Maintenance for the week of November 4:

Isn't the compensation too strong?

I never said that. I just said that WE could use some help too but they won't even reply to any of our questions about it. Grinding every day just to be disppointed over and over hasn't been enjoying this event.

I’m fairly confident that Zos is currently trying to resolve service access to its customers. I’m pretty sure the drop rates for style pages are not even on their list of priorities right now.

This. I completely agree with people who say that ZOS needs to acknowledge the extremely low drop rates and do something about it, preferably just give them out to everyone or make the drop rate so high it's near guaranteed. But that's a completely separate issue that doesn't overlap with us getting our accounts locked for over a week at minimum.

For me that would mean that the compensation for the banned players would be reduced.

None of the blocked accounts were asked what they considered appropriate compensation.

Personally, I don't see this compensation as such. But just as advertising for ZOS. Hey look, we're doing something.

My own focus in the game is not mounts, whether Apex or otherwise. I have already farmed the breastfeeding pages myself on two accounts. Ok, I've been playing on the EU server for years. IT shouldn't make any difference in terms of drop rate.

In my opinion, the question of whether the compensation is too much is simply wrong. You should have asked if it was the right compensation.

Do people want compensation for being able to log in and having the chance to do what others, who have been locked away, could not?

You are not victims of a random mistake for which ZOS has to take - and does take - accountability, EVEN THOUGH this is NOT their fault.

The level of entitlement is thorugh the roof.

As someone rightfully said, this thread has shown peoples' true colours. Compassion, support and understanding vs lack thereof - just me me me.

You're creating a false dichotomy. I farmed for over 40 hours also before being banned and would've kept farming if I still had access to my account. I'm willing to bet many who were locked out also had been farming. I already explicitly said I support you guys getting something rewarding, but that's a completely different topic and has nothing to do with getting your account completely locked.

after considering this problem a while and after i thought it was 1 or 2 days they are locked out for i came to the conclusion that the compensation they are recieving is not enough for being locked out of thier own games for more than a week. a few days out or longer than speculated maint times are bad but...omg more than a week is really bad news..i said in my guild chat earlier in EU that i hope the news is good today after maint for all you that were effected

Just want to say I am glad they are compensating you.... but what really ticks me off is the endeavors, most have to scrap and save to get them and instead you give those affected the price of on radiant mount.

Look a lot of people we affected and still affected to play the game due to maintenance.

I really think the 16000 endeavors should be give to everyone not just those affected by it.

It stings that as a customer paying every year since its old time launch gets screwed over by playing by rules and not taking part in the bugged PTS

I think the problem is not that the compensation is too OP, it's just that the event itself is very underwhelming. I am sure that when they announced the compensations, many people thought "I'd rather be banned for a week than grind these damn geysers for 50 more hours".
And yeah it would be awesome if they gave some endeavors to everyone, not just those affected. Maybe not 16k, but let's say 8k :)

Whether you have watched Nefas' take or not, I urge you to do so.

    https://youtu.be/jBmrAajv7OA?si=GLlZfblC4Efowjx6&t=2497

People tend to forget, or may not know (which is also possible) what Seals of Endeavour are in essence.

They are a clever - oh, very clever and effective - marketing way to make one buy cosmetics - COSMETICS - from the Crown Store. Rarely something semi-useful, eg. Vampire utility. As loot boxes are banned, ZOS found a brilliant way to keep them. Lo and behold how effective they are.

Another thing, those of you who are disgruntled, consider the following - do you not like the fact that they are given the Seals, or that YOU are not given them?

If you had been given the 16k seals, would you know what to spend them on? We don't tend to respect things that are given to us on silver platter. No sense of accomplishemt.

IRL, sometimes you will get much for very little, but how often will you rather bemoan the exact opposite?

To quote Chester Bennington's "In the End"

"I tried so hard and got so far
But in the end, it doesn't even matter
    ."

Thus I urge you to drop this envious thought, and... idk, maybe take joy in somebody else's success, or offer aid to those who have been affected? Have any spare motifs that dropped which they may not have AND which you don't need?

Ooze negativity, and you shall drown. Exude posititity, and you will soar.

I think you're linking two completely different events here. Like many others.
    Firstly, the anniversary event.
    Secondly, blocking the accounts.

How many seals did you earn in the week you were able to play, or how many seals would it have been possible to earn? Login Reward, Daily Aspiration. So 16K is not 16k because every day that goes by the seals become fewer.

    A week is over.
I don't think there will be another server down before next Thursday.
Two server downs in one week are very unlikely.
So I expect the accounts to be unblocked on Monday in a week at the earliest.
If not in 14 days for the next scheduled maintenance.

I agree with the rest, with the exception of 16k thousand Seals of Endeavor, don't you think that 16k is a lot? considering that the players have only been in the bathhouse for a few days and how long does it take to collect such an amount? Why not change this number to 8k? What do you think about this?

We have been locked out of our accounts for more than a week now during two events (Anniversary Jubilee and Thieves Guild) and no, the "rewards" are acceptable. 21 Event Tickets lost so far.

Side effect: I deleted the PTS, won't get caught a second time.

During the afternoon of Loredas, 6 Sun’s Dawn 2e578 a big piece of Aetherius fell to Nirn. It was the first major piece of Aetherius to fall on Nirn in more than five hundred years. It scattered around the world as millions of shards. It was rapidly documented by Lady Cinnabar of Taneth in her pamphlet Aetherial Fragments that "... when three shards meet, they re-form into a silvery prism by unknown process and confer the power unlocked by the merger to a nearby being." The Order of the Black Worm, commonly known as the Worm Cult, reappeared in Tamriel shortly thereafter and some of its members are avidly searching said shards.
In the last week of First Seed 2e579, an arcane explosion occurred in the Imperial City — a night of storms, and trembling terrain. They named it the "Soulburst". That day Emperor Varen Aquilarios disappeared without a trace. His wife, Clivia Tharn, ascended to the Ruby Throne as Empress Regent under the guidance of the Necromancer Mannimarco. Ushering a time of increased instability within the Empire of Cyrodiil which finally grew into “The Three Banners War”.

The mats from the purple boxes - this is something the complaining people have conveniently been omitting. Either for yourself or to sell, you have those. How about the motifs worth hundreds of thousands? Can those blocked say the same?

I'd temporarily increase the cap for the Event Tickets by 21 (7 days x 3 tickets) fro those accounts as another form of compensation. Or some 7 boxes containing 3 Tickets.

Think about it, ZOS. These folks have lost the Tickets, but you have the power to undo the damage.

Pretty sure you did and you edited your message.........

Oh [snip], I corrected a typo. "Needs" to "Needed."

When I heard about the extent of what happened last Monday, I thought to myself, if I were Matt Firor or Rich Lambert or whoever is making this decision, I'd say, "We need to compensate the innocent testers to the point where people who didn't get locked out *just about* wish they were." I'd say the nail was hit on the head.

I think you're linking two completely different events here. Like many others.
            Firstly, the anniversary event.
            Secondly, blocking the accounts.

ZOS linked them when they handed out Jubilee items as compensation (payment) for being locked out, and increased the length of time of the event by two days for players affected by the server down time.

That means that the "small chance" drop rates that players are finding frustrating, on all servers, is also now linked with the lockouts on the PC server. ZOS has not bothered to reply to that situation.

Even though the scale is significantly worse for the people who are still locked out, and have no date as to when that might change, these things can no longer be separated.

Just to be clear... I agree with the compensation (payment) ZOS has offered for those who were, and are, locked out.

I agree with the rest, with the exception of 16k thousand Seals of Endeavor, don't you think that 16k is a lot? considering that the players have only been in the bathhouse for a few days and how long does it take to collect such an amount? Why not change this number to 8k? What do you think about this?

I think they "deserve" as much as they can get.. .. .. ..

            Agreed

Lets give them a lifetime of eso+ and give them everything that can be purchased on the crown store for free.
