Feedback for the housing feature and update (poll)

So for everyone not watching the stream:

The housing feature will be the possibility to publish your house for others to look up in a new menu (like group search).

On top of that we get 2 new houses. 1 in Auridion (medium) and a bigger one in the new area.

Are you happy with this feature as your q3 announcement?

The chat lit up with calls for a higher housing slots limit. They just ignored the longest-standing request ever. Extremely disappointing stream. But I would have been happy with any of the other ideas from chat: furnishing bag, mannequins in houses, putting alts as houseguests, having an option to have multiple builds for the same house, etc. etc. Literally anything other than this.

They could have done anything, but they did it. I'm happy for those who like to build things, but what about some improvements to the system as a whole.

I like the feature, but it’s worse than HousingHub in that you can’t add a story blurb or sign the guestbook. Its better than no HousingHub but I expected more than just HousingHub for the “we’ve been hyping a housing update all year” update.

For folks that are allergic to addons on PC, or play on consoles, I'm sure they'll be quite happy to see more homes.

For a large chunk of the playerbase, I think we'd all really like to stop being held back by the console limitations, both in furnishing counts and the awful, awful base and early game textures.

Along with the housing slot woes, the Five Companions house should be an in-game reward for players who complete the main quest of ESO’s base game.

Its a fine system, but really not quite worthy of being the central focus of the update.
No furnishing bags, no furniture limit increase. New houses showcased are just more of the same. Didn't need another high elf house. More plots of labd for custom builds would've been nice.

The Infinite Archive update with new Class Sets, the new Luminous Ink sources, and the new Skill Styles have me hyped. I'm also looking forward to checking out some houses with the new house touring feature.

Kinda expected more? (of different)
Like more furnishing slots, different interactions with housing items, maybe different ways to decorate (like moving housing parts, etc).
Now I'm lowkey scared for the PvP update

It really seemed more like it was made because the devs were excited about sharing houses and player houses, rather than it being something we could actually use. Sure its nice for the console users and non-addon pc players, but its rather lackluster as thats all we're getting it seems like. That and 1 medium house, and 1 large house that'll probably be unlocked through the event tickets in Q4, so really if the medium house doesnt come in Q3, housing hub is the only new [housing] addition.

Well... I don't think it's appropriate to announce this as a major housing feature - it doesn't allow you to do anything new in terms of housing (furnishing, building) itself?!

While it's a cool feature and I'm glad that consoles get to have the EHT community functionality available in-game, I was expecting something with a much bigger impact to housing as it doesn't really fundamentally change anything... I was hoping for an increase in special collectible slots... we have so many house guests, assistants and pets now that it's really limiting to be able to only display 10. I think it would make houses seem a lot more livelier.

I really hoped for something like new furniture UI (all furnitures in one place, categories, searching, sticker book, etc.) but this is just so minor and niche feature...

Yes. It has great potential to be a big source of entertainment for ESO players.

At the same time, I still wish for a farming minigame, motifs displays and mannequins and a bulletin/mission board to set your companions tackle an objective around Tamriel.Will never rest until it's been implemented!

Was hoping for mannequins and weapon plaques where we could pick motifs and decorate. Still crazy that’s not a thing. Honestly don’t care about random people being able to visit my homes.

Opting for something "so many have asked for" I've never (as well as many others) even seen requested before is the norm here now. We can already link our house in chat for people to visit. Hardly anyone uses the group finder, what makes them think people are going to use this?

As far as my playtime goes housing is done, I can't do anything without a furnishing increase. I can't decorate a medium or classic home properly due to the limitations, and I can't decorate a manor because it will always look empty even at 700 slots filled. Disappointing. Back to other games until a good event or next year's chapter.

You can put up your houses to be toured by everyone. Like public links to homes.

I kind of wish it could be more limited. Limit it to have links for guild members only, but it’s literally open to everyone only (I think).

I had hoped for other features like being able to deconstruct crafted furniture, or connect houses through portals. This is certainly not bad but... there could be so many other features that would have come to mind first. Like guild houses and whatnot.

It's extremely disappointing that they hyped this for months like it was going to be amazing, making the housing community think that their requests were finally going to be listened to.

There's -so many- other things that were needed far more than this!

This isn't even a new housing feature- it does absolutely nothing to change housing itself or the functionality of housing. It's a new UI feature

I can't even imagine thinking of calling an addition to the UI a housing feature =_=

Come on, people, did you really expect an increase in housing slots or a furnishing bag??? Based on everything ZOS has said and other changes that have been made, such as to mail, I really don’t think it’s possible, else ZOS would surely be motivated to do so to increase sales.

I think the new feature is good, but the ability for people to simply copy paste builds needs to be blocked/limited or I doubt many of the best builders will list their homes, which would be a great loss.

It’s cool to see new customization features added to new homes and it would be nice if some of these could be retroactively be added to existing homes (with of course the option to maintain the current appearance).

Yay we can publish our houses(not interested in the slightest).....

The houses I never feel are truly complete, due to that inevitable point, which always happens, when you realise your imagination, no matter how good, is NOT going to magic those needed extra spaces out of nowhere!

Or when you just wish you could sit those house guests around a table, or set them to use emotes to form a band....

I could go on but I'm too sad atm. 😥
