A very high proportion. This last week myself and a few friends have moved over from STO to ESO. Whilst I've been playing since closed beta most of the new guys are virgin ESO, some never having played any of the previous games (Skyrim, Morrowing, Oblivion etc). What I noticed is that without ongoing help on our Discord chat they are really struggling to make sense of everything, now after a few days they are getting the lay of the land and starting to really enjoy it, but if I and one other were not there to guide them I'm certain some if not all would have given up by now.

Greetings, as we've removed a few non-constructive and baiting comments, please remember that while it’s all right to disagree or even debate with each other, provoking conflict, baiting, inciting, mocking, etc. is never acceptable in the official The Elder Scrolls Online community. If there may be any questions in regards to the rules, please feel free to review them here.
- Trolling or Baiting: The act of trolling is defined as something that is created for the intent to provoke conflict, shock others, or to elicit a strong negative or emotional reaction. It’s okay and very normal to disagree with others, and even to debate, but provoking conflict, baiting, inciting, mocking, etc. is never acceptable in the official The Elder Scrolls Online community. If you do not have something constructive or meaningful to add to a discussion, we strongly recommend you refrain from posting in that thread, and find another discussion to participate in instead. It is also not constructive or helpful to publicly call out others and accuse them of trolling, or call them a troll—please refrain from doing so. If you genuinely believe someone is trolling, please report the post or thread to the ESO Team, and leave it at that.
Thank you for your understanding.
When Akatosh slew Lorkhan, He ripped his heart right out,
He Hurled it across Tamriel, And the heart was heard to Shout:
Red Diamond! Red Diamond!
The heart and soul of Men.
Red Diamond! Red Diamond!
Protect us till the end.
The laughing hearts sprayed blood afar, A gout on Cyrod fell,
And like a dart shot to its mark, Down in an Ayleid Well.
Magicka fused the Lorkhan Blood To crystal red and strong
Then Wild Elves cut and polished it down To Chim-el Adabal.
Red Diamond! Red Diamond!
The heart and soul of Men.
Red Diamond! Red Diamond!
Protect us till the end.
When Elves lost Nirn to Men, Akatosh gave the stone
To Saint Alesh in token of Her right to sit the throne.
Red Diamond! Red Diamond!
The heart and soul of Men.
Red Diamond! Red Diamond!
Protect us till the end.
I remember back in the early 80's we had to load a Commodore64 pc game by playing a data cassette for 15 minutes prior.
Now 40 years later, seems like some things never change.

Over 2 hours! And still no official apology and relevant information from ZOS? Why am I paying for ESO+ if I cannot use the game? This isn't very honest, is it? Maybe instead of censoring what people post on these fora, ZOS should fire moderators and hire more developers to focus on making the game work? Just a suggestion.
Me and some of my guildies are so glad to have GW2 - such a nice alternative to the "queuing game".
I hope we will all get a refund and 3 event tickets for each day when any of us, subscribers, tries to log in and gets a queue, thanks
<snip>Speaking of guild wars 2(gw2).I used to play GW2 up until last year when my gw2 account got blocked all because I said in the chat "I'm a neurodiverse player who loves this game", and still I can't even log in and contact their customer support to appeal it. I miss that game and their forums, but, I wouldn't recommend gw2.
Here is some other games I recommend to try out that i found are pretty fun: final fantasy xiv, league of legends, Diablo 4, Genshin Impact, tower of fantasy, and nyan cat. You do you. Play what you enjoy.
I really like eso and their forums too.
The eso forum moderators here did nothing wrong.
I have played both ESO and GW2 since they came out. Never experienced ANY problems in GW2 that we regularly must suffer in ESO. The company and the whole game design of GW2 are just so much fairer / nicer.
Thanks for your recommendations. Played FFXIV, LoL, and Genshin Impact. FFXIV was nice but too slow/tab-target-point-and-clicky for me after ESO & GW2. LoL was too grindy and even more toxic than ESO. Genshin Impact seemed too grindy & gacha. Played other Blizzard games but uninstalled everything and will not touch D4 because of the developer's unethical behaviour (including Diablo Immoral). Played tons of others, haven't played ToF and NC, will take a look, thanks.
<snipped for baiting/bashing>

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_Kevin is it too much to ask for some comment ?

It's 8:52am Pacific time. Assuming they start work at 9am we should hear something soon.

They are not censoring people. They are taking down posts that are in violation of the code of conduct to keep everyone safe and the forums civil.
It's not the elderscrolls forum moderators job to make public announcements about the log in issues.
That's up to a totally different team to decide if a written announcement on the issue for this is ok or not. They also got another team working hard on fixing the problem and it's ok for it to take time.

Now that it is resolved, I am playing again, but I don't think I will be spending anything on this game for a long long time. And I actually even love apocrypha in TES lore so I was just considering buying the new expansion, even though I had to quit the game before due to unreasonable changes. These turn of events made me remember why I cancelled my sub and took a long break. I have no trust in this game anymore.

I still cannot believe that so many people whined about a queue and were threatening to cancel membership/refund/never play again. I've played a lot games where I had to wait 30ish minutes to get in, you know what I did? Folded laundry, cleaning dishes, take out trash. If I still have a queue, I watch youtube videos
ZOS didn't need to address anything, because they just assumed everyone had enough intelligence to understand that between event, free eso+ and epic games that there would be quite a bit of bottleneck. They severely underestimated the entitlement and lack of maturity of their playerbase lol
