Quite interesting.

1. Some of the mainland is visible on the map, looks like the ship is going slightly south off-west. (maybe setting off from the southern most point of High Rock)
2. Town architecture looks pretty "urban"
3. Armor of sailors on the ship with blue flags looks like full-plate armor
4. Bad guy's armor at the end has some scale-y elements and two S-like shapes on the back. Maormer? Storm magic and snek is sorta their thing Looks like Breton heavy armor

Well, I am officially hyped. Wherever and whatever it is, it looks great!

If I have to delay a beach vacation for another year due to Covid, then at least I'll have a gorgeous new virtual ocean to immerse myself in this summer.

ETA: I said I was done with preordering, but... this may very well have turned me around on that.

A new "Mini Cyrodiil" on High Isle would be dope. Like 12 vs 12 vs 12 battles. I'm sure the engine can handle it and it would be amazing to have "bigger" battlegrounds.

Also, I'm getting big Amalfi vibes from that coastal town. But the chapter music sounds a bit more Celtic.

Breton architecture, breton-esque armor, the squiggly, the scales are both features of current Breton armor, a bit different but mostly the same.

The flags on the ships correspond to the Faction colors. They seem to be working together, and clearly aren't welcome on the island...

After checking my Iliac Bay map, there is a island off the SW of High Rock called Betony.
We haven't been there yet. Maybe?

That's just the Breton name for betnikh as far as I know and that is already in the game

So if it is the 3 factions (and I don't see why it wouldn't be) then it is either one of two things, they are working together which would imply a bigger threat to all three, or they are competing against each other to get to some new prize.
If it is the second, then that could suggest a newly opened land or newly discovered land.
For example, a newly opened path to a previously inaccessible land.

Yes, though other way around sort of. Bretons lived on Betony, then the Seamount clan of Orcs took it over and renamed it Betnikh. Later down the road it will return to Breton occupancy and the Betony name. Betnikh is the Orcish name for Betony.
