100%? No. I give them majority blame, though. The fact that other studios did this just piles more blame on Sony. Games are on the Sony platform by the grace of Sony, not the studios. It is their platform and their rules. When one game does something like transferring Trophies for the PS5 version, but another game does not, then it is Sony that should be looking out for their own customers and ensuring consistency. Everyone does it, or no one does it.

Yep and like I said in the post you just quoted, it was mentioned on that very page (17) that there are a range of games already existing where the trophies carry over, which you claimed - on the same page - "I’m also quite sure that SONY itself just won’t let trophies pop on a PS5 list from PS4 work. If Sony did that then it would be a slippery slope with its own first party titles and other third party titles."

If it's a slippery slope then the slope is very definitely slipped, because it already possible in the games as per the link that Outlaw_Nynx posted this page.

I don't really understand why so many people insist on blaming Sony here. If there's a problem on PC you don't get people posting about how it's all Microsofts fault because they own Windows. Yes Sony have more rules, but if a game studio chooses to release (and profit from) a game on that platform it's up to them to make sure it's fully supported. The fact that they're working on it now means there's no real reason they couldn't have made it a priority from the start. Instead they did the minimum to rush out an unfinished, unstable game and are now playing catch up because it isn't acceptable. They made no effort to even incorporate the new controller features either, even down to not fixing the rumble, which doesn't work any better on the PS5 version than using the dualsense with the PS4 one. When such a lazy job has been done with it, it seems a reach to blame Sony for this one particular problem.

Second, we can assume ZOS will do the fix, otherwise why ask for approval? Somehow, i doubt that asking for approval was a simple text message and reply. There were probably forms, reviews, meetings, management, more meetings, and maybe even lawyers if some legal contract was involved.

I know people think it is, but the same list that was posted above leads me to pile more blame on Sony. It can’t be simple because I also don’t know of any game that allows the reverse. If you unlock the PS5 trophies should you also get the PS4 trophies? And is the trophy unlock a onetime thing or is it limited? Most of the games noted to transfer trophies aren’t adding more trophies. ESO adds trophies every 3 months. Is there a limit? I know in the past Sony has placed limits on the amount of trophies allowed for a single title.

I think it was around 125 trophies
Due to us having 2 ps4 trophy list on ps4
The first one end at 124 trophies with dragonhold
And everything after was on eso additional trophy set

Also back when i still played dcuo, they stopped doing trophies after a while as they said theu hited the limit
Just rapidly counted, they had 123 trophies

I say was as all trophies are on the same list on ps5

Hitman 3 allows you to unlock trophies earned on the PS5 on the PS4. I believe Destiny 2 does as well.

It has been five months and we haven't been naughty, we've been nice. Santa is coming soon and we would dearly love to get our PS5 trophy lists fixed for Christmas.

Seriously though, it's been over three months since anyone from ZoS commented on this thread and that was with a "we should have more information soon" and I don't know about you guys but to me three months is not 'soon'. Is anyone at all able to provide us with an update on this? Someone actually from ZoS, so the last 'update' we have isn't someone a random player coming through with "Rich said [this]" hearsay?

Finally got the 4 trophies in Cyrodill behind enemy lines after 3 years!! Did not get any trophy! Played on PS4 since 2014 then switched to the PS5 version when it came out, very frustrating!!! I want my trophies!! Please !!!!

I believe it's an easy fix but they won't do it. Pretty much every trophy is tied to an achievement. Can't they just add a NPC to recheck achievements?
