An interesting link for some of you. It's quite ambiguous on how much money Force is actually making, but it makes it clear that he is making a decent bit of money. I'm not sure I'd call it a living:
http://socialblade.com/youtube/user/ForceSC2Strategy
$2.3K - $19.4K
ESTIMATED MONTHLY EARNINGS
$27.9K - $232.4K
ESTIMATED YEARLY EARNINGS
I doubt he makes the upper end of that, but it all depends on his deal that YouTube partner has given him, which the details of that are undisclosed.
---
EDIT his partner is with RPM (http://www.rpmnetwork.com/) but I'm unable to find a lot of hard information on how much he gets paid per view. It doesn't sound good though, from what I've been reading. Somewhere around $1 per thousand views. He's had upwards of 3 million views total in the last 30 days though (which is +13% which is a substantial increase, so he's definitely getting more popular, and his video library is growing quickly since he's publishing a new video 2-3 times a day it seems). That works out to roughly $3.8k before taxes. Not terrible but still not a good living. $45k/yr before taxes. Of course, he has no benefits if he is self employed (unless he's paying for that from what he's making).
Here's another tidbit that you might not know. Views don't have to come from YouTube's site. There are many ways he can get views without them counting towards his pay for adverts. Apparently mobile views is also vastly underpaid. So in other words, I could be over-projecting what he's making by quite a bit.
The best thing to do would be try to get an official response from him on how much he's making, but he might not want to reveal that information *wink*.
"I'll have to read less whining in these forums". You know what you just did? You whined. You whined about the people whining. You are no better yourself. And those other people are not whining, they are complaining reasonably so that zenimax can see this problem and change it. As force said, the process blocking problem he had was minor and he didn't think it was going to get fixed soon. Well if we make zenimax see this then it has a much bigger chance of getting fixed. And do you think it's weird that people that has been stuck for a week complains here on the forum and that they are angry? It's not at all and they have every right to be. They are paying for the game and this should have been fixed a long time ago. Even zos said once when announcing a new patch that most quests, if not all should have been fixed by now. Well, when there are progression blocking quests which is the most important ones to fix still left in the game which should have been fixed many, many beta test ago (and I say this as someone that's been in 5 beta tests) in a game that they are paying for I don't think it's weird that they are mad. You obviously have not had any of these problems and that's why you aren't complaining yourself...Do we really need a 10 min video complaining about this blocked quest line. He said the same thing over and over. And to worry that the game will be doomed because this guy has this issue, please. Most players can't get 6 days of game time in the first 2 weeks of launch. The bugs will get worked out. Leave if you want. I'll have to read less whining in these forums

LoL. That should bring 'The Force' into harsh reality. This whole thread borders on insanity.

I feel like Sheldon on that one episode of Big Bang Theory when Amy tries to cure Sheldon of his need to complete everything but instead just goes crazy and wants to tear his face off. Every time I look at my map in ESO and see a black icon and remember I can't change it to a white icon because of a bug I want to tear my face off as well.

Dont really feel bad for him and if he wasnt in such a hurry to sit at VR10 with a small number of other players. He'd have plenty of time to make leveling videos, exploration videos and so forth with very little issue.
No kidding. I have to laugh when I see tags like that. It's another guy that makes videos and throws them on YT.Ahh one of the thousands of internet personalities you kids watch these days? Meh.
P.S. Can you explain "professional game reviewer"?

*protip* If you don't like the game /cancel sub before your 30 days are up and exit state left.
Let those of us who enjoy the game use this forum to help new players, not discourage them.

Yeah....remember when Star Wars Galaxies first came out? or hell Ultima? Everquest? 90% less whining and moaning, and 99% less trolls too
In all honesty, I think it's a generational thing.
I would be willing to stake money on my observation that most of the whiners seem to fall into the 16-25 year old demographic.
People who were around and sentient during the early MMO days were enthralled by every little change they made. Just being on EQ1 was like magic.
That sense of appreciation doesn't really fade over time. Every little step forward the gaming industry makes incites further awe. And why shouldn't it? We're using electricity and metal to transmit realistic video around the world with milliseconds of latency.
But for someone who grew up with an iPhone in their hand and a laptop in front of them from age 8 onward, it's a lot harder to make an impression. They want perfection, they want it yesterday, and they want it connected to Facebook and Youtube seamlessly -- and they want it for free.
So what you basically say is he is important?
Go by this, then come again why this one person should be more important then everyone else on this forum.

I understand he is making a more professional "post" about the bug TESO is, but there it ends.
So OP is proud that he's a sheep in a flock of "gamers" whose opinions are swayed by others.... from people who actually have some influence over gamers who like to do some research etc. Obviously you are not of of those people.
OP is a sheep. An "Internet celebrity" (read: has a webcam and mic) says negative things, so OP says negative things. If this Fork guy loved the game, OP would also love it.
I especially like where OP says:So OP is proud that he's a sheep in a flock of "gamers" whose opinions are swayed by others.... from people who actually have some influence over gamers who like to do some research etc. Obviously you are not of of those people.
Pathetic.

Surely.
It means he has a boat load of viewers and gets paid in a couple of ways. Advertising on his channel, sponsorships.. whatever.
He has 350k +subscribers which is MORE than any show on msnbc or cnn have viewers.
That's what it means and ZoS would be even dumber than they already appear if they don't see the problem.
Pretending to not know, or actually not knowing the impact of youtube vids is sooooo ten years ago.
Your argument has some flaws there buddy.

Well today's patch seems to be addressing the quest progression blockers and perhaps fixing the issues with loading screens, if it works colour me impressed that the devs have actually listened.
Now if they can repair the economy by chasing down those who exploited the dupe bug maybe we'll be getting somewhere back towards a good launch and potentially good mmo.
