There are many useful, meaningful features that came up as wishes here at the forum regularly over all the years (new race, new class, vet overland, dungeon and trial story mode, a new pvp fight system, spellcrafting,...), and what did they announce to us last January in the announcement stream for High Isle, claiming it was the big thing everyone wished for for long? A card game. I had barely seen anyone mentioning a card game here. So who knows what it is this time?! After design choices that seem incomprehensible to me, completely lore-breaking dialogue (yes, I'm still dwelling on the player character congratulating Naryu for saving the Tribunal), crownstore mounts that look flashier and kitschier with each new release (and that sometimes no one seems to be using, or how many people riding the 2-rider-horse have you seen until now?), the quests and stories this year being mostly meh, character portrayals often one-dimensional and dialogue dumbed down even more, I'm extremely sceptical. So what could we get next year? Back to the roots - a complex story, nuanced characters, intelligent dialogues and a new class? Or will it be, conflated with the Dibella theme of next year's event rewards, some cheap romance story, even more shallow "flirty" dialogue, cliché characters, and as the big awful cherry on top, "romance" with said cliché characters and shallow "flirty" dialogue? I hope for the former and fear for the latter. Well, hope dies last.
Destruction magic isn't tanking magic, and that's what I'm referring to.sharpshooter2342 wrote: »emilyhyoyeon wrote: »I would love a new weapon like a magicka tanking staff or skill line, if these count as system/feature
We already have a magicka tanking staff. Ice staff.

I'd argue that one of the most requested features was to hide more outfit slots than just helms (shoulders etc.). I have made the request myself and added my support to several other posts about this very subject. But I have trouble imagining this being a big enough feature to brag about. It's more like a small QoL thing that should've been done when the outfit station first came out.
I imagine the feature they're talking about is something bigger. But, as someone who has repeatedly asked for hiding more outfit slots, I'm also hoping this one makes it in there too.

No. That is most certainly NOT one of the most requested features. Perhaps it is in very small RP groups. But there's no way its more requested than A New Class or More PvP Content.
I mean, you hit the nail on the head: "I have trouble imagining this being a big enough feature to brag about". This whole thread is full of players just talking about the minor QoL changes THEY want to see. 98% of those changes are so minor or niche that they will never be what Matt Firor was talking about.
And if they are! If they release a "mulit-year story arc" focused on "underwater swimming" or "being able to lay down in beds" or "Hide Shoulders" or any one of the THOUSANDS of QoL features players understandably want, it's gonna be a blood bath.
Spellcrafting would generate the most hype, but it would either be broken and a nightmare to balance, or massively under-powered.
