GREYMOOR DESYNCS!

    XBOX NA here - and I am continually appearing both BACK to my position of anywhere between 3-30 seconds ago, and also FORWARD in time - the screen flashing between my current and former position. Can’t crouch; can’t access material nodes; can’t bar-swap; and usually get DC’d - even though I am all alone in low-pop overland zones just Skyshard farming.

    Each time - I do a speed test - and my ping, up & down are all fine... and I often boot up another multi-player game with way more intense action just to make sure it’s not my internet / console.

    It's 6/15/2020 and still no response or acknowledgement that DESYNCS and not LAG are still here and still affecting gameplay in a negative manner.


    They are better in remote location than they were before last update.

    They are significantly affecting gameplay in high population areas.

    They are constant and make gameplay literally non-functional in prime time Cyrodiil. Literally. Unplayable.


    The least we can expect is an acknowledgement and plan for performance to be addressed someday???

    This is supposed to be the year that performance is addressed???

    Still happening in dungeons too. Very noticeable in Scalecaller when the poison AOE 1-shots you from 12 meters away.

    ^Yerp. I was farming Elden Hollow yesterday morning solo. and I noticed. I found if I stood still in a spot fighting for long enough it would catch up which is not really possible in end game content with real challenge. Later in the night I realized my gap closer made it worse so now I am finally building without one

    I've been doing trials to escape the Cyro issues.

    I found out there is no escape. It's just funny watching the different mobs / bosses react to HOW *** UP THIS GAME IS RIGHT NOW!!!!!

    @Emphatic_Static - are you sure that there is still DESYNC and not only LAG?
    What do you experience, where you know its a desync and not a bigger lag.

    Just asking, to get the thread back to the top - where it should be :)

    I get desynced only when I dk leap in cyrodiil in a crowded area full of players. I'll be able to move around anywhere but can't use abilities, dodge roll or attack and after a min, I'll warp to where my leap landed. Only seems to happen with me with the dk leap ulti, idk what's going on bug didn't have the issue before greymoor. My latency is at it's usual 120-150 ms.

    I'd like to add, i can clearly see all the players moving around, using abilities, etc and they aren't rubberbanding or anything, it's almost like I'm a ghost who can follow them around without being seen or hurt until I warp back to where the server thinks I am

    Interesting. I've had the same issue with toppling charge and thought gap closer but people say they use them all the time without issue. I took it off my build and did not have a rubberband for 2 full nights of PvP. I'll put it back on and see if I can reproduce

    You still desync though as indicated easily on templar if you are jab/sweeping guards, and you'll see one well out of your cone get damage numbers when they suddenly pop up after not seeing the hits register for a while.

    I don't know what pc EU server you are on, but me and the rest of cyrodiil experience next to nothing else other than desync.

    No it's not you, it's just that you are about the 30th person to come in, suggest it's just lag, usually they tell us to turn vsync on or off or something lmfao and dismiss everyone else, determining that it's in their head because they happen to have had decent performance lately, and leave.

    If you click on the Z in front of the thread, it will take you to the first ZOS post. From there, there are arrows next to the Zs on their posts that takes you to the next one.

    To be fair; they have made several replies in this thread, just spaced out quite a bit and I'm sure we have grown more and more toxic all the time to where it may not be something they want to do anymore. At the same time; I feel you almost have to expect people to be toxic if they care about the game because we are closing in on 4-5 months of this and it only seems to be spreading to other parts of the game.

    Hi everyone,

    We just wanted to confirm that we are aware of several issues on the live servers and that we are currently debugging them. We know that the most impactful is the input lag problem where your keyboard/mouse/controller doesn't register input in high-intensity situations. We are doing everything we can to figure out what is causing this and how to fix it as soon as possible.

    When we have an update on these issues, we will let you know.

    April 9th.

    This was the last time any zos employee has commented on this thread regarding performance in any capacity.

    Anything after this was editing and removing peoples comments for "violations".

    And they wonder why we are getting more toxic as this thread grows?

    WHERE IS THE COMMUNICATION? WHERE IS THE TRANSPARENCY? WHY ARE WE BEING IGNORED?

    Your game has been unplayable for many people since update 25, which is the BIRTH of the form of desyncs we are STILL experiencing today. The desyncs have not been fixed.

    The server performance aside, skill delay and positional desyncing between the client and server is abysmal

    This is not lag.

    It's desync.

    I feel like a broken record but no one is addressing this. There still is no response - SINCE APRIL 9TH!!!!!!!!
