Hey All. Just touching base here to keep everyone in the loop. We are working on getting details now to give a proper update. We should have more information soon, but nothing to report yet. Thank you for your continued patience on this issue.
Thanks for the acknowledgement, but at the same time this is such a vague and acknowledgement-for-the-sake-of-acknowledgement empty answer. [snip]

Expecting details that aren't available yet is unreasonable. A status update to let us know they are still working on the fix is the only thing anyone should expect at the moment and is vastly superior to silence. Which was the only other realistic option.

I thanked them for the acknowledgement and pointing out it's 100% vague corpspeak does not negate that. Thanks.

I think Sony really dropped the ball here with this but Zenimax could do something like the PC has which is graphic sliders. Instead of indivdual sliders that change each enhancement, its just one slider that changes the fidelty and frame rates to something the PS5 can run in the PS4 version.
Would this stop PS4 users from using the toggle to test their system and try and play on a higher fidelty? no but the game would be absolutely unplayable for them and they would switch back. Another option would be for the base game, to recognize what system you are on and boot the proper settings for it. The download might be bigger but it would be a QOL for everyone.

I mean, they didn't because if you've read the thread at all there's tons of games that have been listed that have a ps5 version that syncs the trophy list because it is the same game just a ps5 version.

That change doesn’t mean anything for this, if thats the case why do other games still have trophy transfers?

Destiny 2 goes both ways. Hitman 3 goes both ways. And what do you know? They both store the data server-side. Like ZoS does.
So again, blaming Sony is still not it. Yes, they absolutely could have implemented it better, but claiming they're the reason we can't keep our trophy list is not correct.

I don't know anything about Destiny 2 but is the PS4 version just an update or a complete standalone version? If it's an update and still uses the same base PS4 files it makes sense how the trophies stay the same but if it's a standalone version of the game than the trophies will be seperate.

This is the reason why I'm not buying a PS5. Only play ESO on my PS4, and I'm not doing all the achievements again on a PS5. Gonna stick with the ps4 pro.

Gotta make false claims to prop up ZOS when they released an unfinished game

Honestly, I wish people would just be like "yep, I was wrong." It's okay to admit you were wrong and what you thought was wrong! It's a part of learning new things! And this new thing is how actually yes, actually it is entirely possibly!

Show me where I was wrong?
PS4/PS5 games cant sync lists like this. What you are saying is what I have been saying as well that any PS5 "upgrade" version is going to be its own list. Can trophies auto pop? Yes, Spiderman did it when transferring your save file from the PS4 to the PS5. There is also a list of games you can search which auto pop trophies but having merged lists like this will be impossible due to PS5 versions having their own unique game code.
The only way for lists to be merged like in the picture above would be for a PS5 update to the PS4 version, which I said could be added into the options as a slider for resolutions and frame rate.
Aside from that, even when ZOS figures out how to sync trophy lists, there isn't a single game I have seen personally that would pop trophies completed on the PS5 version to also pop on the PS4 version, effectively cutting your trophies in half between two lists. It seems like its only possible way for trophies to pop for both lists is those earned on the PS4 would also sync to the PS5's list.
Me, I don't want a separate PS4 and PS5 trophy list for this game, I want a sync'd/merged trophy list like in the picture above which would say PS4/PS5 and the only way for that to happen is something like what I mentioned above to happen.

There’s a difference between a shared list and not, if you really want i can pull my miles morales trophies, if for some reason you’re under the delusion that it can’t be done
Yes, please show me a merged trophy list that states PS4/PS5 under it like the picture I have posted above.AuraStorm43 wrote: »IronWooshu wrote: »AuraStorm43 wrote: »B0SSzombie wrote: »Weird take to claim that something is impossible when it's already been done.
