the akami address is given when the launcher is opened. I got 198.20.200.47 when I logged into the game. I captured it in the small amount of time I had before getting kicked again.
traceroute to 198.20.200.47 (198.20.200.47), 30 hops max, 38 byte packets

It's a bit messy but here's one straight from my router. Minus a couple lines.

I thought it was my computer, but I see many of you have a much better setup than I do and are having the same issue. Why would it be our ISP's fault when we are all playing on different ISPs?
Thank you, Auric, and I have been discussing this issue with my friend who has just recently retired from his position as Senior Computer Scientist for NASA, and he said the same thing. He explained it simply by saying that it is just like when you are using your cell phone and your call gets passed to a different tower and sometimes your call crashes. Haha, he simplified for me as I am not an IT person.
Arielle. There is alot of internet connectiosn between your ISP and Zenimax's many of which are not owned by either your ISP and Zenimax in Dallas. If one of those conenctions is having a problem it can affect many people. If you want kind of a primer that explains it I wrote one back on page 6
Also, my ISP escalated my case pretty high and just told me it's ESO's (zenimax's) fault. Ultra sigh!

My pleasure. I tried the car driving on roads explanation. But the cell phone one works for me. I'll remember that. Now remember, i'm NOT letting zeni totally off the hook, network problem is likely the cause of SOME of the issues in this thread, but I doubt its everyone's problems. Keep up the reports to them!!!! Back on page 7 I think they wanted people to run some tool that will help them. Keep on them to fix what they can and hopefully the internet will get itself sorted out for those with actual network issues.

Hopefully soon they will change their stance from ''its all your ISP's fault go bother them.''
