Maintenance for the week of December 16:
• [COMPLETE] NA megaservers for patch maintenance – December 17, 4:00AM EST (9:00 UTC) - 12:00PM EST (17:00 UTC)
• [COMPLETE] EU megaservers for patch maintenance – December 17, 9:00 UTC (4:00AM EST) - 17:00 UTC (12:00PM EST)

So on the PS5 Version I have to do all Trophies again?

Yeah, this is one of two games I have that doesn't support trophy sync. The other game is dark alliance and that game has it of issues. It doesn't even have crossgen play. What's funny is that FFXIV which is in direct competitive with ESO, I don't think it has trophy sync. Every game I've played with trophy sync, as soon as I load the game up, it will unlock the all the trophies. What FFXIV does, is I think it just reads your stats. There's a trophy for x amount of FATES. If you go out and do one fate, it will unlock all the trophies related to FATES that you've completed.

Expecting details that aren't available yet is unreasonable. A status update to let us know they are still working on the fix is the only thing anyone should expect at the moment and is vastly superior to silence. Which was the only other realistic option.

I don't want to be served raw chicken because I don't want to wait for cooked chicken. And I don't want details that may end up false. I just want an acknowledgement they are working on my fix. When the details are finalized, that's when I want them.

They wont be able to fix this, Sony changed the trophy data id for games on the PS5 which means all games that are on both the PS4 and PS5 have seperate trophy lists. I think Sony really dropped the ball here with this but Zenimax could do something like the PC has which is graphic sliders. Instead of indivdual sliders that change each enhancement, its just one slider that changes the fidelty and frame rates to something the PS5 can run in the PS4 version.

Would this stop PS4 users from using the toggle to test their system and try and play on a higher fidelty? no but the game would be absolutely unplayable for them and they would switch back. Another option would be for the base game, to recognize what system you are on and boot the proper settings for it. The download might be bigger but it would be a QOL for everyone.

That change doesn’t mean anything for this, if thats the case why do other games still have trophy transfers?

I mean, they didn't because if you've read the thread at all there's tons of games that have been listed that have a ps5 version that syncs the trophy list because it is the same game just a ps5 version.

None of them sync like they did for PS3/PS4 They are all separated trophy lists but some developers allow trophies to unlock on the PS5 trophy list that were obtained on the PS4 but this usually requires a PS4 save file on the system itself like Spiderman. Everything is saved server side for ZOS.

It would do everything for this, because PS5 games generate a different trophy ID code than the PS4/PS3 all PS5 games will always be a new seperate list from the same PS4 version of the game.

By allowing PS5 graphic fidelity on the PS4 version, your trophies would still pop for the PS4 list. You wouldnt have to download an console advance version which creates a new trophy list.

Some companies figured out how to transfer earned PS4 trophies to the PS5 version but once playing on the PS5 version, trophies won't pop on the PS4 list anymore.

Destiny 2 goes both ways. Hitman 3 goes both ways. And what do you know? They both store the data server-side. Like ZoS does.

So again, blaming Sony is still not it. Yes, they absolutely could have implemented it better, but claiming they're the reason we can't keep our trophy list is not correct.

Like I've said before, I don't really care who's to blame. We'll never know so all this speculation gets us nowhere and just detracts from the problem.

It's ZoS' game. It's them that take our money and it's their responsibility to fix it. The fact that they're working directly with Sony to find a solution is promising and hopefully shows they're taking it seriously. It's disappointing that it still hasn't been resolved but hopefully we'll have a proper update soon.

I don't know anything about Destiny 2 but is the PS4 version just an update or a complete standalone version? If it's an update and still uses the same base PS4 files it makes sense how the trophies stay the same but if it's a standalone version of the game than the trophies will be seperate.

Destiny 2 ps5 isnt just an update. You also have FFXIV ps5 version which auto completes trophy's, specifically the story ones. Those would suck to have to go back through. The story is very long. While it is good, I wouldn't want to repeat it.

It's a standalone version. Like ESO.

And yes, the trophies are separate. Like ESO.

The data is stored server side. Like ESO.

And the trophies are synced between the PS4 and P55 versions.

    Unlike ESO.

It's absolutely possible to give us our earned trophies regardless of where the data sits.

ZOS, please think about people using BOTH ESO VERSIONS, PS4 and PS5.
For this, the best indeed would be if ZOS could sync the PS4 and PS5 trophy lists.

I am using the PS4 ESO version on PS5 to save energy while doing daily writs, fishing etc.
I am using the PS4 ESO version on PS4 when other family members or guests play on PS5.
I am using the PS5 ESO version when I am playing new ESO stuff alone.

If it is not possible to sync the PS4 and PS5 trophy lists,
a workaround could be a PS5 game setting to continue using the PS4 trophy list.

PS4/PS5 games cant sync lists like this. What you are saying is what I have been saying as well that any PS5 "upgrade" version is going to be its own list. Can trophies auto pop? Yes, Spiderman did it when transferring your save file from the PS4 to the PS5. There is also a list of games you can search which auto pop trophies but having merged lists like this will be impossible due to PS5 versions having their own unique game code.

The only way for lists to be merged like in the picture above would be for a PS5 update to the PS4 version, which I said could be added into the options as a slider for resolutions and frame rate.

Aside from that, even when ZOS figures out how to sync trophy lists, there isn't a single game I have seen personally that would pop trophies completed on the PS5 version to also pop on the PS4 version, effectively cutting your trophies in half between two lists. It seems like its only possible way for trophies to pop for both lists is those earned on the PS4 would also sync to the PS5's list.

Me, I don't want a separate PS4 and PS5 trophy list for this game, I want a sync'd/merged trophy list like in the picture above which would say PS4/PS5 and the only way for that to happen is something like what I mentioned above to happen.

People aren't asking for a Shared List. We just want Trophies we've earned to pop on the PS5 list. There's zero reason they can't, considering the game has a mechanic built in that tracks what you've accomplished. A Shared list isn't going to happen on PS5. It just doesn't work. So the next best thing, is to do what plenty of other companies have done: two lists that unlock the same trophies.

There’s a difference between a shared list and not, if you really want to i can pull my miles morales trophies, if for some reason you’re under the delusion that it can’t be done
Yes, please show me a merged trophy list that states PS4/PS5 under it like the picture I have posted above.
