (for 22,500 gold).

    I realize support is having to work through a lot of these requests and don't want to be a bother, and my first impulse was not to haggle further over this, but I don't like being left with the feeling that I was shortchanged.

    Please check again. If I could simply get back to where I was (100 slots, ~18,000 gold), I would consider this resolved. Short of that, I would continue to feel, well, short.

    I know this thread probably doesn't need either more bloat or more public drama, but having already vented here, I might as well follow up on it.

    And yes, I just checked and noticed going from 100 bank slots to 110 actually costs 20,500 and not 22,500 (it costs 22,500 in toto for 100 slots).

    Admittedly, I'm not an accountant. :P

    How would I notice if I have been affected by a skill point loss? I am not always checking my amassed unallocated and spent points because I was at no point expecting the possibility of permanently loosing attained skill points.

    hmm strange, I had to give them affected char name, account email, payment type, secret answer, and when it started, sadly I got 10k gold, instead of the two weeks worth of gathering enchanting mats, made a new ticket about it, since 10k is noting, and gina bruno said in her post that we do not need to say the name and quantity of every item we lost in order to get them back, and still CS says we have to name all the items and quantity, not so easy with 100 items missing.

    Oh my gods. Seriously? They are editing your toon's total gold with the amount they are depositing instead of adding the reimbursement to your existing total? Am I understanding this correctly? If so, I guess it's a good damn thing I noted the amount of gold my main had earlier....

    Finally had mine restored via gold , felt it was adequate. Next time service needs to be faster but compensation makes somewhat up for it :)

    kinda depends on what you lost, if you lost a full bank of runes that takes for ever to gather, 10k is nothing, still waiting on my second reply to the ticket

    Already did like 2 tickets which was for the missing 40+ bank slots and having a full bank which was like more than 1/2 the items where improvement items like 50 something sapphires and extra copper-palladium. Not received compensation yet can wait in line.

    How is it fair that you and I both got to play without finding our bank slots, items, gold and in some cases skill points suddenly go missing?

    How is it fair that we weren't in that position for a week or more?

    How is it fair we didn't have to contact customer services numerous times etc etc etc

    So what if some of them got compensated a bit of extra gold or got duplicate maps and pets. I found my starter island maps without cheating and that was the real excitement for me, the loot by the time I found them wasn't really useful, plenty of other maps that weren't with the CE that can be dropped from mobs.

    As for pets, last thing I want is more of them, take up too much space, if I do want to use one on another character I simply stuff him in the bank before I switch.

    I'm glad they got compensated
