They used to do a week of "free play" but decided this time to just give the game away. New players are always good for the game, but ZoS should have the sense to take a slower approach than just dumping the game free, forever....

It's utterly infuriating.

I frequently move around between accounts and between NA and EU. As I write, the queue times have gone from a minute to over 6 minutes, and I have got to the end of the queue and crashed twice (so I have to exit to desktop, and start all over again).

I completely agree. Free-to-play should not be given priority over people who subscribe. I mean how stupid does someone have to be to think that's a good idea? I keep forgiving these people for ineptness, but I think I used up the last of it this weekend. Been in a quest about 20 minutes now with half an hour still showing. This is not cool. Either beef up your server or open a new one. I miss the good ole days when mmos required a sub. It ensured adequate funding for games. If you didn't want to spring for 50 cents a day, you didn't play.

Their login servers are also very bad, even if you wait patiently 2 hours in queue you just end up with another error or sit at 1 second forever and have to requeue again.

Yeah, I am done waiting, I will play something else and cancel my subscription.

Yesterday was a few minutes to wait, but today it's an hour and a half, on both servers. LOL--just....NO.

Weirdly my wife did just get in after her queue was over on the same connection, and is currently playing with no lag.

I think we need some of those things that they have at crowded restaurants, where they give a coaster-like thing that buzzes and lights up when your table is ready.

Once you try to log in, you can go off and do other things and go back to your machine when you get notified that your queue finally "popped" -- so you don't accidentally time out on the login and have to start all over again. (Actually, this could be implemented with a simple text message, not that they would do it....

Having to queue for hour and a half only for the game to tell me connection is lost and then having to queue for yet another hour and a half is not why I am paying for ESO+

Not that I think me posting this will matter a jot, but the current state of affairs is well beyond acceptable, and the deafening silence from ZOS on the issue is inexplicable. This is intolerable.

Four times I've tried to log on and have been put in queues ranging from 14 minutes to 2 minutes.

Not that it really matters, since when you wait all that happens is that you end up with an error message, and have to start the whole fruitless process over again.

I'm giving up and going to do something else.

ZOS if I'm in a queue and I have the patience to wait then at least when it gets to the end it should let me into the game.

I wish the game had never been offered free on Epic: this is not only unfair to those of us who actually pay for the game, it's clear that the servers simply can't handle it. Now I'm stuck in a login queue that reduces its time estimate by less than real time, so I have no idea when I'll actually login.

I’ve said it before in another thread - the deafening silence from ZOS lately whenever any kind of big issue affecting a lot of players is going on really fuels the rumors/conspiracy theories that ESO is on “maintenance mode”. Necrom was supposed to be the start of a multi year story but I’m starting to wonder if we’ll ever see the conclusion before the plug gets pulled.

Know what doesn't have a queue? FFXIV.. and its free to play to lvl 70 now with no time restrictions and no engineered inventory management problems, and XBox, Playstation, & PC can all play on the same servers.

Then you must not play a lot of games because I have gotten queues on several. FF14, almost every night I have to wait. Games like Dayz or Conan, Rust, easily get them on weekends.
